Good hostel in the center of Murcia

Good hostel in the center of Murcia. Great location, friendly staff, hot shower.

Bed curtains would be a plus. Kitchen was a bit dirty.

Agradable hostel muy céntrico y con personal muy atento

El personal muy amable y atento. Los baños muy limpios y confortables. Posibilidad de utilizar la cocina y compartir el desayuno con otros huéspedes. Desayuno incluido en el precio. Relación precio/calidad imbatible. Genial en mi opinión.

Strange owner

The owner couldn't speak english. He was very picky with everything and controlled everything all the time even when there is a bit of soap on the glass or you're not sitting on couch with your feet on the ground. He also got angry when we didn't understand him. He made us asking about the belongings in the fridge instead of doing that himself. Very uncomfortable feeling and everyone of us had this. Strange hostel but the rest was great.

Cheap basic accommodation that is well located.

The location of the property was very central to the old town and the property had a lift. The wifi was reliable. The accommodation was cheap so was value for moneys

On arrival, I was provided with wet bedding linen and when I went to ask for different linen they continued to hand me wet linen. It took quite a bit of insistence for them to give me dry linen. I had the AC on during the day (it was 38 degrees) when I was in the room and the employee walked in and made me turn it off, despite the room not staying cool when it was off and me having only been in the room for 20 min. The power went off multiple times whilst I was there and the shower head wouldn’t stay in the position so it had to be used as a handheld shower. This is not a social hostel.

Very good

Lovely building and friendly staff. I was lucky to have a six bed room to myself! Big, well-equipped kitchen where I met other guests. Well located.

Shower room a little basic, but served its purpose. Locker, although free, was a little small.

Disturbing smell in room of body odour, sweat and flatulance

Decent enough location

The room itself had a mixed up smell of body odour, sweat, flatulance, feet and made me feel pretty I'll One person in my room was snoring loud and completely disturbed my sleep The communal shower that had several showers there room was mixed for male and female which is absolutely bizarre and I didn't use it because of the complete awkwardness of that shower room set up, The room itself is outdated, cracked floor tiles and had a sense of not very clean.. That's my perspective of my stay there The staff was nice though, 🙂

Very good

Its a good hostel! For the good price that you can get the rooms for you cant really complain about anything. The hostel is very central, has multiple bathrooms in the building and has a nice kitchen/dining area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming :)

Perfect location

Very nice location and a very quiet stay. Nice bathrooms and very nice staff. Could not be more in the center of the city. Would recommend.

In the beginning the entrance of the hostel was not that easy to find but after all they let me in and they showed me around the hostel really nice.

Very good

I made a mistake by smoking in the common room. I have apologized for my bad behavior to the staff. I want to state that this was my error and should not reflect on the Cathedral Hostel, who dy not condone this. I don't want bad reviews because of my action.

Don't expect English here, bring earplugs. Clean

very central, adequate price, clean, kitchen area, enough bathrooms/toilets. On request, I got a new set of bedclothes.

2/3 staff members I talked to were unable (or unwilling) to speak English. Everybody's darling Mario preferred to speak Italian to _everyone_, even if they dont know any Italian. He was been rather rude and unfriendly most of the time. The beds have no curtains and no private lights, there is too much light coming in from outside the rooms, at least 2 rooms lead to the main street which is rather loud until ~23:00. There are no places to hang wet clothes. Maybe not so much fault of the hostel, but both my rooms were too loud/bright. I had a hard time sleeping here in general. Without prior message, no checkin possible between 13 and 17 o'clock! My first set of bedclothes smelled; either because they weren't properly washed (which I assume to 80%) or because they were not dried properly (20% chance). One of the showers only had cold water when I tried it. Two of the toilets are not really closed; I have no idea who came up with this setup (in the main bathroom).

A beautiful hostel with very friendly staff. You rather feel like coming to a family's home than coming to a hostel when you enter. Very cozy, clean and located in the center.

Beds are a little bit "worn out" like when you climb upstairs or turn around they make noises and shake. No plugs next to bed.

Great place but weird reception guy

The location is really great, from the balcony you can see the cathedral and you can access everything by walking. Supermarket is round the corner and generally the hostel is really nice and clean! Bathroom is very clean such as the kitchen. The ladies that work there were also really friendly and helpful.

My only problem in this hostel was the Italian guy who stays at the hostel and also helps out there. He may be a nice guy but I felt extremely uncomfortable around him as he asked me if I like Italian guys and my Passport picture is pretty.. stuff like this and then giving be a bed in the same room as him. I changed the room as i didn’t feel right about that. He also don’t know English, he only speaks Italian. Then he comes into the room constantly and changing things which were in my eyes unnecessarily. It’s not only my view. I talked with a lot of people with a similar opinion.
