The breakfast was amazing. The bed was firm and comfortable. Nice full-size tub in the bathroom. Convenient to all the great shops, pubs and restaurants in town. Nice little garden in the back. Plenty of seating in the lobby to hang out. Marconi Restaurant is good. The place has the overall look and feel of a classic Irish small hotel. Nice to have access to an in-house bar, Mullarkeys. Staff was friendly and helpful. Off-street parking is a big plus in this town.
I booked a double room, but we ended up with a triple. Didn't need the twin bed. Some of the doors to the other rooms were open and it looked like the double rooms were much nicer. No washcloths in the bathroom. No fan or air-conditioning. It was unseasonably hot during our stay. Noisy. Someone knocked over something over as we were falling asleep the second night. It sounded like pots falling off of a rack or something. Woke us up and we couldn't get back to bed.

Beautiful traditional hotel, in a great location on the one of the main streets in Clifden. Lots of lounges and comfortable seating areas to read, chat or watch the world go by. Lovely breakfast. Bed was so comfortable and room was huge. Close to beautiful white beaches and amazing roads and scenery. The Sky Road was not as good as expected but the road around the next peninsula through Claddaghduff and Cleggan Pier was much more interesting. All in all it was a lovely end to our trip around the Wild Atlantic Way before our return journey to Dublin for our ferry home.

The location-it was very central. Good service and good breakfast.
Room a little tired, shabby furniture and carpet.

Foyles hotel is the most welcoming , authentically Irish place of hospitality that one could find in the west of Ireland. The staff are amazingly helpful & genuinely warm and professional. I was sick in bed for 24 hours and they brought my food to my room so I could be comfortable etc.

From once we arrived until our departure, we were greeted with friendly staff. The food was amazing, fabulous breakfast would set you right for the day. We ate both nights in Marconi's what can I say about the menu... we were spoilt for choice. The music in the bar was easy listening, and not too loud. A great location right in the centre of town.
I'd definitely recommend Foyles Hotel.

Foyles Hotel stands regally in the centre of this friendly picturesque town of Clifden. A traditional looking hotel that holds it own. The room had a excellent bed with high quality bedding. The carpet regal green and tasteful dark brown furniture worked well. Breakfast was very good and varied in a pleasant breakfast room with nice staff. Had dinner directly opposite at Guys bar in which very enjoyable. The hotel is worth in my opinion that bit extra. Connemara is a special place to be with Irish hospitality Clifden Represents this area. Anthony Browne.
