Hotel was used for a night for work and i was impressed with the service. I person was running the hotel at the time and she was very impressive and gave me a quick and easy check in, dinner and made sure i was happy with the room i had chosen. The room was very hot due to a plumbing issue so not ideal even with the windows open, however i was offered another room if i needed it.
Id stay here again as the food was very good and the hotel was nice and quiet to relax in with a drink.
I would like better curtains in the room as they were very thin so light came in early morning.

The staff was fantastic.

The breakfast was a traditional Norwegian breakfast with very good fresh bread, a variety in different add ons and salamon. What makes this guest house unique is the special atmosphere and history. As a previous World War II German High Command, you will feel you are back decades in time as you sit in the lounge and absorb its historiy. And there is no one better than the excellent staff to tell you about it. You will be amazed and dazeled. After visitig nomurous hotel, hostels, guest houses, etc around the world I've found no staff better to accomodate the guests. When it comes to the standards of the hotel, it is what it is, and you just have to accept it for that. It's and old lady in dire need of contionous maintenance.
As long as you accept it for what it is, I've got nothing bad to tell.

Very friendly staff.
Had a wonderful diner. I can recommend the fishsoup. Very delicious.
And the next morning a very good breakfast.
To bad that I only stayed for one night.

This is an historic hotel used by river fishermen. There are a lot of photos around the building showing previous guests
which include Norway's King and General Montgomery of WW2 fame. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Could not escape the midges!!. Note to self- load up on repellent spray before rather than after!!

Very friendly staff. Historic furniture in some rooms and overall museum feel. Fine breakfast.
Way overheated rooms. Restaurant was closed without notice. Jacuzzi looked rather uninviting (water from months ago?). Seemed like owner was not engaged. Icy parking, but got gravelled eventually.

Nice hotel in remote village. There is a small supermarket next door which is really handy.
Nice breakfast with cereals, juice, tea/coffee, eggs and bacon. They asked if we'd like anything else so the following day we also got a lovely local sausage cooked for us.
Excellent wi-fi!
We were the only guests this week so the kitchen wasn't open for dinner. There are no restaurants in Rundhaug so we just drove 20 minutes or so to Bardufoss.

Staff was very nice, we had a room without heating ( 2 degrees outside) and staff gave us another room.
Hotel was old, very vintage and no enough heating in the rooms even in the bathroom (2 degrees outside).
Breakfast was very poor, only the basic.

The charm of the place, where the King & Queen used to stay. Some of the furniture dates back from when it opened in 1905
Decent comfort but obviously not up to date

Beautiful historical building located by the banks of Målselva river (a true haven for fly fishermen and admireres of nature and culture experiences alike). Helpful and friendly staff.

Breakfast was decent plus free parking.
The pictures didn't match the reality - the room was tiny and bathroom outdated plus there was no working lamp in the room nor air conditioning thus it was too hot. Communication with the staff was poor and staff hard to reach.

We arrived too late for dinner and there was no food to be purchased anywhere close by. We did got some food from the staff, however the service was not great.

It was a cozy guest house. At the time of my stay, there were two other rooms booked and I met them in the lounge. It was very interesting to get to know them. The staff was always very helpful with everything I needed.
