Watch the sunrise and the sunset from the tip of Isla Mujeres in this beautiful new home with all the amenities. Casa Vista Alegre del Sur is located just a few hundred yards from the Mayan Ruins located on the south point of the island.
Vista Alegre del Sur, completed in 2010, means 'Happy View'. You can easily see why. The house is located at the south tip of the little island of Isla Mujeres Mexico and has 360 degree views allowing for both sunrise and sunset views. You can spend a whole day just watching the white clouds roll across the turquoise waters while looking at the Cancun hotel district off in the distance. Enjoy the red orange sunset and then the view turns into a sparkling diamond bracelet of lights.
Relax: The house is detailed with the finest quality materials. The floors and showers throughout the house are travertine. The counter tops are striped travertine and the wood doors, cabinets and railings are mahogany. The pool decking is conchuela, a stone made from conch shells that is always cool to the feet.
The pool, approx 20' x 40', gives a vanishing edge view of the beautiful water that you literally can't take your eyes off of. You may never want to leave the house. A short walk to the very tip of the south point will take you to the Mayan Ruins, Templo Ixchel, where you can walk through the sculpture gardens and visit the lighthouse before having lunch or dinner at the at the restaurant on the point. You can also walk to Garrafon Park where you can spend the day hanging at the beach, the pools, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, or riding the zip line.

From beginning to end, this vacation to Isla was perfection! The house was AMAZING!!! Everyone in our party had their own personal room and space. Group of 7. There was plenty of room to spread out that we didn’t feel cramped at all. Amenities were wonderful, house is beautiful, views to die for. Daily maid service to boot! Porch is fantastic for hanging out out of the direct sun. Views from pool with the sitting ledge one can sit for hours and watch the waves go by.
This next has nothing to do with the house but rather that all the houses are on septic on the island so you’re not allowed to flush any toilet paper so the daily maid service comes in handy. We had massage therapists come and give us massages on the smaller covered porch which was delightful listening to the ocean while getting a relaxing massage. Location is within 20 mins by golf cart to anywhere on the island. HANK was super super nice! Very attentive to all our needs. The best was Hank’s buddy Toto! Bright a smile to our faces every day!!!!

Everything was wonderful and the house is as beautiful as the pictures! Hank was amazing and helped us with every time we asked with a smile, even when we accidentally locked our keys in one of the rooms. His dog Toto brightened our day every time we saw him. What a good dog! Amazing trip for sure. The heated pool was a treat at night and in the morning.

Plenty of room to spread out! The views were breathtaking. We loved the pool & house! We did rent golf carts to explore the island which I recommend because it’s not as small as you’d think. Highly recommend chef Sofia as her meals were excellent. Great time overall!

From the moment you get there your taken care of. The house is inviting, the pool is calling your name. Booking and working with Hank was easy. Hank does an incredible job and is available 24/7 even though he says he sleeps. Getting Sophia to come for you is a must, she and her family are phenomenal. We are not new to the island and know the island so being all the way to the south was no biggie and what we wanted. Wife found an awesome coffee van just mins away. If I had 1 area of improvement it would be for the rooms to be described as x plainer a little better so there are zero surprises when you get there. 9.9/10 loved the place and loved Hank and loved Sophia and loved the rest of the staff.

Having come to Isla Mujeras for 40 years, We had the family here for the Fourth of July week and had a great time. Highlight of trip was dinner at the home bu Chef Sofia with a mariachi band to boot!
We had 3 golf carts pre arranged by Hank as he met us at ferry with carts in tow and accompanied us to the house.
Teresita and her staff did a wonderful job keeping the place clean each day!

We travel to Isla Mujeres a few times per year. We have stayed in a few of the premier properties on the island and this experience ranks as number one. The house is as amazing as the pictures, but the service was second to none. Hank, the concierge made this stay more enjoyable than any other stay we’ve had.
Hank made sure our arrival to the Island was seemly, arranged a personal chef to cook for the family (shout out to Javi), coordinated a group of massage therapists to come out and give the entire family a massage, showed up at the house when the entire island lost power. Hank said to ask him anything, so I asked him if he could get me a guitar for the week.. guess what .. the next morning I had a guitar.
The best part was that our flight from Minneapolis was delayed 12 hours, so we didn’t get into Cancun until 11pm. He organized a private boat to pick us up when everyone else was closed for the night. Additionally, he had taxis waiting at the Isla Mujeres dock to take us to the house at midnight.
The house was great, but Hank took it from a 5 star house to a 10 start experience.

