charming heritage property with family rooms, in a very pretty part of noirmoutier. exceptional breakfast, very pleasant staff, would definitely return.
a little far to walk into the centre of noirmoutier for dinner, and slightly unreliable WiFi, slightly tricky parking, but wonderful apart from that.

All the staff were helpful and amusing. The close proximity to the beach was ideal.

Location good. Value for money
Some elements are a bit dated. Swimming pool was very murky, seemed as if the water had not been cleaned

The charming hotel, the beautiful area it is in, the great beaches in walking distance, the pool (especially when the weather is not so good), the restaurant L’Anse rouge in the evening for dinner (awesome food and super friendly chef focusing on local products), the amazing breakfast buffet but the best of it all: the employees!! So so friendly and warm and always there n trying to help and playing around with the kids. We felt like home there with three kids! We had the perfect week there.
Absolutely nothing.

We were assigned 3 rooms to accommodate our group. The room my family and I were assigned was perfect. It overlooked the garden and had big French doors opening onto a little balcony. We had a quintessentially French experience, which left us with such great holiday memories. The room was a double with a loft room for the 2 kids. Plenty of space to make the most of the summer holiday. The heated pool entertained the kids endlessly. We were sorry not to have had the time to take advantage of the hotel's wellness offers of a massage, the facilities looked lovely. The restaurant and Sebastian were holiday-makers...both made such a positive difference to our experience of the hotel and the island. The hotel had a lovely big garden scattered with sun loungers, tables and chairs...and since the restaurant does not do a lunch service we were allowed to haul our market goodies back from the market and enjoy a French picnic under the shade of the willow tree. One of the groups favourite past times between beach hopping and island cycling.
I booked 3 rooms. 2 were alongside the road, and the occupants experienced some noise from surrounding neighbours' parties (we were there over Bastille Day celebrations). In saying that the rooms were lovely, and the family size 'room' was two interconnecting (by double french doors) double rooms with plenty of space for everyone. The one thing that was probably missing was a drying rack or more hanging hooks in the bathroom for beach towels. Otherwise no complaints. Would love to stay there again.

Perfect location and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean, changing the towels after just one night was a treat not expecting all in all it was perfect. Look
Nothing at all

Great location.
Ridiculously small toilet room. Couldn't get in it and close door!

location was great, the swimming pool and the staff on reception were nice.
one room with baby bed, had a very old bathroom which was extremely tiny which did spur the stay. as others in our booking all had refurbished bathrooms.

The location was nice but remote from the town
We were there 3 nights, on the first night, Saturday, the restaurant was fully booked so we could not eat in. On nights 2 & 3, the restaurant was closed. There were no other restaurants within walking distance.
The hotel was in need of some maintenance.

It was nice staying at this hotel. The staff were welcoming, smiling and highly professional. We were not familiar with the region and the staff kindly answered all the questions we had. Plus, they were very reactive always trying to help. We spoke to three female employees and they were all fantastic.
I had issues using the internet but it finally worked after a few hours.
It can get noisy (we could hear other guests talking from their rooms)

I was given a ground floor room and I was glad as there was no lift available.
Garden layout and covered pool were very pleasant.
Excellent breakfast
Only car parking was on the road, not easy at busy times.

Breakfast was good, not exceptional. Coffee good. Heated pool off season a bonus

This hotel is located about a 10 min walk from la plage des dames which is a beautiful area with a nice beach and forests with walking trails. There's a couple of bars with pub food, a pizza place with take-away (pretty good !) and a seafood restaurant which I did not try but looked OK. September isn't really oyster season (more Nov-Mar) and the area is known for oysters. But you can't go to the beach then ! Lots of oldies and kamakaze on bicycles so you need to be careful driving around there. Even in mid September it was quite busy with lots of traffic, so August would probably not be a good time to visit Noirmoutier.
The hotel reception staff were great and helpful. It's rather expensive but that is probably due to the time of year. They had a heated pool but I didn't try it. The breakfast was good value at EUR 12.
The hotel is kind of old with noisy plumbing and noise from adjacent rooms. There's no a/c but wasn't required when I was there. There is no on-site parking nor anywhere you can park to check in. After 19h, most cars are gone and you can park in the street but it's a bit of a hassle. Also, the hotel restaurant, which had good reviews, could not accommodate me which was a bit disappointing. Probably should have booked in advance. The bed was comfortable but the room is quite small. Bathroom OK. Internet was slow. The main shopping area is quite some walk away (30 mins) and you need to drive to get to a supermarket.
