Elegant Accommodation in the Centro Storico

The Hotel had a very refined ambience. I believe it stands on an ancient site that was once used for the storage of grain during times of Siege. There were Museum quality artifacts everywhere and I don't think they were reproductions. My room was spacious and comfortable. I had two balconies one for each window. Very handy for my tendency to do some sink laundry and hang it out to dry. Good mini fridge with two bottles of water per day. Breakfast was pretty good and the cappuccini were delicious. It was very close to almost everything I wanted to see in the Centro Storico and elsewhere. They gave me a good restaurant recommendation. The front desk clerk when I checked in was especially impressive but the entire staff was good to great. Very good elevator. I didn't get to try the bar but it looked well appointed. The little lounge area in the foyer of the entrance was comfortable and well decorated.

On my second day I went to breakfast fairly late and a lot of the supplies and food had run out. There were no knives. No whole wheat toast. But give them credit when I asked for these things they were given to me.

an unspoiled gem ripe for development

lovely hotel but a parts of the bathroom were a bit tired & could do with a minor refurbishment. the staff were excellent & couldn’t be more helpful if they tire recommending places to eat. that it was the towns saints day. even down to correcting my poor Italian.

the small size of the hotel, it’s location worked for me. Although many tourists would not appreciate being in a rundown area. personally I think Toranto has a huge job omits hands but lots of potential in its old town & round the fishing pot on the small sea,

Good value for money

Bed was confortable, bathroom was big, staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast had a lot of options, mainly sweet breakfast as it is usual in Italy. Although the rooftop bar was not open, you could order drinks downstairs and drinknthem upstaris or BYOB. :)

Good location in old town.

Very central location in the old town. Secured parking was available adjacent to property.

The upper terrace was not open due to Covid. We peaked up there to see that it had an amazing view. I'm not sure why it wasn't open because it is all outside. Plumbing maintenance needed in the bathroom...shower head was broken. Bedspread was torn.

It was a great stay. I was a worried it wouldn't meet my expectations from the pictures but in turn it exceeded it.

A good 3 stars hotel but a poor 4 stars.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were very clean and quite.

Breakfast was really very poor. Wi-Fi in the room did not work. Shower was old and partially broken and there was not power with hot water.

An excellent base for anyone wishing to experience an ancient lively developing city centre.

Many things: The welcoming efforts made by all the staff. The position in the old town. One travel writer wrote recently: "I know of nowhere in Italy where an ancient past seems so alive." This is an exciting ancient vibrant centre that is gradually conserving its past - whilst seeming to also include the present residents in that process. The careful design of the hotel - maintaining ancient elements into the present structure.... thus creating considerable character to the hotel. Maybe the biggest plus was, on arrival, having a chance meeting with the owner who provided, in very short time a succinct & detailed background history to the city - and gave us a brief tour of some of the interesting features he had included in the hotel development.

All was just amazing!!!

We had a very warm welcome by Ilaria, a very professional receptionist. The location is perfect right in the old city of Taranto. The room was very comfortable, clean and fully-equipped. We just loved our stay and definitely recommend to anyone who would like to have a pleasant vacation.

Superb

I like it a lot the portraits and the art all around the hotel. Stuff very professional and friendly. The room was incredibly clean and well organized. Breakfast buffet very good with so many different options. Location very suggestive in the old town. I love it!

The lift wasn't working and there isn't air conditioning in the stairs.
