Location good, room clean, farmhouse nicely restored.

Lovely welcome and kind enough to gove us some beers 'on the house'. Attractive bright room. Super area to sit outside, with festoons of flowers and fields beyond with horses grazing. Classic continental breakfast.
Plenty of biting insects in the garden, but that is what bug spray was made for.!

This place is on the edge of the Camargue so we were in an old French farmhouse with stone floors and a nice garden with chickens and cats, looking out at horses in the paddock. Very quiet and peaceful. Found it ok with google maps. Secure gate. Good internet.
We thought that there would be dinner and breakfast available but it seemed that you had to book in advance so we ended up eating in Arles. It would have been good if this was clearer when we booked. The owner didn't seem to be there very much.

room clean, large and quiet
After seeing such high rating of this property, the expectations were high .. but now i struggle to understand where is that rating coming from… Before check in i sent messages and never got a reply. Then when we got there the host did a very bad check in, not clear at all and like he was doing us a favor… the room is ok, large and quiet surroundings etc but we wanted a glass of water but no glasses in the room and the guy was gone, probably to his home I don’t know..; missing light bulbs; breakfast is beyond expensive! 12€ per person is a laugh.. for what the description of what its included is not reasonable at all. Additionally you have to pay for everything in cash…
Last but not least when we came down in the morning to sit a bit outside (way before check out time) the guy and lady where standing like against the counter staring at me, like pressuring, asking when will we be done, pointing at the cleaning products (my french isn’t ao good and their english is none)… i just wanted to laugh. i’ll surely won’t come back..

Gerard has rebuilt this old manor and made it beautiful and comfortable
Nothing
4.0 / 5.0
On the plus side:
- Quiet location, while still close to Arles (about 10 mins by car)
- Ancient farmhouse in perfect condition with modern facilities, including aircon
- Decent size rooms (3 rooms in total, we had the medium and the small one - the small one may a bit too small for 2 people)
- Comfortable beds with firm mattresses
- Friendly host who is always open for a chat (French only, however)
On the minus side:
- Midges, tons of them. The beasts don´t just seem to sting, they eat chunks off you. Have never had such huge mosquito bites before.
- Rooms are rather minimalistic, don't expect much in terms of storage space and facilities (e.g. no kettle or coffee machine)
- Breakfast was too basic for the price (no buffet, just a fixed standard assortiment of bread, butter, marmalade, coffee for everyone)
- Only suitable for travellers with a car, no public transport nearby - Not really a negative, just bear in mind
- Cash only - Not really a negative, just bear in mind

Beautiful country house well-renovated in a peaceful area not far from the city of Arles.
Very kind host.

Great location, with parc Camargue near by, I would recommend to visit Saint- Remy (nice walk "in steps of Van Gogh"), Arles (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arles_Amphitheatre) just few minutes drive by car.
We have been recomended by our host to visit Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, beautifull beaches, with nice restaurants - serving seefood ...
Great host, served us with breakfast - fresh orange juice, coffee, milk, croissants - actually 2x full baskets- kids loved them :):)
mosquitoes ;)

An amazing building that was homely and comfortable. The space was welcoming (as well as the host) and the spacious rooms were extremely comfortable. There was air con to help combat any extreme heat and our dog was welcome!

Our bedroom is big, with a huge bathroom! The host is very friendly and helpful. A big living room downstair can be used.
Too many mosquitos.

We were traveling into the Camargue for one day. For our purposes, Le Mas d’Isnard was perfect.

The owner is perhaps the best host I have ever encountered in all my years of travelling. He is a lay back person that priorities the guest's comforts above anything else. I will not forget the night we shared the bottle of wine with another couple over a lovely dinner on the outside table.
Nothing really

The house is old and romantic, the host prepared a small early brekfast for us, since our flight was early in the morning.
Unfortunately many things were not pleasant for us - worst one - in the walls and under the roof there were anymals all night long scratching and running around. I did not see them, but you might gues which ones i mean!! HORRIBLE! We could actually sleep at all!
Next thing - the host has put a small extra bed into the room instead of a baby cot as arranged. Our son had to sleep on the matrace on the floor, we had to pick him up from the cold stones and put him back, since babys move a lot during sleep.
Another thing - the host speaks zero English, what makes personal contact impossible for turist from abroad.

We stayed only for one night in a break in our trip to Italy but it was a very pleasant experience. The place is beautiful and quiet, the room was air-conditioned and Wi-Fi equipped, impeccably clean and with a very comfortable bed. Gerard is a very kind and thoughtful person and the breakfast he served us was fabulous. We hope to return one day.

Amazing authentic rural countryside, surrounded by green fields and horses.
Superb french traditional breakfast with farm marmalade, great pastries etc.
Very nice and welcoming hosts!
It is a bit low tech (no TV, no lights in the restroom, no fridge or microwave, the WiFi isn't great), but not sure it is really negative, as it is part of the very laid back wonderful atmosphere of the countryside (campagne) surrounding Arles.

Calm and surrounded by animal life
