This was much cheaper than Brussels city centre hotels, but just as good overall, and I found it easy to commute to city cetnre by train, bus or metro. My room was big, clean, comfy. The house was quiet, I barely noticed other guests and the hosts. The house is on a quiet side street, a short walk to metro, bus and train stations. Communication was via whatsapp, which I don't normally use but no problem, and the "instruction videos" were very useful and easy to follow. I met my host in person only once, they were friendly and happy to advise me. I hope to return on my next Brussels trip!
I was unsure about sharing a bathroom, but it was not really a problem, I just had to wait once when it was occupied by another guest, and it was always spotlessly clean. Room on top floor might put off some travellers (eg my wife!) but I found the stairs not a problem, and useful exercise. I don't use WhatsApp and had to spend a bit of time figuring outb how to use this, but this turned out to be a useful life skill - I can WhatsApp other people now!

The room was a good size, tidy and comfortable with lots of charm and character. We thought that the stay was great value for money.

Transport connections and the views from the window
Check in procedure a bit complicated

Quiet area, comfortable and close to the metro. I didn't meet Ayse but she was very accommodating and had very clear instructions on how to get to my accomm. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Huge room top.

It looked better than in pictures. It was close to the atomium and also only 2 minutes to the metro. Great location and host. I really recommend it.

Household really rude, they are living in the same house but they didn’t meet you at all, they don’t help when u writing them, and all that they care is that I leave 2 wrap from candies not in the bin, it’s crazy - they wrote me after about it.
Never stay there.
Linen dirty and it’s noise from street
and it’s far from center city

Very private and amazing value for money. A bit of a walk out of city centre, but i enjoyed that. Food/supermarkets and parks are all in short walking distances.
There was a random cat meowing in the house at one point in the night.

The host communicated everything and made everything clear without me needing to ask.
The location is well connected to the centre via public transport. The Atomium isn't too far away on foot.
The house was generally very quiet and I never needed to wait for the shared bathroom.
The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.
The price I paid relative to the other options was very reasonable.
Whenever there was noise, it seemed quite loud from room. Without earplugs, I could hear the front door from the top floor every time it was closed and creaking on the stairs, with thebroad outside the front being quite loud at times. With earplugs and the window closed, I had no issue.

The room looks nice, it has double bed, sofa + table, another table, wardrobe. There are tissues, coffee, tea, The bathroom is clean. The location is 15-20 min. by tram from the city centre. Tram station is in front of the building. The nearest metro station is 5 min. walking.
The host sent me the instruction how to enter the house and room too late (few hours before I had to arrive). Unfortunately, I don't have internet in my mobile phone, so I couldn't know about that. I called him, but his English it's not so good. After I intended to enter the house several times following his instructions and couldn't do it, I make him several questions about that (e.g. is it this or that? what now?, etc.), but there was no answer. So I had to do by myself until I didn't figure it out how to do it.
I came earlier in Brussels to have my own time and I wanted to be in the room. But there was no heating during the day. Then I contacted the host and he said the cable probably had been disconnected, and he would send his sons to fix that. Heating appeared. But next day again there was no heating. The maid came to clean the room and I send a message to the host, after that, heating appeared.
The zone (location) is near the city centre, but in the street where is the nearest shop (a minute form the house) there are homeless people sleeping on the street, street sellers.
There are some plates, glasses, forks, spoons, but it's not possible to wash them.

As I had school I had to take the last train from Amsterdam hence, I arrived at 10pm. That night, there was traffic so I arrived 30-40 min later and the owner's son was kind enough to wait for me. This was a pleasant start to the stay. Additionally, the bed was very comfortable and the room itself was very nice :). There was an oven and plates and also a sofa and a table. The location had some great food places around for fast food and kebabs. Also, the area had a supermarket nearby and was in front of a tram stop and few minutes walk (like 2-3 min) to the metro station. This made it super convenient. Using the tram it took about 20-30 minutes to the Grand-Place and a lot (like a lot) less to the atomium. There was also a coffee machine, I did not use it but it was nice it was there as an option.
The only very small downside for me was mainly the bathroom being on a different floor, but nothing you can do about it (like this was a small "lowland country" style home and it is quite typical to be like this) and it was not a big issue at all. The bathroom itself is VERY clean and nice. Another one is the keys, if you lose them, the fine is quite absurd in my opinion. In that instance, It might be more beneficial for this guesthouse to use electronic code locks or something like that sort. However, again it is not a big issue as I did not and wouldn't lose the keys, and as long as you are safe with it, it doesn't affect you at all. Check-out was also hassle-free, you just lock the door and put the keys into their mailbox. (This is just me being nitpicky as overall it was good :D )

