Directly in front of the beach. Very cozy and nice. The staff was very nice too. Beds were comfortable. Rooftop pool and views were breathtaking!
The buffet in the evening is on the ground floor and the whole building smells like food and fish. There was connecting door to the neighbouring room. It was closed but still… Sound isolation was not that great either and we could hear our neighbour whistle and snore at night. Nevertheless it was still good and I would stay there again.

The hotel is located in the western part of La Gomera: with beautiful wavy black-sand beaches, strong winds and incredible sunsets. It takes about an hour to reach the hotel from the airport by car, but it’s all due to the mountain roads.
The hotel staff is nice, speaks English and very often German.
I had to leave early morning. They served me with a personal breakfast - it was so nice of them.
The rooms are clean, but the hotel is old: it’s not bad but it’s easy to notice.
The real problem of this hotel is its internet. In case you need to work during your stay in the island, you’d better try to find another accommodation with a good connection. No wi-fi connection in a room, some options of a mobile internet in public places.

It has a wonderful view of the sea at the top
The breakfast was on the top was good with great views
The open air swimming pool is on the top with great views of mountain and the sea
Very noisy appartment with doors slammed all night long, I had the mountain.side appartment and the service trollys are very noisy as the go past the back next to the balcony.
You can hear traffic noise from the balcony,.the balcony was quite small, in addition there is agricultural vehicles visiting the bannana plantation early which wakes you up.
The staff non responsive when told about noise issue, I was told no else has ever had an issue with the noise , but I spoke with other guests who also noted the noise.

excellent and friendly staff, except the grumpy gardner? No fuss hotel with tricky customers. High standards and very pleasant to deal with
being told off by the gardner

location & the roof top
although it’s 3 star it was very basic. room was average, small, poor quality linens & towels thin & small. bathroom not very clean & leaking bathtub/shower. breakfast was abundant choice wise but poor quality

Older but beautifully maintained and meticulously
cleaned property. Friendly and competent staff.
Relaxed atmosphere. Nice pool area with sufficient
beds and parasols. Great restaurants in the area.
Amazing breakfast. Beach across the street. Well
located to access hiking trails. Stunning views.
Bathroom very clean but would benefit from a few
updates. Parking not controlled and therefore busy
most of the time with non-hotel guests, especially
on weekends. But free and we found a spot in one
of the lots all but one time.

location by the beach. Roof top breakfast. Breakfast and dinner served as a buffet with very good range of food. Valle Gran Rey is a good, central place to be based on La Gomera.
dinner was served in a windowless room on the ground floor instead of on the roof. The area around the swimming was quite restricted and too narrow. Apart from the friendly receptionists, the staff were rather sullen.

Fab setting right opposite the beach.
Fab sunsets. Excellent breakfast. The rooftop pool

We enjoyed looking out over the mountains and the hotel gardens. The hotel was quiet but well located to walk around the resort and access bars and restaurants. The pool area was pleasant and the bar had a great terrace for watching the sunsets. The rooms were a reasonable size and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Jose in the restaurant.
The selection of starters for the evening meal was very limited. I would have liked more choice, although the selection of main courses and puddings was normally good.

Nice hotel and nice staff....especially Patricia....lol
Too much germans and really poorly educated

nice spacious en-suite room with balcony and view. Air-conditioning which could be switched on and off. Good service. 24 hour desk. Good location.
Automatic machine coffee offered at meals tasted OK but could have been better. Breakfasts were offered from 8 am but buses to anywhere else on the island left at 8 am. A 7.30 breakfast start would have meant having breakfast and catching the bus.

Nice staff. An extra plus for the ladies who washed and kept the place in order as well as the ladies at the reception and Sr. José and those who served in the bar and restaurant. Polite, friendly and it seemed like they enjoyed their job 😀

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is superbly cleaned
I will not give it full stars review because we have to cross a road to go to the beach. If you like to explore things as we do you will find after a half an hour walk, pass the bars, a beautiful small beach, where nudism is allowed.
La Gomera is an idilic romantic place.
Food is a 3 stars review

The air conditioning was very good. The hotel is opposite the beach, so very easy to walk out the front entrance and go for a swim in the sea. The breakfast area is very nice, if you're on the side facing the sea and eating breakfast before 09:30 hours. After that, the sun makes it very uncomfortable, if the sun blinds aren't extended.
There is nowhere to park at the hotel. There are only 10 spaces at the back of the hotel which are not reserved for guests so anyone can drive up and use them. At the front of the hotel there are people that sleep in motor homes. The check-in took too long and is ridiculously bureaucratic, especially after a long trip across the island, the last thing you want to do is stand in line for up to an hour, filling out forms which could have been completed online, in advance. Guests are given a small bottle of water when they arrive, since the tap water is undrinkable however, these bottles are not replaced. The breakfast offer is quite poor: no real orange juice, some fruit but poor quality and only water melon and sometimes mango pieces, poor quality cornflakes and coco-crispy for children but no real cereals or dried fruit for adults, a worthless toaster that requires you to put bread through at least 5 or 6 times before it starts to toast, some staff are rude and focused on collecting plates and not on improving the guest experience. There are almost no checks on who goes in for breakfast. The swimming pool is cramped and there is no supervision to stop small children splashing people reading quietly around the pool.

Really good and kind staff (réception, cleaning staff). Room tidy. Hôtel in front of the sea. Lot of choices for breakfast. Everything was perfect.
No rubbish bin in the room (only a small one in the bathroom).
