Breakfast varied and good with super service
Poor reception service at arrival. No food nor drink option that specific evening. Limited options presented, except 30 minutes walk down to city center

Very nice hotel, extended old castle. Modern, spacious room with a view over Würzburg. Good restaurant, with stylish dining possibilities and excellent breakfast.
For me personally it would have been nice with a gym, since I am a fervent gym goer. However there are nice walking opportunities in the hotel area.

excellent stay, with some insignificant inconveniences
The room wasn’t as pictured on booking. I missed some chocolate and wine in the refrigerator.

Location. View is great. Cute rooms. Free parking.
Restaurant on site has only 3-5 course menus. Nothing else. Quite expensive. Rooms are not very sound proof, i.e., you hear all the noise from the hallway..

it’s a unique place. A castle feel. It was a bit deserted and a little eerie for a solo traveler since it felt a bit like you were all alone there. very modern and clean rooms.
It’s quite isolated and the food is a bit tricky. The café serves à la cart but closes at five in the dining room is a fixed price menu that runs around €80 a person. I’m sure the chef is great but that’s pretty steep. I did eat in the café for dinner at 4:30 PM which was fine for me, but might not be for other people definitely a weakness in their offering.

You definitely can't beat the location in the vineyard. The room was beautiful and clean.
I was disappointed in the thin comforters on the beds ( no extra blankets available in the closet) and the cappuccino at breakfast. It tastes watered down and not what I expect in a 4 star accommodation.

my stay was very unpleasant, i have nothing to say
horrible, rude and selective stuff!!!!! breakfast was awful, smell in the hotel is awful as they do parties on the first floor and during our stay we were smelling like curry along with our suitcases!

Nice room, good food and wine.
On the third day the fruit salad at the breakfast buffet was unsatisfactory. Apples mushy, pineapple pieces brown, no orange pieces. The jam and marmalade were of low quality.

Obvisouly the view over the surrounding areas are fantastic
This is our 2nd time here and enjoyed it once again
The hotel is very well kept and clean.
Rooms were great we upgraded to a room on the new section.
Staff were available and had excellent customer communication
I noted 2 faults
The evening meal was no longer a menu choice and was a set menu only 4 or 5 course
We had the 4 course at 84 euro extra for drinks
Im not a big eater so asked the next night if i could have just the main from there set and was told no ,So we ate in town the following nights.
No tea and coffee machines in such an upmarket hotel and did not make up room each day very poor excuse blaming Covid, whilst travelling for the past 6 weeks this was the first time
this card was played.

The outdoor views were lovely overlooking the lovely town of Wurzburg from the hilltop where the hotel is built.
I was given a single room as the hotel was nearly booked out at the time of booking. However, it didn't seem that busy when we arrived. My room was in the old part of the hotel, and the room was tiny with no air conditioning, making it uncomfortable in the heat.
We arrived on BMW motorbikes and went for a beer straight after checking in. We were in our biking gear, and very hot. When we asked if we could sit at a table with a view over the town, we were told that this was impossible as they were all reserved. We got a table outside against a wall. The waiter took forever to bring our drinks, and it seemed like he looked down at us as we were on motorbikes.
After freshening up, we came back down and sat at the same table. A lovely girl served us, and we asked if we could have a table at the front with a view. She said they were reserved but could see what she could do. Thankfully she gave us one of the reserved tables. We decided we didn't want a large meal, so we asked if we could have some German sausages from the menu and a cheese board with meats and crusty bread. These items were not on the menu. The waitress said she would ask the chef. She returned and told us that the cold meats and cheeses were required for breakfast the following morning, and we could not have any.
The following morning we had a late breakfast, and we were some of the last people to leave. There was so much cheese and cold meats left over that they could have fed half of Wurzburg with it. What a shame the staff let the hotel down with poor service and an attitude that the customer was a nuisance. Also, the reserved tables at the front with the lovely views. Well six of them were empty for the whole evening with no customers yet they all had reserved signed on them. Dissapointing to say the least.

The room was nice and the breakfast was very good. the view from the terrace was very nice.
The staff in the reception when we arrived made us feel as if we were bothering them and we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome that had we been able to cancel we would have left immediately. The staff and service off the place considered this place us highly overpriced.

Best breakfast we had in Europe!

Incredible location, very very beautiful and the staff went the extra mile for my partner’s birthday. Thank you so much as it made our stay extra special!
It was a little expensive in comparison to other stays (in February) however I understand this is probably due to the location despite it being low season for tourism.

beautiful hotel with excellent service. The breakfast was delicious

Room was really good and more than we expected, especially the view from room was so nice.
Pool were good (even though there was limitation due to corona)
Breakfast at restaurant was really good (Staff were kind and friendly and accepted our special order)
Dinner was not good for us because it took more than 3 hours for 3 dishes. It was the day served only 1 course menu however it took really long time ,especially desert took almost 1 hour...
Honestly speaking service was not good as expected. We ordered paring wine (4 glass of wine) but one of us was not served all wines (only 3), and after finishing payment but during eating desert, all staff were gone...
That was the reason why we chose room service next day.
I surely understand less people work due to Corona, but all people who visits expect same good service as before (Corona should not be the reason or excuse)

Location was absolutely stunning. The staff very friendly and helpful. We traveled with young kids and the staff helped us a lot with the extra beds and cot. Do not forget to ask for the tasting menu at the restaurant.
More choices for breakfast but not a concern as the buffet was already rich. The jams were wonderful.

The staff was wonderful and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast each morning as well as the restaurant for a couple evenings. The room and view was perfect!
