Location. Host very friendly

The room was lovely and so was the property. It was so cozy and you felt completely at home. Even the nearby town was extremely charming.
My partner and I regretted not staying there for longer.

What can I say? beautiful. Just so fabulously French.

What a treat to find such a lovely tucked away place with a genuine welcome, super rooms, cosy lounge with log fire, attentive service and elegant decor. Our best sleep in the whole of our stay in France and it's a very relaxed atmosphere.
As far as we are concerned nothing.

To be honest, nothing.

This is a perfect place to stay, a beautiful house and comfortable bedrooms. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was great. I had my best sleep in years staying here, calm and restful.

The weather !!!

One of the most charming places we’ve ever stayed! The house is beautiful and the room we had (Rose Room) was very cozy with a huge tub for relaxing after long days of exploring Normandy. The hosts are kind, hospitable, and make you feel very safe and at home. There are some sweet indoor/outdoor cats that do enter the common areas (to be aware for allergies). We had a delicious opt-in dinner made by our hosts that was our best meal of the visit to Normandy. Other guests in the chateau were quiet and polite. We’d happily return again.
The town of Domfront is also very charming though small and easily explored in one afternoon. We used this as a home base for longer day trips up to the coast for WWII sites. It was a perfect place to return to and feel at home in Normandy with authentic charm of a 19th century farm manor.
My sole complaint would be that the bed in the Rose Room is too soft and saggy in the middle, and took a couple nights to get used to. I think an updated mattress and some cozy bathrobes would turn this place into bucolic luxury!
Just note there are barely any dinner options in town, some takeaway pizzas but not open every night. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel one night but it’s not always an option, the other nights we got takeout, brought home leftovers, or groceries to heat up quick meals with permission.

The owners were both friendly and helpful. Richard gave us a great recommendation of a local grill house that was open. His wife keeps a tight ship, with a wonderful breakfast and friendly banter. Would love to go back.
The internet was off while we stayed, which was a little tricky. Something about someone going through the cable. Every thing else was great.

Great family, great atmosphere, great facilities

Clear and spacious room. Hosts are very
nice and friendly family working as a team including
kids. Comfortable family atmosphere.
Nothing worth mentioning. The day we came there
was no internet because the main cable was cut during
construction work, but this is not the fault of the host. Cards
were not working, so he offered an alternative way to pay not
involving cash.

We received a lovely warm welcome with tea and biscuits after a long hot drive. Victoria and Richard are brilliant hosts. Couldn't fault them.
We loved the house and gardens. Very clean and comfortable and restful. A short drive into Domfront. Definitely recommend.

A beautiful country house and gardens, 2 km. from a historic town.
The hosts are friendly, attentive and professional.
Recommended.

Second visit. Charming and friendly hosts with sweet and helpful children and very comfortable room! Would definitely return again.
Nothing really. Had it been wet weather a TV might have been nice.

Welcome was genuine; the owners and the family were charming; they offered us a complimentary glass of wine on arrival; dinner and wine were lovely and marvellous value; the breakfast was superb. The building and the garden were completely delightful
The only tiny little thing - is while we learned the names of the children - Charlie, George and Henry - it would have been lovely to have known the names of the delightful couple who own the property

Beautiful Manor house and grounds. Tranquil setting. Lovely english speaking hosts and great breakfast. We were surprised to be offered an evening meal which again was excellent. Great French experience.
