We arrived at the hotel late, almost at midnight. The children were very tired, and all we wanted was to quickly check in and go to bed. The price of the room on booking.com was 95 euros. The hotel offered me to pay 125 euros for the same room and at the same time explained for a long time why it was not necessary to book a room through the site. The explanations were some strange, to be honest, I did not understand them. Therefore, I still decided to book a room through booking.com. And problems started right away. Firstly, I was immediately told that it was impossible to send the children to sleep until the registration was completed, as this was contrary to "Hungarian laws". Secondly, since the number is paid through the site, and not directly, registration will take 30 minutes longer. And, of course, in the process of registration, the employee urgently needed to call someone, go somewhere, and so on. In general, we went to bed somewhere around one in the morning.
Yes, of course, not 95 euros were deducted from my card (as indicated on the website), but 106 euros, but here I was not even surprised and did not ask why.

Nothing.
We had a great inconvenience during our stay at the hotel. The cleaning lady who cleaned the room did not change the bed linen, towels, vacuumed...practically did nothing except for one thing...
on the last night when we started to pack we noticed that our three watches were missing. We called the police, who carried out an investigation and returned the watches to us at 4 a.m. the same night. The story was like we forgot all three hours on the chair.. Big shame

The location is a bit far from the main attractions, but with a 35 min straight connection in the center of the city. the room was clean and spacious, staff were very welcoming and 24hr reception and spoke good English.

The hotel is old and dated, but the rooms are clean. There is no elevator so be careful if you have heavy luggage. It is far away from the city center so I recommend it for those you are travelling by car. You also get free parking so this is a bonus.
The check-out is at 10am so have this in mind if you are a lazy morning person.

The hotel bar and bathing and toilet facilities rocked, too

i stayed with hotel palota while visiting the city of Budapest, you will struggle to find another hotel with reasonable prices that match the quality here room was cleaned daily and the staff were more than able to help with any information I needed on my travel.
hotel palota is about a arms reach from the city centre but will you will need a taxi or bus on your trip to reach the city this price adds up and can’t add a large sum on your stay.

The people at the reception were most friendly!!! The hotel has some parking space. At this Budapest-District, cars can park also outside the hotel without paying any fees! The Breakfast was good!
The room was dark and had only a little roof-window, which could be open only 10 cm, (but only, if you climb onto the bed.) So it was hot and sticky all the time! (Maybe other rooms are bettter?)

Budget room with low price acceptable. Bathroom and toilet outside the room but ok

Friendly staff, clean rooms, spatious breakfast room, nicely furnished.
Too small places for cars, difficult parking. Very basic breakfast selection, no fruits. Rooms are Ok, but no tables for work.

BE AWARE!!! The air-conditioning is centrally controlled and it's only switched on if the owner thinks the weather is hot enough. Apparently 30 degrees is not hot enough. When I couldn't turn on the AC after checking in I went down to the reception to ask for help. The lady was very helpful and explained that it's centrally controlled and the owners think it's not hot enough yet so it's currently not on but she promised to ask them if it could be turned on.It was 28-30 degrees outside and my room was in the attick and felt even hotter than outside probably 32-33 degrees.Couple hours later I went downstairs to ask about the AC again. Found an another lady at the reception. She said she saw the owners reply and they said the AC is off to prevent the guests from using it and it can't just be turned on like that. First they have to clean all of them and that's not going to happen during my stay. Then the receptionist lady told me to just open the window but the window in my room could only be opened 10cm wide. She said it's possible to open it wider but she can't help me with it because she can't leave the reception. I tried everything but couldn't figure out how to open the window wider so the room stayed hot through the entire night and I could barely sleep. The heat made my entire time there extremely uncomfortable. The only relief from the heat was opening the door because even the hallway was cooler than the room but that took all my privacy away.DO NOT list air-conditioning among the facilities if you're not going to provide it.

Very polite and helpful staff, clean rooms, excellent breakfast and a bit tight but safe parking. It is relatively far from city center but you can get there fast by bus that stops close to the hotel.
Everything was fine.

I visited Budapest before driving on Hungaroring, I've parked my trailer with race car in the Hotel Parking for free. Breakfast was good and big. Good position to reach highway and city center via public transport (bus station is next to the hotel, train station is 10 minutes walking). Had not time to use swimming pool but it was included in the room price. Pretty good experience.
