Angenehme Übernachtung.

Wir haben das Hotel für eine Zwischenübernachtung gebucht, weil wir es von früheren Besuchen kannten, allerdings unter anderen Besitzern. Das Zimmer war wie damals, gemütlich und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war französischer Standard. Für uns ausreichend. Das Hotel ist sehr schön in Montignac gelegen, hat einen sehr schönen Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten und einen Swimmingpool.

Wir hatten im Restaurant ein Abendessen gebucht, weil wir bei unseren ersten Besuchen vom Menü begeistert waren. Leider sind wir enttäuscht worden, das Niveau hat merklich nachgelassen. Der Fischgang, ein Seeteufelfilet, war deutlich übergart. Das Restaurant war an diesem Abend relativ leer und während des Essens wurden die nicht besetzten Tische wieder abgeräumt, das empfanden wir als sehr störend und ungemütlich. Offensichtlich hat der Besitzerwechsel dem Restaurant nicht gut getan.

Everything !!! Lovely peaceful location, by the river. Room was excellent in this lovely historic house. Food was fantastic, more 5 star City hotel than country retreat. Service wonderful. My car broke down and they even helped be start up again so we could continue our holiday. We will go back without hesitation

Fabulous location and lovely owners

Beautiful peaceful hotel in a perfect location for Montignac. The hotel is so beautifully decorated and the pool is lovely, the receptionist / owner was so kind and informative. He highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are visiting for a wedding in a chateau nearby. Also the barman makes the best aperol spritz.

Air conditioned room - it was very hot when we were there, wonderful to have an air conditioned room to come back to. Also the large garden and pool area - very nice in an in-town accommodation.

Great!

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We were a small group of friends visiting to attend a friends wedding and we enjoyed spending time by the pool before the wedding, which is in a serene, quiet walled garden. The room was clean and cool, and for the cheapest room in the hotel, very spacious with a good sized and clean bathroom.

Little could have been better, perhaps having an additional set of keys per room would be useful, but other than that it was pretty faultless.

Comfortable, with very efficient and helpful staff.

Excellent service, beautiful garden location next to river, our satnav struggled to find it but we enjoyed the mystery tour. My husband is over 2 metres tall and the bed was really comfortable and big enough which was great as it is often something we struggle to find. He didn't fit in the shower though which was over the bath and too lowly positioned.

I moved a mirror to create a dressing space as we were attending a family wedding and had smart outfits etc. We also needed space for our laptops so I had to shunt things round to create a workstation as well. It was all possible and very easy but I thought the room could have done with a second chair so we could have worked simultaneously.

Breakfast passable for price charged

Admittedly the hotel emailed to say our booking was for one of their smaller rooms and offered an upgrade to a larger room however it was over 50% more so for one night I declined the offer. However to describe our accommodation as a room it was actually more like an en-suite broom cupboard

absolute perfection!

the PERFECT hotel - the owners are so kind and warm, it felt like a beautiful home away from home in a fairytale. Montignac is perfect, the pool is sublime, the breakfast is incredible, location, parking, everything was 10/10 and we miss it already!

A lovely old building with a beautiful garden and pool on the river. Large and comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. The restaurant was also great.

The staff were not particularly helpful and it would have been good to have laundry facilities in house, or at least be able to use an iron

Beautiful very French hotel Breakfast was very nice and included but dinner was a bit pricey.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and very well situated. Our room was lovely overlooking the square and air conditioned. The bed was low, as is the French way but the pillows were awful!! The pool and gardens were beautiful. We will be returning next year for a couple of days as it is well placed for our follow on holiday.

heaven in montignac

the property had such charm, katia and Thierry were so accommodating and helpful! we had a large group for our stay and they really went above and beyond to make sure we were all happy and made amazing cocktails!

Location excellent. The hotel is nicely furnished in an artful way. The rooms were nicely appointed. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden. The staff were very pleasant and friendly.

More toilet paper would have been good.

Lovely traditional hotel with great service.

Very happy with our stay, characterful traditional hotel that is well looked after by the hosts / owners who are both friendly and caring. The dinner was excellent, the gardens are lovely, the pool clean and warm. The town is pretty and has a number of good bars / restaurants. We really enjoyed our time here, recommended!

Beautiful hotel with huge amazing grounds and lovely pool. Katia is a wonderful friendly hostess, we loved our room - Little Artist - with its flow of fresh air and flock of doves outside.

Disappointing. With the exception of Katya who was ill none of the staff spoke any English.

The location, the pool and the wonderful views from the Adelaide suite.

The hotel could easily be 4 stars if they had provided a kettle in the room with tea and coffee making facilities. And a small bowl of fruit would be a very nice touch. As it is difficult to find anywhere nice for morning coffee or tea in Montignac the kettle is essential on days like Thursday 30 June when the temperature plummeted to 14C. The menu is very limited if you are staying for 7 days as we were. Why not have a plat du hour?
