It was a good place to stop over for the night upon landing in Oslo and flying out of Torp AP the next day.
The room was cold - they could have switched the heater on before we got there. But maybe there’s a safety issue with doing that.

Very friendly staff, absolutely excellent breakfast, nice historical atmosphere.in the main building, good location.
The family room was on the ground floor facing the parking area, the cars were parked right behind the window.

Very charming hotel, filled with character and in a very central but quiet location. The hotel had been refurbished since our last visit and it was greatvto see that the character had been retained while everything was freshened up. The breakfast buffet is great.
The parking place is a bit smallo you have to get there early to get a space. Thankfully it was free to park overnight on the streets close to the hotel.

Kind staff, and comfortable room. The room style can be a bit surprising but was well advertised in the pictures.

Very friendly staff, a beautiful spacious room with a lovely bed and a good bathroom. We also had a delicious dinner in the evening and the next day a great breakfast was waiting for us. We were able to eat this breakfast on the cozy terrace.
The parking lot is very tight and there are few spaces. Also, you have to pay to park your car.

Big lovely room in british style. Clean, comfortable beds, very good breakfast. Closed to the airport

Good central location.
Surprisingly good food.
Pleasant staff.
Our ground floor room faced directly onto the carpark - unless we wanted to keep the curtains closed at all times, anyone could look straight into our room.
There was no wardrobe or drawers to store clothing.

Never in my life I would have expected that in the little town of Sandefjord we will have this wonderful experience: the best breakfast (in the world - an we've travelled some continents), in a cozy little hotel, with history encrypted into it's walls.

I found myself needing something to wear to bed and the hotel staff kindly loaned me a dressing gown to sleep in. They were above and beyond a typical hotel - they were exceptionally accommodating. Hotel was well presented, good location, with artistic and antique-like decor. Breakfast was comprehensive, well organised, and delicious. Staff were warm and welcoming.

Great rooms with a large bathroom. Modern facilities and comfy bed. The attached restaurant is lovely!

Breakfast was the best out of all the hotel services. But the personnel overall is outrageously uncaring. Check-in was prompter than quick and very little were we told about the hotel amenities. Not even the wifi or the breakfast hours…
The personnel. We stayed at a few other hotels in Norway and that was from far the most deceiving experience (with the exception of the breakfast).
The personnel is really not welcoming. The only employee who actually said hi to us (with a smile on) was a young lady at breakfast. Wish she had more responsibilities because truly, the other people need trained in the industry. We may be too young for this type of wannabe 5 star hotel. I cannot say but as far as I’m concerned, all people should be equally treated and we, as a family, did not feel welcome at all over our stay.

Comfortable, staff great.
No storage space, no cupboard, no drawers in room.

For the price it is a fantastic place to stay. The hotel has a lot of historic charm while also offering modern, renovated facilities. I have stayed here twice and my rooms have been very comfortable, particulary due to the heated floors in the bathrooms. Breakfast includes a nice selection of high quality dishes (including freshly cooked scrambled eggs) in a cozy and calm restaurant.
The sound isolation of my last room was average, meaning you could hear steps in the corridor. However, I am particularly sensitive to waking up to noise and I always wear ear plugs. With ear plugs, it was no problem.
