Lovely house with beautiful gardens. Very welcoming staff & owner. Quite quirky in a good way and in a lovely part of Suffolk. Would definitely like to return for a future visit. Also had an added bonus of chargers for our electric car. Highly recommend.
Nothing except for the fact that we were only there for one night.

This is an exceptional Country House Hotel with an excellent host keen to be of help without being overbearing or intrusive. There is no restaurant, it’s a country house exceptionally appointed. The breakfast was perfect. My highest recommendation.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

If you want to spend some time in a luxurious English country house, this is the place. It is approached from a long gravel drive, and then the magnificent house itself becomes visible. Our accommodation (in the Stables) was spacious, comfortable and clean, while the breakfast (extra) was very good.
While my wife likes a bath, I prefer a shower: our bathroom had a very nice roll-top bath, but no shower. Some rooms do have showers - so just be careful to specify when you book. A car is a must for visiting this establishment: there are no shops, pubs or restaurants within walking distance - though there is a church. For dinner - we highly recommend No.10 in Lavenham.

What a lovely place Rectory Manor is. Thank you so much Frank and Vickie as well as everyone else who works so hard to make Rectory Manor such a delight to stay at. The breakfast was huge as well as wonderful. And I can't forget to mention the two gorgeous dogs who greeted us so exuberantly. Thank you everyone once again..Eileen and Arthur Bates.

From our arrival to departure are stay at Rectory Manor was faultless. The Manageress Vicki & the owners son James were both charming & very welcoming. The house is privately owned & very comfortable throughout. Our bedroom was spacious & had a small balcony overlooking the grounds which was nice. Breakfast is buffet style & eaten on a long refectory table for all guests. However, we were the only guests during our two night stay. Our host recommended several restaurants in nearby Lavenham as the house is B & B only. We would love to stay here again when visiting this part of Suffolk!
The dust on the bed head but that's all!

A beautiful Manor House in lovely grounds.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming.
Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished.
The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and cooked to order.
I will definitely be returning in the summer to see the gardens in bloom and take a dip in the outside pool.

The grounds were stunning and the rooms all have a really nice and grand feel to them. The hosts were very friendly and helped create a very homely feel. We also enjoyed our breakfasts there.
The only thing that would be worth considering is having a drop box for keys for couples who are getting married. As it happened, we could pick up our keys the day before, but originally we would have had to send someone from the wedding party to pick them up on the morning of our wedding, and not before 12. This would have been okay as we were getting married at 2 pm, but I don't know what we would have done had we had a noon wedding. Really appreciated that the hosts wanted to show us everything in person though. I just think a dropbox option would cause wedding couples less stress.

The property itself is very comfortable, living room, dining room and the suite all welcoming and well appointed. Good selection of drinks fairly priced in the honesty bar, and warming in every sense log fires. Having the conservatory area in the room was a boon.
Frank his staff are extremely welcoming and nothing is too much to ask for. Also very good for sharing hints and tips on local restaurants, taxis etc.
The local area is abundant with beautiful villages and lovely walking countryside.
And those two sweeties Holly and Hazel can’t go without mention.
It all adds up to a wonderfully relaxing stay.

charming
bed was uncomfortable

Extensive facilities in wonderfully preserved classical surroundings. Attention to detail beyond reproach with some wonderful touches and staff extremely helpful without being intrusive.
A small thing. Difficult to navigate for the disabled guest. Wonderful bath tub in our suite but couldn't use as climbing in and out would have presented a huge challenge. Shower would have been more practical.

We loved the pool, which was heated.and clean. The house was obviously a welloved family home. The bed was comfortable too ,and James who who met us on arrival was charming and welcoming.
The house was a little tired and dusty in places. Paint work could do with a refresh and there were wires hanging down from the ceiling, which was unfortunate due to changes were being made to their fire alarms possibly.
Carpet in a bathroom is a big no and easy to change. Whiskey and Gin left in decanters is unusual and unnecessary, we think tea and coffee would be better postioned there than in a cupboard.
Basically just a few tweaks to make it special
