The location is superb with direct access to the beautiful Lake. All very calm and serene, only the swan swims by here and then.
Breakfast and other meals are served outside in a beautiful garden/terrace with Lake view.
Hotel itself is in the 60ies style wich suits the surrounding, all neat and clean.

Location is a dream, staff are wonderful, food to die for
Unfortunately no late evening buses to and from Lugano.

The hotel is lovely, old charm but perhaps could be smarter. The rooms are fine , fairly basic but with a view to die for. The owners are kind and helpful. There is a food shop opposite the entrance which is handy and there are 2 more eating establishments in the village.
It’s peaceful and quiet, no sign of a HM store.
Breakfast was good but not great. Certainly a lot of staff serving.
The rooms could be more luxurious but then the prices should increase, they are reasonably priced now

Beautiful family hotel on the shores of the lake. The room was cozy with a balcony and a view of the lake. The morning swim in the lake was an experience. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious. The only minus was the breakfast - a bit small menu, despite this the hotel has my highest rating and I highly recommend it.
Small breakfast menu

The location of this hotel was really outstanding .If you are a summer visitor the hotel provides a lakeside location with swimming in the lake and where the restaurant extends onto the garden terrace. The restaurant service is of the highest quality, with the waiters trained to serve at table. They were very attentive and well supervised. The food was well prepared as one might expect. There was a good choice ,both in the evening and in the morning, when an omelette with a choice of fillings was a pleasing addition. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the lake.
There is limited garage parking available; but we thought this option too expensive ,given the option of public parking metres further on. The sleep quality was affected by the quality of pillows, too hard for our liking.

Everything! A beautiful location on the quiet and tranquil Lake Lugano.
The effortless style and originality.
The food in the restaurant and the stunning location to eat and relax.
The birdsong and quiet mornings.
All in all just perfect.
Thank you 🙏🏻

The Hotel is directly on the lake with a romantic terrace and garden with shady nooks and a beautiful view wherever you sit. A sundeck on the lakeside provided easy access for swimmers. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. A morning Lakeside view from the room was always a good start to the day.
The restaurant had a small menu (end of season), but everything was well cooked and presented, the service impeccable.
The breakfast did not fit in with the good image of the rest of the Hotel. It was "microscopic" and every day the same. One German guest remarked that it was not what you would call "reichhaltig". Definately, an understatement! That no one complained, shows perhaps how well the guests rated the other services.
Parking, as on most lakeside Hotels, was a problem. They did their best, however.

the view from the room is super beautiful. the hotel is very classic and its opened since maybe 1910. we love the place
the breakfast choice is very simple. the balcony and the terrace at night have no lighting at all. it's very dark.

Great location, the room was clean , bathroom getting dated
Breakfast wasn’t included, parking at the hotel at extra cost , where parking should be included.
Not all the staff were helpful and friendly.

The old historical setup, the hotel was built in the 1700s .. wow!

the location is very romantic breakfast anddinner at the waters edge. you can relax by the lake before swimming in it. great walks from the hotel but up hill and taxing. good restaurant with a menu it will take 4 days to get bored with.
it is quite dated, no tea making facilities in the room, air conditioning was not working, no fridge in the room

It is conveniently located, next to Lugano. Has nice view from windows. Good restaurant, tasty food. Staff in reception is extremely helpful and flexible.
Rooms are rather small and beds (especially pillows) are not so comfortable, probably my expectations were on the high side.

We liked the room with a balcony overlooking the lake. We were pleased that we could reserve a parking place. The outside dining area was very nice.
We didn’t feel to be made welcome by the dining staff, who were bordering on being rude! We didn’t like the fact that the tables are pre allocated for evening meals and breakfast, we sat next to the same couple on both and the tables were too close for any privacy. We didn’t like how breakfast was served, no options, no buffet, just bringing out random breakfast items to the table whether you wanted them or not! In fact everyone else got a boiled egg but we didn’t? The dining staff need retraining on how to provide customer service, and the breakfast arrangements need a review!

An excellent location on the Lake, with easy access to the water for swimming. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the front of the hotel right on the shores of Lake Lugano. Very helpful and friendly staff. A good choice!

Excellent service from the staff. The pontoon and sunbeds for swimming in the lake. The lakeside location for meals and sitting outside and views from our room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful. The evening meals were superb. Thank you
The decor needs refreshing.

The location could not be any better. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast with a fabulous view on the lake, great food, a small hotel, nice area to go hiking, taking a swim in the afternoon, it is just unbelievable beautiful and you notice that is is family owned. Superb location and we cannot wait to get back there again.

The location is superb, right on the like with private access. The garden and the restaurant were amazing. The staff were very helpful and polite. Overall, this is the perfect hotel for a weekend get-away.
Some of the common areas, the carpet, etc are in need of renovation.
