About this cabin rental
Please Read!
This cabin sits on 10 private acres atop a mountain, with incredible views from both the upper and lower porches. We built our home on the highest portion of our property to achieve the best mountain views. No expenses were spared when designing and building this unique one of a kind cabin. Some of the many features include; hand made & peeled log and iron railings, tree posts, extra large porches for enjoying the views and stars at night.
Some other features of this home include granite and stainless kitchen, 2 custom real wood burning fireplaces. Master features a King pillow top bed with a mounted 65 in smart flat screen TV for your comfort and fireplace. Master Bath has a large black corner tub, Huge slate walk in shower w/rain head. The 2nd bedroom features a queen bed, sitting area, vaulted ceilings and has a private balcony for viewing wildlife from above. The 3rd bedroom also has very high vaulted ceilings and 2 double beds. 4th bedroom features a king pillow top log with custom wall murals of the outdoors. The loft serves as a 5th BR. & offers an additional full size bed and a queen bed, 6th bedroom with bunk beds, computer desk for those of us that may have to work while enjoying their vacation.
Downstairs is a large game room with ping pong, pool table, mini kitchen, flat screen tv and fireplace.
Main floor offers a large living area with two sofas, fireplace and 65 in. smart tv to enjoy Netflix or a DVD player with over 50 moves to choose from.
Outdoors we have a covered hot tub to enjoy the mountain views, charcoal grilling area, plenty of settings to sit and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views and a fire pit area for late night fire's.
I rented a helicopter and took a few aerial photos of the cabin so you can get a feel how it sits with its surroundings. Taken 8/10/11 (We recently added a large carport that hold 3 to 4 cars for covered parking)
There is room for two cars to park toward the top of the driveway next to cabin and 2 to 3 under the carport. (5 car max. is allowed) No street parking is allowed in our area.
The road leading to the cabin is paved as well as the driveways leading to the home.
Due to the incline of our driveway and the steep slope we ask all larger vehicles park at the end of the second driveway on a flatter portion of our property.
We are in a great location. Our home backs up to the Chattahoochee Forest and we are just 4 miles to Helen GA. Enjoy walkingtubing in Helen down the Chattahoochee river and walking trails and the Anna Ruby Falls at Unicio State Park just a 10 min. drive. Dukes Creek Falls is also just a 5 min. drive. We are also close to over 20 local wineries and tasting rooms.
Thank you for considering our mountain home " A Point of View" and we will do everything in our power to make it an awesome experience for your family and friends to enjoy.

The property received glowing reviews for its spaciousness, beautiful views, convenient location near attractions, well-stocked amenities, and attentive hosts. Highly recommended for large groups and families.

Enjoyed our stay. There were seventeen of us but we didn’t feel cramped- plenty of room for everyone. The deck was a very nice place to drink your morning coffee. The driveway was big enough for all 5 cars. Definitely would recommend this house.

What a beautiful time we had at A Point Of View. Easy access up to the house (last turn was a bit steep but we all had four wheel drive or all wheel. Can be tricky if drive is wet). Well cared for grounds. Just a gorgeous first impression. Checking in was easy peasy.Communication with Sandy was wonderful. She responded quickly to any questions. Me being somewhat OCD I took with us EVERYTHING I thought I would need for our stay. However, only the food was used. The home is well stocked. From toilet paper to silverware. A/C cooled beautifully on all the floors. The hot tub was a wonderful addition and easy to operate. We brought our lil fur boy and we were very pleased with having a fenced yard . We still kept him leached while outside though. The fire pit was a great touch and perfect environment to hangout with our daughter and son and their family. We were there to celebrate my husbands 80th bday and it was the perfect setting. The views are gorgeous and absolutely the perfect place to wake up to and sit out on the deck with a cup of coffee.
Thank you Sandy for sharing your home. We highly recommend this home if you’re looking for something extra special.