It's quite far out from the centre, but it's very easy to get in on the tram. Very close to Laeken park with lots of stuff to see there. Staff were friendly although I didn't see them much. Comfy bed, good size room.
It was at times a little noisy but nothing that couldn't be solved with headphones. Had no WiFi for a day for some reason. Most days the shower was lovely and hot but one day it was cold, and I took this shower at the same time as my others. Towels were a little scratchy. Picking up keys was a little confusing - there was talk of a secure box, but in the end I had to wait outside until someone came and let me in. But mostly the communication was very good

Porno pictures on the wall in the room , with nude women around, what's it is for?? shows very bad taste , wouldn't recommend.
Check in it was a nightmare, host send instructions for self check in and suddenly out of the blue , she decided to wait for me in the premisses. After she left the premisses and didn't leave me the access code!!
on the time of my arrival I stayed outside with temperature -1C for hours OUTSIDE waiting for host to come and open the door!!
I'm host myself in different country so this kind of attitude is not just disrespectful to your guest but absolutely discusting and disgraceful.!!
Imagine you book the hotel and when you arrived the door is Locked !! And you should stay outside in a winter on Minus 1 C degree for HOURS!!

The location was in a quiet neighborhood in a nice house. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfy, I slept very well. The subway is very close (6 line). All in all it was a perfect stay, I couldn't have asked for anything more.

What I liked: it was super easy to check in/out, you just get your key from a mailbox and leave it there when checking out. Basically I felt like coming to my own home, no small talk at the reception or feeling monitored. The room was clean and nice, the bed comfy. And it is cool to sleep with Atomium in front of your window! ;-)
I like hot showers, but this one was a bit too hot even for my taste, and you can't regulate it, at least didn't work for me. And it was cool to have teabags left in the room, but OMG, I would have loved a few packets of instant coffee!!! But altogether all was fine!

The room design was great and the bed is very comfy, the value of the service matches the price!

wifi didn’t work

The room was quite comfortable, hot water was running in the shower. The room was somewhat clean.
The shared toilet was never cleaned during my 4 night stay! Also someone was continuously not flushing the toilet... There was a lot of mess in the halls of the building as it seemed it was undergoing construction. There were many cigarette butts in the building even though there were no-smoking signs everywhere. The whole area looked quite sketchy.
As for the room itself - the heater was not working so it was getting very cold especially during night (I was visiting in mid September) which was very uncomfortable. The wifi never worked.
Very disappointing, will not reserve again.

Easy check in and good communication with the host. Lovely huge double room and not far from a metro station.
2.5 / 5.0
The room was not bat. The bed was comfortable with no insects.
Bath room is very far. I had to go downstairs every night.
And the room of 2nd floor is under renovation. The stairs covered with heavy dust. Its noise was terrible.
the Important thing was the girl didn't tell anything about that when I checked in.

Location 20 min to downtown by walk, very close to tram and metro stations. Cleanliness in the toilet and room is excellent. Ladies are very friendly and fast response for any questions.

i liked location, big room, and king size bed. clean bathroom.
The room is very hot. There is no air conditioning. Also, Wi-Fi literally does not work (only on stairs and in the bathroom outside the room) also bed wasn't clean, I think in bed is soothing insects( so sorry) I have red dots on my hands and legs too.

3.0 / 5.0
Location and cleanliness of the room (the toilet could have been cleaner)
The WiFi did not reach the room.
4.5 / 5.0
Large and comfortable room. The hostess was very kind and made me check in early.
3.0 / 5.0
The room was very big and clean. It was equipped with some kitchen staff (like microwave ). The location of the property is very good - close to metro.
The heating system was not working properly and therefore it was quite cold. What is more, I couldn’t connect to the Internet in my room - I needed to sit in the hall, on the stairs. Apart from that, the owner was not speaking English (only French), so there was communication barrier.
