Beautiful views, lovely private beach. but quite far from town, not great shower and didn’t get our room right.

The view from the room was outstanding, the private beach and pool were lovely, the staff were helpful.

we had booked a double bed, but our room had twins. they offered us another room but it didn’t have nearly as good a view and was smaller. we ended up in the original room, but felt the staff were a bit off with us after that. The breakfast didn’t look great so we went out instead. The shower was very forceful, and it didn’t drain properly, so we ended up shin deep in water. The property is in a lovely location but about 25 mins walk from the town.

Perfect quiet beach holiday

Lovely views of the beach from our room balcony. The private beach area was perfect - great not to have to pay for sun loungers and parasols. You could also rent beach towels which was very handy. We didn't use the pool, but the pool area looked clean and with sun loungers around. Our boat was a few hours after checkout and the team very kindly kept our bags so we could use the beach for a bit longer and organised a taxi for us. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The area itself was quite quiet, with a few local restaurants around - not sure if this is due to the time of year. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk to Poros town where there was a bit more hustle and bustle and a larger selection of bars and restaurants - perfect for walking off those delicious Greek dinners!

Nothing not to like. The only downside was the hotel restaurant was closed in the evening during our trip, which we may have potentially used if it was open.

a relaxing beach side holiday.

A fantastic family run hotel in idyllic beach front location. Direct access to the sandy beach from the hotels verandas. Brilliant views of the water and island. large spotlessly clean rooms with modern bathroom and with good wifi. Buffet breakfast was fine for 10e. Poros is a lovely island. Highly recommended

Great location and what you need for a Greek beach holiday

Location is lovely. Relaxed holiday vibe and breezy cool bedrooms if you have the amazing sea view

Breakfast was ok. Cut fresh fruit was needed at breakfast. Person who was first on reception was not very helpful when my children needed another key.

Perfect hotel for the busy August period as we had our own private pool and beach included.

Fantastic sea views. Clean private beach with free sunbeds, sun shades. and fresh water shower. Clear sea water. The pool is clean with super sun terrace overlooking the beach with a life guard for the children. Great location. All areas are very clean. Very comfy bed. Food is good and reasonably priced. Professional and friendly service from all staff. Ideal for people of all ages. Excellent Hotel. Thank you George and the team.

lovely beach right outside for hotel residents lovely food for lunch (we never had breakfast) very friendly, accommodating stuff who organised taxis etc for us nice sized room which was cleaned every morning air con was good kept us going through the heat

long walk in the heat to the main village of Poros, we hired scooters which were cheap so it didn’t pose a massive issue

The view and the beach are incredible. The location is quite which was highly appreciated. . Nearby restaurants were very good. Accommodation and the facilities were super clean.

The breakfast is poor and old-fashioned. Way under the standard of the facilities. The service at the bar was also poor and too expensive for the service delivered.

Golden View

I Had an amazing holiday there. The staff were so friendly and chatty, particularly in reception and in the restaurant. It also had it's own private beach with free sunbeds - which is great for a solo traveller because all the public beaches charge for 2 sunbeds regardless. The swimming pool was lovely and good to get a proper swim when the pool opened at 10am and before too many people were around.

Not much everything was fine. The pool opened at 10am which was a bit late. I would have liked to be able to swim from 8am. Also I just felt it was a bit pricey compared with other local hotels.

Fantastic Will return

The hotel is ideally situated with stunning views,a great pool and private beach.The rooms are great and trhe staff go out of their way to help.I was in a party of 5 who all feel the same.

The breakfasts were okay but not very well presented .A little work in this and they will be great.

Great Poros hotel

The Golden View has a great location with wonderful water views as well as views of the town. Very easy to walk to town. Small sandy beach and a nice pool. Very good buffet breakfast.

My family and I had an amazing stay

The hotel is clean and neat, has it's own beach and swimming pool

The view from the balcony is amazing, we had a room on second floor, it overlooks the beach, the bay, and even Pelopponisos.

Pleasant

The hotel was nice especially the view and the beach which was just under our balcony. Beds were comfortable . The staff was not friendly especially the receptionist . However another receptionist called Maria was nice despite her struggle with English. She was really friendly and helpful compared with the the receptionist Athena. She should not be there indeed cause she gave very negative vibes. The restaurant staff were nice also cleaning ladies . Beach was amazing but we were unlucky with the weather. It was cold and windy . Location is nice with 5 minutes away by taxi from the center. It was amazing to sleep at night while hearing the sound of the sea waves. Loved the shower and the water pressure. Wish if there was a longer mirror .

Amazing stay at this hotel, deserving more than its 2 stars!

Amazing hotel! Perfect Location, quiet, peaceful but 15 min away from the town if needed. The private beach was great, not crowded with clean water. The view is probably one of the best of the island. The entire hotel is clean, beds are new and confortable and ACs are not loud, great shower as well. The staff is really nice and helpful, doing the extra thing to make you feel nice (special mention to Paris at the bar, Panos (?) the waiter at the beach, Athina and Maria at the reception). Swimming pool was also great. Deserve way more than the 2 stars it has now.

If we had to find only thing... maybe that the walls are too thin, so you might hear the people next door in the morning. But honestly, the hotel is too good to focus on that!
