I spent almost two weeks at Le Fabrique and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. It felt more like a home than a hotel thanks to the kind hospitality of Franco and Maria. My room was beautiful and breakfast was something a little different every day and delicious. I often enjoyed a capuccino in the beautiful courtyard outside of my room. The location is very central and I felt safe walking around the area. A perfect place to stay while in Cuenca.

not really. the balcony was nice but the view was a run down collapsed building across the street.
breakfast was the worst. there was very little available for us. i know it was off season but please. 4 small slices of cheese and 4 small slices of ham. white bread. burnt corn tortillas. cold scrambled eggs. we left and went to eat elsewhere every day after that for 5 days. the video and pictures were NOT what you are served. shower was constantly flooding. we were told a heater would be brought up to the room but it never appeared. an IPOD charging station next to the bed? who has an IPOD any more?? balcony doors would not open, they had to come up and fix them so they would. one night we got back around 7pm and kept ringing the bell but no one buzzed us in. we buzzed for over 20 minutes and finally had to bang on the doors to get buzzed in. we booked one balcony room and one apartment with a private garden. there was no private garden. just a small patch between buildings when you exited the historical one and went into the one with apartments which is a separate building. luggage from the people next store were kept outside the door blocking the stairs. furniture and appliances in the apartment were old soiled and in poor quality. manager and cleaning lady were very nice the other two gentlemen were not. the three of us stayed 5 days and the other 5 stayed 2 days. we all had the same opinion about food quality and staff. we were so embarassed since we recommended them to stay there with us. we were supposed to have complimentary hotel transportation but were changed 10.00 for it. we took our own 2.50 cab ride back when we left.

The host is great, we arrived from an early flight and because of some cancellations he moved us right into another room so we can get some rest. The breakfast buffet was very good and unlike some other reviews we did not notice any shortages in the food that was placed out. On our first night we enjoyed dinner at the hotel the portions were more than adequate the price was reasonable and the staff was very good. As an added bonus the laundry is right downstairs.
You can smell some fumes from the traffic. But we are in a balcony suite and being in a downtown area you would have to expect that.

We were greeted by on arrival by friendly staff who oriented us to our location, noted interesting places to visit in the town and gave us a map and a business card to call the hotel if we got lost or needed any help. The entire hotel and room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. We had a nice view of the domes of the church in the historical district from our balcony. Great breakfast, lots of variety and again a friendly, smiling face to greet you each morning. Beautiful decor, so many details to make it a unique destination. A short 3 block walk to the historical square. On our last day, we had a late afternoon flight and the staff suggested a late check out for us, very much appreciated.

Henry at reception was fantastically helpful with travel tips re trains etc! Both the rooms we stayed in were nicely decorated we returned after Cajas), very comfortable, great beds and hot, modern showers. The lady at the laundry, on the corner below the hotel, was must helpful and even had our load of laundry dropped in our room. The breakfast is perfect and there are lots of fresh, cold water stations in the hotel. The location is great, straight down Calle de Borrero to the main Plaza. Safe, pretty, spotless, lovely hotel to stay !

The hotel is well located in the old town. The staff is very nice and helpful.
The room was rather dark and a bit outdated, but the bathroom is nicely renovated.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Cuenca. Great location: just a few minute walk from the main sights in the city. Big and clean room. The staff was good and helpful. We did not try the restaurant but it looked nice.
The breakfast could have been a bit more varied. If you went too late there was less food available as the buffet was not restocked throughout the morning.

Breakfast was good, with variety and choices. Location was excellent, the triple room was nice and large and comfortable. Shower was separate from toilet and very nice.
Not being able to get in from the street with our key-we had to be buzzed in every time. Fumes from street when window is open.

Location is perfect. It is within easy walking distance to the colonial centre of the city. The interior of the hotel has been restored and preserved to museum quality standards. It is stunningly beautiful!
The manager Henry, speaks excellent English and is very helpful in arranging outings and giving advice about the city
Everything was well beyond our expectations

This is a beautiful hotel. The decor is colonial and very tasteful. Friendly staff, great location. Bathroom small but perfect - top quality shower. 10 out of 10 for everything
This has nothing to do with the hotel but I want to warn other travelers about Cuenca bus station. Took the bus from Cuenca to Guayaquil. Picked the best bus company -Executivo San Luis . We were first on the bus. There was a guy on the bus spraying the seats in apparent Covid sanitization procedure. He came to us and the other passengers and sprayed our hands, took our small backpacks, sprayed them and put them in the overhead rack. We presumed he was a member of staff. But no. When I went to get something from my bag our laptops were gone. The bags had been opened and closed perfectly. We were at the front of the bus. Not many passengers but nobody noticed anything. Professionals. The bus had already left when I discovered it. When I informed the driver he completely ignored me and the ticket collector looked at me blankly. They were not interested. There was no way they didn't see the guy and knew what was happening. I contacted the bus company and they said that person was not staff. How can they let an unknown person on the bus to spray the seats and passengers hands? It doesn't add up. Very upsetting after a wonderful 3 week stay in Ecuador

The location is excellent and the breakfast was reasonable according to the price paid.
Staff was very helpful.
No hot water, which is unacceptable.
The staff didn't control the noise made by other customers at night. Too nosiy.

Truly charming hotel right in the heart of Cuenca. Inner enclosed courtyard that let in the light and evoked colonial Ecuador. Not only was it beautiful, but the hosts there were extremely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly with our stay. We could not have asked for more.
