About this house rental
Originally built for a sea captain in 1853 on a once gated, exclusive terrace over looking the iconic St Ives bay. . Its just a few minutes walk to all of the beautiful beaches that St Ives has to offer. Wake up to glorious sunrises over the bay and watch the world go by from the large oriel master bedroom window, where you have a panoramic view of St Ives, all the way from The Island, right round to Porthminster beach and beyond to Godrevy Lighthouse and Hayle Towans.
The stylish and spacious accommodation is thoughtfully and artistically furnished which compliments the original victorian ornate plasterwork and restored period features. There is plenty of room for everyone to spend time together or apart, with a large family living and dining area looking over the bay and a comfortable and relaxing lounge set towards the back of the house with a smart TV and Wifi.
There is a downstairs shower room and utility room which has a washing machine, tumble dryer and plenty of room for all your beach paraphernalia.
The large kitchen is fully equipped for those who love to cook and bake. There is a separate wine cooler, DAB streaming radio. TV in the lounge area.
The four boutique bedrooms offer flexible bed combinations to sleep 8. The large master bedroom has a zip & link superking bed, the second bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. The courtyard can be accessed by both the kitchen and the garden; a handy space to sit and have a coffee or rinse your beach shoes at the tap. The terraced garden is reached via steps, which are gated top and bottom. There is a patio with table and chairs for 8 and then up two steps to a level lawn area. Washing line and tap.
Further steps lead up to the garage which has space for one car and plenty of extra room for surfboards etc. The garage is accessed off the back lane that runs parallel to The Terrace. Garage door opening measures 1.98m high and 2.35m wide. Second private parking space is close by

Wonderful house in a great location with 2 parking spaces. - perfect for our family group of 3 adult couples. Stylish and very good sized rooms, great kitchen, close to everything. so you won't need to use a car during your stay; welcome basket of goodies on arrival, the added bonus of a hot tub and great communication with the owners (Jason and Elsbeth) - will definitely be back !

We were lucky to catch this property after a later cancellation - wow, what a location! Views over St Ives town from the bedroom and dining room, with a 2 minute walk to Porthminster beach.
My wife commented that this was the cleanest place we’d ever stayed on holiday and an extra level of care and cleanliness had clearly been taken on account of the current Covid situation.
Communication with Elspeth pre- and post- stay was excellent and we would heartily recommend this property to anyone looking for a prestige property within walking distance (literally 2 minutes) of St Ives centre, but with a tonne of extras - a hot tub, a beautiful view and parking for two cars!

Everything about the house, location, facilities and those views (wow!) was outstanding. St Ives is beautiful and so many options if you want a 'beach' day.
Elspeth was very helpful and informative.
We loved it so much we booked for next year while we were still there! Testiment indeed.
Thank you Elspeth. We're all looking forward to next year already.

Great location and the house had everything we wanted. Only thing I would say is that a nespresso machine would be a good addition.

The property is amazing, so well equipped and spacious, couldn't fault it. The location is perfect just across the road from the beach and easy access to the harbour and surrounding areas.

The house is fabulous with wonderful views from the windows at the front of the house and a hot tub in a secluded area at the back of the house. It also comes with all the equipment that we needed and more, really comfortable beds, lovely fluffy towels and nice toiletries too. We can’t recommend this house highly enough and it comes with the added bonus of being a short walk into the centre of St Ives. Can’t think of anything more that we could have wanted or needed.
