I loved the colourful, retro vibe of the hotel. The room we had was large, clean and comfortable. The lovely young guy who checked us in was very helpful. The location was central to the town and close to everything we required. It also has it's own secure parking.
I can't fault the hotel.

Proximity to the river is great and all the town's restaurants are within walking distance.
It was noted that there was free parking on the street - this was only 1-2 hours max.
Walked to the main door to enter which said: "Enter through bar" and when we went to the bar, we were told to go through the main door.
During check-in, the staff said: "I think your rooms are upstairs, but I don't actually know." She also said that continental breakfast, which is "literally just toast and cereal is served from 7:30-8:30am." When we arrived for breakfast at 7:40am the next morning, we were told to come back later as the lady wasn't ready and then pointed to a sign that said breakfast is at 8am on Sundays.
The location is on the busiest through street, so traffic will literally keep you up all night. With big enough trucks, the windows even rattle. The rooms are the back are just as bad as there is a usually busy beer garden with lots of drunk people.

An OK place to stay for a night in Moruya. The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable.
I stayed on a Saturday night and the music from downstairs was very loud in my room. I used earplugs but the bass frequencies still made it difficult to sleep. The music stopped around midnight.

This was our second time staying. Lovely friendly Staff, great shower, comfy bed.
Could not of asked for any more and will be back to stay again as it has all we need and very central.
Nothing really but would of had a warm dooner or a better blanket for the cold so we didn't have to run the aircon for heating all night.

the suite was 100% quiet in spite of being on the main street.
Roomy, multiple power-points
loved the character: colours and patterns
very clean, comfortable bed
if you're really nit-picking, there's dust in the bathroom airfilter

Room was very small as it had an extra bed which we did not need. Despite a Continental Breakfast advertised on the Monarch's website as part of a room deal, breakfast was not available at 8.15am when we had to leave. We mentioned the night before that we would like breakfast at 8.00am and they did not say we could/or could not have it. So we waited until 8.15 and there was no sign that there would ever be breakfast available. We cycled from Braidwood via Araluen to Moruya and return. A breakfast was important for us as we had 80km cycling ahead of us with 800m hills to climb. The drinks and the deco outdoor garden were great, however there was no food available at this place. As we were very tired this was not good for us. The fridge was very small and the freezer almost did not exist. I tried to freeze water in a bottle to take for the bike trip the next day, but could not fit in the freezer.
We liked the bed, staff were friendly, drinks were great. Monarch provided a safe secure place to lock up our bikes which was great.

Loved the character of the old building. the rooms were big and comfy! great value for money and friendly staff. Have a drink downstairs in the pub and play a game of pool, and make sure you visit the air raid tavern and get a feed at chez dominique. Great weekend away! Will stay again!

There is no longer a light breakfast served
It would be nice to have some crockery, cutlery and a toaster in the room to be able to fix ourselves a light breakfast in the morning.

Room and Hotel was what we expected from other reviews.
Hotel and rooms are bit old fashioned but it was a central, comfortable stay.
Rooms were serviced each morning with fresh towels, tea and coffe.

Clean, cheap accomodation. Good for a quick one night stay. Met expectations.
Very outdated, but that was expected.