This beautiful house lives up to its name! Incredible views and the heated pool is great! The house manager, Hank takes care of your every need, you just have to ask. Teresita and her team take very good care of the house while you are there with daily housekeeping.
This house really only accommodates 4 couples in our opinion. There is a tiny room in the front that is like a lock off without indoor access to the house with a very small double bed that is pushed against the wall that isn’t suitable for two large adults. The bedroom descriptions online also state that there is a bedroom with king bed and a queen bed. This is misleading. There is a king bed and apparently there is a queen trundle bed underneath it. Not sure where that would even fit if you were to pull it out? Also not good for adults to share this room. Overall, absolutely perfect house, location and service. Only advise is to only book for 4 couples, not 5 or one couple is going to be very disappointed.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this home and the overall experience. The house is beautiful and what you see in the photos is what you get. Lovely great room/kitchen and outdoor dining, lounging, and pool. The pool warmth was excellent. All bedrooms have privacy and bathrooms.
Wonderful provided amenities including hair dryers in each bathroom, body wash/soap, water cooler in the kitchen for refilling water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray (thought we barely needed that), and even a selection of sun hats.
The concierge, Hank, was outstanding. Thorough communication before and throughout the trip. Readily available to answer questions or help out if needed. I highly recommend utilizing the additional services you can book with and through Hank. We booked pre-stocked groceries, golf carts, in-home massages, a private catamaran afternoon on the Moana, a tequila tasting that was so much more of an experience than we anticipated (in a great way), and delicious in-home dinner with Chef Sofia. Highly recommend the Tikin Xic dish she offers. Everyone in our group agreed that every add-on we booked was excellent and well worth every dollar we spent especially the time we saved by not having to research and book all of this on our own.
I really have nothing bad to say about this home or any part of our booking experience and stay. You can't go wrong with this one.

Hank is there for you start to finish(anything you need) speaks perfect english and wonderful since of humor. House is cleaned every day(Monday-Saturday).We had seven people, everyone has there own room and bathrooms ( some personal space). The house has multiple places to hang out. If you want sun or shade, under the palapa with a swing or by the pool looking at that beautiful water or lying in the swing bed by the pool. We all enjoyed all the amenities. Definitely coming back. Next time we will plan better, we’ve heard the chef Sophia is amazing. Best vacation spot. If your a home body, the house has everything, if you like excursions and going out there is no shortage of restaurants and things to do. This is our fourth time to Isle Merjures. The locals are helpful and friendly. Casa Vista Alegre del sur is your vacation dream.

This was our 2nd annual Christmas trip to Isla. First time staying at this beautiful villa, but it was perfect in all ways for our 2 families of 5 each. The owners are super easy to work with on booking and Hank is simply the best. We stay at villas throughout the Caribbean and Hank was the best villa manager and concierge we have ever had. The villa has everything you need to have an amazing vacation including incredible views from the heated pool. We would absolutely stay here again both for the great villa and to partner with Hank again.

What you see is what you get - pictures do not lie! Beautiful property with great open spaces, comfortable rooms, and views. Large areas to gather inside and out (we were 7 adults) and all well maintained and cleaned daily. We would definitely stay here again with a group. Hank (and his assistant Toto) was a terrific ‘concierge’ and made sure every request and need was met promptly. Having Chef Sofia cook for us @ the house was one of the highlights of the trip. Paradise!
This was my first time in the beautiful Isla Mujeres, and our stay was absolutely incredible. We were lucky enough to go down with some dear friends who have stayed at Casa vista alegre del sur, so they knew all the beautiful places to go and and how to experience the island. We loved Hank!! He was so easy to work with and literally went above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every way. Sofia cooked an amazing meal, and her cheesecake was the best we'd ever tasted. We cant wait to come back again and enjoy the breathtaking view!

Incredible Trip!
I recently spent my 40th birthday in Isla Mujeres with 8 of my friends. This house was one of the top highlights of the entire trip. We were blown away by how beautiful the home is, and with the service provided by Hank, who took care of anything we needed. Hank made our trip extra special and was so awesome to work with.
I can’t recommend this house enough - each room was unique, the pool is amazing, and it was spotlessly cleaned every single day. We also had Chef Sofia make us dinner one night which was a total treat.

Best house on the island!
We searched high and low for a property that could accommodate our group's needs, and landed here. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Hank (property manager, and concierge extraordinaire) was with us every step of the way. We hired Sofia for a special birthday dinner, and she knocked it out of the park! Everything was absolutely delicious. The house was gorgeous, and we loved that everyone had their own private suites to retreat to. We really felt at home, and loved exploring the island.
There are a lot beautiful houses and places to stay, but Hank and his team really made this place special. We felt so welcomed, and he was just a text away if we ever had questions or needed help. We cannot wait to return!!

