We had the separate apartment with large living / dining room incl. small kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom. For breakfast (and if you wanted dinner) the meals were brought over from the main building. Cooking was extraordinarily good with mainly local product. Great views into the valley, nice pool for refreshment. The grounds are very well maintained with beautiful gardens.

Amazing experience at Quinta De Guimaraes. The property is beautiful and relaxing, with stunning views of the Douro valley. The host, Fernanda, is so kind, hospitable, and a great cook! We really enjoyed the dinner she made for us, plus the amazing breakfasts. Fernanda’s cooking was better than any restaurant we visited on our trip to Portugal. We’d love to come back one day!

The whole family loved this farm. It was quiet and relaxing with plenty to do if you choose to do so. (Pool, tennis, game room, in season harvest grapes activities, hiking) Cutting grapes and stomping them was a favorite for the kids. Mine was hiking and taking in the beauty of the farm. The meals made by the host were the most amazingly delicious home-made meals with fresh fruit and veggies from the property. Completely worth it, to stay in and enjoy the inviting comfy cozy cottage. The host was a gem, a sweet lady who helped to make out visit perfect. Thank you!
Our stay was too short.

Very spacious and quiet, unique cottage type apartment. We enjoyed the dinners prepared by Frenanda and her sister. And of course the vinho verde prepared on the estate. We walked around the estate, enjoyed grapes off the vine, vistas of the Douro, the family dogs and donkey. The garden is beautiful, all organic and used to prepare our dinners.
The cottage did not have wifi but we had lots of data so it was not an issue.

Quinta de Guimaraes is one of the most unique and incredible places our family has ever stayed! We had four rooms in the main house and it was a wonderful experience to stay in such a historic property. The grounds are gorgeous with vineyards and flower gardens, a game room with ping pong table, and of course the amazing pool and lawn, with fabulous views of the Douro Valley. Fernanda was the best host making us feel at home, telling the stories of the family/property, and made us incredible breakfasts every morning. And on our final night she made us dinner which we ate outside by the pool. Can’t recommend a stay here highly enough, we can’t wait to come back again!

It felt like being a guest at a grand country home. Fernanda and her team were exceptionally welcoming and the food was outstanding. Better than anything we ate on our travels throughout Portugal. We will be back!
The pillows could be upgraded… the wifi was only available in the living room and while some people may not like that, it was actually a welcome break for us.

Unik place to stay - Fernanda was amazing ! Great breakfast and great dinner. She was very Nice and gave us good ideas for sightseeing. The view from the place was amazing. We have no complaints.
A bit far from the bigger cities, but it wea not a problem since Fernandas cooking was great (and at a reasonable price).

We had an absolutely incredible stay! From the minute we arrived at the breathtakingly beautiful location we were taken care of as if we were family rather than paying guests. We had most of our meals on location - which I highly recommend since everything we ate was very delicious, even with high portugese standards. Planning to come back ASAP - Muito Obrigado!

Amazing building, warm and welcoming host, fantastic food experience with biological products and regional dishes, individual tourism as small number of rooms. Pool is a clear plus and the garden is beautiful.
We liked everything!

Everything exceed my expectations. The hospitality provided by Fernanda and her sister was super amazing. Thanks for her home-made cake as a welcome gift and show us around .
No wifi, but good for digital detox. Anyway, you can still access with your own mobile data.

We were travelling in a group of 3 couples and we loved our stay in the 3-bed apartment.
We could not have asked for a better experience waking up in the large bedrooms all with en-suites and heading to the living space with amazing views across the vineyard.
Evenings were spent together around the fire drinking port.
While modest from the front, the interior exceeded our exceptions.
We loved exploring the grounds, with a pool, tennis courts and swings and meeting the donkey in the forest.
The views of the Douro Valley, particularly from the mirador were sensational.
The farm dogs were so friendly and even walked us back to the apartment after dinner in the old house. They felt like our personal guard dogs.
Fernanda was a gem giving us a tour of the old house, preparing dinner and giving us fruit for our onwards journey back towards Porto.
We’ll definitely be back!

The rooms are large and cozy kitchen with all the accessories .
The view from the apartment magnificent, allowing a unique and intense perspective on the Douro Valley
It was relaxing to walk around beautiful vineyards. Live like in heaven

No Wi-Fi, and the apartment's a little far from a supermarke.

Wonderful stay.
The staff was very welcoming, helpful and kind. Also, great meals with local tasty products.

Great location. Wonderful friendly hostess. Quiet and child-friendly area. Nice facilities with games room and outdoor playground. Thank you for lots of good grapes straight from the farm and fresh bread every morning!
No internet in the house we stayed in, only in the main building on the farm. For people who depend on having remote access to work, sharing your own mobile G4 connection is not ideal.

Everything was just perfect! The Quinta itself - the atmosphere of old, but nicely preserved Portuguese mansion, the breakfast - homemade jams & bread, organic eggs, freshly made traditional pastries, the dinner - codfish and beef were absolutely delicious, homegrown organic vegetables, fresh fruits and berries from the garden, dessert, local wine from Douro, you name it!
The accomodation was very comfortable, we had a feeling of living in a very unique and special place, not to mention the vineyards, and breathtaking landscapes! Fernanda, the host, was extremely nice and welcoming.
We enjoyed our stay very much, the one thing we regret, is that we stayed there only for 3 days... Highly recommend and we will definitely come back!
