Easy to find, convenient location, well organised for late travellers.
I couldn't sleep because of the smell of cigarettes from the pillows, the mattresses, the carpet. the room was non-smoking. The room price of 75 Euros (reduced!!) is much too high for an uncleaned and unrenovated room. The advertising is for 3 stars and does not correspond to reality.

It was easy to find the place and the property had certain character. It was clean, comfortable and there were everithing one needs for a one night or more stay.

The room is quite comfortable. The building is pleasant. Be aware that there is no elevator and steep stairs to upper floors. Can't comment on the breakfast since we didn't buy it. The price (60€ in mid-February) would have been reasonable (but not a bargain) except for the problems. The housekeeper was friendly and polite.
1) Despite arriving as notified, the building was locked and it took a phone call for someone to appear to check us in (some foreign travelers can't make voice calls). Although the manager checked us in, my impression was that he was annoyed at being bothered. His heavy Austrian dialect was difficult for my German capabilities to understand and he made no attempt to speak High German.
2) The kitchen was minimally outfitted and barely adequate for cooking a meal.
3) Internet in our 2nd floor (3rd floor in US terms) room"was mostly non-functional and when I called the manager to let him know he came back and said a) it worked fine on ground floor and b) any problems were due to the ISP, which was not the case. His attitude was, "Oh well, too bad." After he left, I determined the wifi extenders were poorly placed. I moved one into our room and this mostly solved the problem, although still with periodic outages and reconnections required.

Nothing.
I made a mistake at the booking with the dates (I booked a date for the day before our arrival). It was non-refundable, but I immediately notified the host, who told me, that the booking.com is the responsible for refund, so let then know about the issue. He DID NOT speak and understand English fluently as it is written on the description, but he assured me that he would help if he could. I contacted the booking.com, there was no problem from their side, but the host became passive and did not reply them and he was hostile with me in the phone. If he said that he would not refund because of the policy, I would understand, but to lie about who was the responsible, then hide from giving feedback is not the right way to handle the issue. It seems like he really needed that 65 EUR. I opened a case at the European Consumer Centre.

Leaving in the morning
The host was quite rude when we arrived . He seemed angry . Not what you need after a long drive.beds were very low. Floors creaked . Toilet door handle was off. Tiny bathroom and windows didn’t open. We opted for breakfast but wish we hadn’t . When we went into the dining area there was a table laid with cheese and meats and noticed a few flies on it. We didn’t sit at that table . We looked at what was offered and it was a poor selection. A lady asked if we wanted scrambled egg which we agreed to. When the eggs came the lady picked the plate of cheeses and meats up and said they were ours . We didn’t touch them obviously. The eggs were not great . We had a coffee and that was it. We think it was excessive prices for the poor quality’s and size. Later that day both of us had bad tummy’s .