Beautiful Home
A gorgeous home with lots of room for a large party. My husband and I stayed here with four other couples and it was so nice that we all had private rooms to retreat to for quiet time or naps. There is plenty of live spaces to lounge and hang out! We felt like we never had to leave, but it was an easy drive to either side of the island when we did venture out.

This is my 3rd time staying at Casa Vista Alegre del Sur. The first two times were with girlfriends. This time was to show our husbands why we kept coming back to this fabulous home. First of all, of course, is the view. It's obviously breathtaking. You can't beat it. Second is the layout of the rooms. Even though you are in the same home, the rooms are spread out to give you privacy if necessary, and of course they are all beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and ensuite bath. Third is the pool - heated!! And perfect for lounging or just appreciating the view. Fourth is the beautiful decore and well-designed kitchen, which has been updated since my last visit with new hand-made cabinet doors and an incredible round wood tabletop hand-made by our incredible concierge Hank, who is so very talented with wood, but also such a perfect host for us. If you want a vacation that allows you to relax and let someone else handle the details - Hank is the answer. From arrival to restaurant recommendations, golf cart rental, grocery shopping, and even scheduling covid tests in-house, Hank provides it all, as if he is helping friends, rather than guests he just met. But we could not have experienced all the fabulousness on this trip without Teresita. She kept the house spotless, from top to bottom, every day. She is a gem. Our husbands were quite impressed with the whole experience and I’m certain we’ll be back!

Absolutely Incredible Home & World Class Treatment
To start, this property is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures don’t even fully show just how breathtaking the views are. Everything in the home far exceeded our expectations. Yet that’s not even the best part.
The best part is the Concierge, Hank, a wonderful man whom we will all be ever so grateful to have met.
Our group was made up of 3 families. Prior to our arrival Hank set up all of our transportation and went grocery shopping for us which was so helpful. He met us at the Ferry upon arrival, helped us with our luggage, and went over all of the details about the house. He even brought us some of his wife’s homemade salsa, guacamole, and veggie dip, all of which was absolutely delicious.
While our trip started out being a dream vacation, unfortunately one of the men in our group suffered a heart attack on our 4th day there. Hank went above and beyond arranging taxi’s for his wife who had to travel back and forth from the island to the hospital in Cancun, arranging to have an attorney draft up a letter to authorize the remaining adults to bring their children back to the US with us while she is still staying in Mexico with her husband, helping her find a safe hotel in Cancun, suggesting places she can go while she’s not with her husband (they only allow 3 visits per day), giving her all the hugs she needed, and continuing to check in on us all after we departed and while she’s still there. This man is one of a kind and we are so grateful for him. I cannot imagine how much harder this would have been if we hadn’t had his help.
If you are looking for a place to stay on the island, this is the one. As an vacation rental host myself back in the states, I will tell you that you truly will not find a better place or be treated with more genuine care and kindness than you will be here/with Hank.

Complications
Hank the concierge was attentive and helpful which was great.
The house and the area are very nice. We regularly stay on the island and love the atmosphere.
However, there were many complications this time.
Even though we arrived later than scheduled the house was not ready so we had to wait longer before arriving.
Day 2 the air conditioning ran out of Freon.
Day 3 No running water which was solved by using the pool water.
Day 7 Again no running water so no showers, no toilets. Again using the pool water was the solution.
Privacy is an issue, as the staff enter the house unannounced, even after explicitly being asked to give privacy.
It may have been just a run of bad luck, but multiple incidents made for a less enjoyable week.

This is not your typical rental house. Let me repeat, this is not your typical "rental" type property.

Hank is his name and you will look back after your trip and realize it all wouldn't have been possible without Hank.
Details:
Hank managed three families coming in from the US across the ferry at different times including one being 4 hours late. From golf carts, to groceries( repeated throughout the trip) he was literally our personal assistant. No question unanswered. No ask too big.
At departure, we had similar challenges, 10 covid tests. He arranged for someone to come to the house to administer the covid tests then delivered the results hard copy. My family's flight required a boat at 5am to ensure we arrived at the airport in time. Hank and his assistant got us to the boat and road it across to Cancun with us.
Hanks cleaning crew kept the house in order. Everyday we would dirty every cup, towel, whatever. The house was always spotless.
Location: South Island - at night when the tourists are back in Cancun or elsewhere, its quiet. The view is second to none. The house is about 20 min via golf cart to.north beach.
Suggestions:
Rent a golf cart for your stay - Hank will set this up
Get pesos - there are ATM's around the island. Get money at the grocery store
Communicate with Hank early prior to arrival. He will make any of your worries about arrival or stay go away.