Cleanliness was far below our expectations. Countertops, couches, and floors were dirty and sticky upon arrival, there was residue of what looked like a spilled drink on the inside of the front door and there was so much dust/dirt/hair collected in every nook and cranny. None of the blankets or comforters are washed between renters (which was confirmed when we were asked upon departure to strip beds but not “quilts, comforters or pillow shams”- an indication that they are never or rarely washed.) The banisters in the loft and on the outer deck are very loose, I would be careful not to lean on any of them. A few of the chairs around the fireplace were broken and the pool table was in rough shape- there were holes in the felt so you couldn’t really play a good game on it. I could go on but will refrain. The gist is we made the best of the situation and had a good time, the views were beautiful and the neighborhood was nice. This could have been a really nice place to stay if some more care was put into the maintenance and cleanliness of the home.

This cabin was far and above expectations. The view alone was breathtaking and the house had more amenities then any house I have rented before. I would highly recommend this location to anyone staying in the Helen Ga area.

Spent the week with friends and absolutely loved the place. Loads of space for everyone and all the amenities you could ask for. View from the two large decks were incredible. Located just off the main road, it was quiet and only a short drive to either Helen or Cleveland for shopping/groceries etc. Driveway is extremely steep and was a bit slippery when wet. Otherwise, this ticked all the boxes. Would not hesitate to rent again.

We really enjoyed the stay. Loved the location and that it was secluded but also close to the Main Street. The views were wonderful as well. It was 10 min from Helen which was nice to be so close but also feel like you’re in the mountains. Only downside was the overall cleanliness of everything. Wish it was a little cleaner and couches and blankets were refreshed and newer. But other than that we enjoyed it.

We have a large family. This house was perfect for so many of us plus our dog! Time on the deck in the morning, noon and night was wonderful. We spent 9 days here and did not want to leave.
As the "matriarch" of the family, I VERY MUCH APPRECIATED the simple bonus of each bed already being made with linens upon arrival. (Typically, after a long drive to a vacation destination, beds must be made before retiring...so thank you for this bonus for the mom!)
The house is in such a convenient location. We visited so many hiking trails and small towns close by to us. Dalonaga is must to visit...maybe twice... to hit all of the wineries along the way.
Checking in and out was super easy. The first time up the driveway/parking area was tricky at first, but by the last day we were pros and were able to get four cars in the parking area easily.
Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Our family's stay at A Point of View cabin was restful, fun, and amazing. The place is beautifully decorated and was immaculately clean. The accommodations were very comfortable and the owners, Steve and Sandy, were communicative and hospitable. I would stay again anytime! We greatly enjoyed the wrap around deck with the mountain view, the fire pit, hot tub, pool table and table tennis! Most of all, we loved the natural setting. Thanks for having us!

A stay of 9 adults ages 32-80. Awesome view and convenient location to Helen, Cleveland, and Dahlonega. Highly recommend.

Our stay was wonderful. The home is beautiful, well equipped and as advertised. The location is private with a fenced yard and majestic views!

This is a beautiful property. It is in a great location. It’s easy access either Cleveland or Helen. The cabin is spacious, and well stocked. So many times when you book a cabin, you have to bring everything with you. They supplied the day to day necessities, like soap, toilet paper, trash bags… Things that you really don’t want to have to pack. We have a large family, and it was nice to have two separate large living areas. The lower level has its own little kitchenette area with an extra refrigerator, sink, and coffee pot. That was nice to have. Everyone seem to think their beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils…. It is equipped with a nice sized laundry room, which was a plus. It has a fenced in yard, with a fire pit and plenty of chairs. The view of the mountains was absolutely beautiful.

Steve and Sandy are wonderful and responsive hosts. This was the second trip for our friend group and it was as wonderful as the first. Plenty of room, things to do and of course, the hot tub! The town of Helen is nearby so there is plenty to do, but we just preferred the solitude and beauty of the house and location!

The property is beautiful. The location between Helen, Cleveland and Dalonega is perfect. There are hiking trails and waterfalls nearby to visit.
There is plenty of room and the view is awesome.

We are repeat renters, we LOVE this luxury cabin, the location is central to everything, and we will most definitely rent from Sandy and Steve again, they are great hosts.
The cabin is very well appointed, everything has been thought of with renters in mind. The floor plan is great for large families or multiple couples, with a downstairs room for the kids. The fact that we can take our fur baby and that the large property has a fully fenced yard is very important to us.
We also like being close to the wineries, the wide variety of restaurants, and the scenic roadways, as well as being so centrally locared to small towns with lots to see and do, including Helen, Dahlonega, Blairsville, Young Harris and more.
Don't pass up on an opportunity to experience this cabin, you won't regret it.
Thanks again Sandy!

We had plenty of room drive way is a lil steep but we loved it

My friends and I stayed at this cabin for two of our 40th birthdays in January. The cabin was large enough for 10 women to stay and sleep comfortably with plenty of space to mingle as well as space to spread out. The house also has numerous amenities to enjoy: a hot tub, fire pit, pool table, and ping pong table.I didn’t give it 4 stars due to a few small issues that could easily be fixed:
1. There was not enough toilet paper for us and we were only there two nights. There was also only a half a roll of paper towels.
2. The water on the fridge did not work and the ice maker ran out of ice pretty quickly. There was a bag of ice in the freezer that was left for us either by the owner or previous renter.
3 At least 2 of the headboards were extremely loose and not attached, so every time we would turn over in bed they would slam against the wall.
4. The fan is the queen upstairs room was not balanced, so it made a horrible noise when on and could not be used. The house got very warm at times and the fan would have been nice.
5. Although the house was mostly very clean, there were dirty dishes in the cabinets. We found that the dishwasher did a poor job of washing, so this was likely the culprit. There was also dog hair found on the master pillows and some of the comforters had a musty smell like they haven’t been washed in a while.
Despite these issues, the house was in a good location to visit multiple wineries and large enough for our girl’s trip. WOULD RECOMMEND.

We greatly enjoyed the house which was better than advertised. It is a beautiful, well taken care of home and is spacious and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen.

Awesome panoramic view of the mountains. Very cozy. Close to all the attractions. Cabin has all the elements to entertain in the evenings. Overall 5 star rating.

A group of us went to celebrate our 25th anniversary and several birthdays. The property is laid out perfectly for large groups with lots of space. This home has everything you need to enjoy a fantastic getaway and it's very close to downtown Helen. Just be prepared for the driveway, it's fairly steep

Great house, as advertised, lots of amenities. Everything was clean and in good working order. The host was easy to communicate with when I had a question. I would recommend this house for sure.

A wonderful space to spend some quality time with the entire family! Loved how secluded it felt while still being super close to Helen.

Was a good fit for large family of 16 with 8 being children ages 6-15. The hot tub was wonderful, and grown ups and kids enjoyed the ping pong table and pool table. We prepared most of our meals at the house and there was adequate kitchenware and a nice charcoal grill. The adults loved waking up and drinking coffee on the porch with beautiful views and nice glider chair. Did see a bear in the distance but not a problem as we followed the trash rules. Good communication with owners.

Beautiful location with just a short drive into Helen

We brought all of pur children and their families (18 of us in total) for a mountain get away. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs! There was plenty of space, both indoors and out, for us to gather while not feeling like we were on top of each other. The house itself was beautiful, and the views from the decks were stunning! The proximity to Helen and state parks was perfect. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to host a large group!

This cabin was perfect for our family group of 10: many spaces to hang out and places to have a little working remote time too! We loved the secluded setting and the many outdoor spaces. There was plenty of silverware, dishes and kitchen items--that can be a problem when you have a large group. We will stay there again if at all possible.

The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. It was in close proximity to many activities but secluded enough for privacy. My family enjoyed the nature walks, Anna Ruby Falls, wineries, especially, Yonah Mt. They thought Helen was too touristy for them. They enjoyed cooking out on the grill and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit with the little ones, playing games, and the gorgeous views from the decks. The only complaint was that the pool cues didn't have tips on them.

This is a beautiful site! It was just what we wanted since we were 6 couples getting back together to hang out after not being together for 20 years. Everyone had their own space but also spaces to get together. The game room, the hottub, the firepit, the wrap around porch.... Wow! Plus there was so much to do in the area as well! We did run into a problem with the internet access but a quick email to the owners got us online! If there was any downside to the rental, it seems that the cleaning company that is used did now pay close attention to detail. The carpets were dirty and there was sludge around the seal of the washing machine. Fortunately we had brought some cleaning aupplies and a vaccum so with a little bit of elbow grease, we were good to go! I really like the owners since they were responsive to emails.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Great place for a large family to gather!

This spacious property was a perfect fit for our group of 14 visiting the Helen area. The cabin was clean, full of activities, and large enough for our big group friends to all have comfy beds. The location is ~10minutes from downtown Helen, but is close to grocery stores in Cleveland. We had a great time and would recommend to any group wanting to experience N. Georgia!

Enjoyed the home and location. Between Helen and Cleveland.
To start, new garage or something being built, Was informed the day prior to arrival, no construction durning stay but not the ideal view. Although someone did knock on the door asking about measurements.
Found dirty underwear and shorts left in a drawer in master bedroom. Under couch cushions both in living room and game room was full of food from snacks.
Prior to leaving we followed all rules, even vacuumed. Received notice we were being billed $1500 for new night stand that had a burn mark. I immediately replied that it was already there under a candy dish. Was basically told I’m lying that the housekeeper noticed it. Again I said we didn’t do it, explained what we found in the drawers and that maybe they should look at a new housekeeper. Still I was told it’s my fault. I asked for before pictures but of course there isn’t any. Home owners said not to worry I purchased the insurance. I called VRBO and insurance company and told them it’s a false claim.
Both companies are looking into it and apologized. Was told the damage didn’t fit the price they are trying for which they are also looking at further. Left me wondering, has this happened here before?
I will not book there and recommend not booking here due to being accused of something we did not do. Be aware you could be accused of something you did not do.

Everything we might want or need, for a fun and relaxing weekend: spacious, well a-pointed, great kitchen equipment, spacious and clean with marvelous decks and views. Best: a large fenced in area to keep pets and little kids from roaming.

Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the stay. A beautiful place with amazing views. Lots of places nearby to venture out to without having to travel too far. The cabin was spacious and clean for the most part. My only complaint was there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the master bedroom and the oven could use a good cleaning. 10/10 would come again and so would our other guests!!

Great trip into the mountains! Cabin was as advertised. Clean and spacious. Host was easy to work with and communicated well.
Pay attention to your coolers if leaving them outside. My Igloo cooler had an overnight disagreement with a bear and it now has teeth marks to serve as a reminder to keep things buttoned up! LOL
Cheers!

Views were awesome. Great set up for a group. Truly enjoyed our stay!

Big house as advertised. Tons of outdoor porch space. Loved the fire pit and indoor wood burning fireplace.
A good time was had by all 9 adults!

Our group of 8 adults had a great time in the cabin! We loved the space and hot tub! Great location, close to Helen!
4.0
Beautiful cabin with beautiful views. Spacious with room for the entire family and/or friends.
First driveway entrance isn’t steep. Second is pretty steep and windy so stick with using the first.
Wonderful fenced in backyard for keeping the dogs safe. Great fire pit area for hanging out. Great deck areas with plenty of seating to hangout or just watch the sunrise.
Coffee pots galore, and a Keurig. No coffee provided so make sure to bring your own. Minimal spices and no condiments, plan accordingly.
When you have an issue, message the owners. They do reply quickly.
Our checkin was delayed due to cleaning issues, though not for long. The hot tub had heating issues and smelled. But owners said they would have cleaned it during our stay had we messaged them. Those were the only issues we had.
Overall this is a wonderful place to stay. A bit pricey but you can’t put a price on the peace and quiet this place provides.

We visited during Christmas time and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the home was beautifully decorated for the season! It was perfect for a few days’ retreat.
Our family of ten all slept comfortably (with three twin beds to spare!) The bathrooms were all quite nice and the shower in the master bathroom was especially great. The kids loved the den and game area on the lowest level. We all spent time together in the spacious first floor enjoying the view, especially just after sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of seating to eat together as well.
Overall I thought the home had the feel of a mountain cabin, but also had all the amenities and features one could want. I’d like to visit again in warmer weather when we could take advantage of the outdoor dining tables and fire pit areas.
It was an easy drive to both Helen and Cleveland. The driveway is steep but our large 12-passenger van made it up to the entry (and back down!) without any difficulty.
4.0
A Lot of it was great, just a few things I would like to mention, the main bedroom sheets were very scratchy and the the jets in the main bedroom's bathroom did not work, upstairs bedroom's have no TV'S, downstairs bedroom's bedspread had a lot of animal hair, the view is beautiful, the driveway is very steep, if you park before going straight up the driveway then you have to walk up a very steep driveway with all the things you bring
