Playa Colibrí is an Aparthotel located right on the beach which was very nice. The hotel swimming pool is large, well maintained and is relaxing space. The Hotel's beach bar is good and serves good fresh fish right on the beach.
There is a road between the Hotel and the beach which was quite busy with traffic. Also cars would pass with stereo systems playing at full volume which seems to be common in DR. nevertheless sometimes it was a bit wearing. The beach and adjoining properties were busy and I was kept awake by the sound of raucous partying on a few nights.

Beautiful apartment across from the beach. breakfast on the beach on colorful picnic tables
pretty noisy when there is a party

Beach clean and cosy, excellent beach restaurant with breakfast at the beach. Pool clean and well maintained , water sometimes a little bit to hot!, rooms cleaned daily ,towel service and cleaning by room maid. Many moskitos. Excellent hotel to relax . Only negative point: road sometimes very noisy, quality of music from neighbour hotel Eden disturbing due to defectiv components / ampli or loudsp.

Location and atmosphere outstanding. Very nice staff!!
Food at beach cafe inconsistent and very average

good breakfast
beautiful hotel
room comes with kitchen
comfortable bed
lack of attention from staff in a specific request.
The toilet had a problem and we were told they
will send someone but no one came. we had to fix
it on our own
excessive security measures: they give you the AC
and TV control remote, room keys, and towel card
keys in an envelope that you have to return at
check out. they also take copies of your IDs,
request to know the car you drive, and put a
bracelet on that is to identify you are staying in the
hotel when you go to the restaurant for breakfast
which is across the street. even after all that,at the
breakfast buffet, they ask you
your room number.

The hotel is really cute, breakfast is served directly at the beach.
There is a kitchen in the apartment to cook and a small terrace to have dinner.
The music at the beach is way too loud.
There are no umbrellas with the sunbeds so everybody gathers down the shadows of the palm trees which are next to the bar.
You cannot relax since the music is too loud.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment facing the swimming pool. The apartment was very nice and well equipped. Down the path is the beach where they serve breakfast and where you can also eat lunch and/or dinner or just order a drink. The staff was fantastic ensuring that we had all we needed. They even switched firm pillow for softer pillows for us, brought us blankets, and arranged for a take-out breakfast because we had an early outing that day. Staff was happy to also chat with us. The beach is very nice also, and the town is not too far (can easily walk there and back).
Could use some minor updates (e.g. had to hold the bathroom shower head in one of the 2 bathrooms as the wall fixture was broken).

We liked the location being that it was out of the noise and traffic of town BUT close enough to walk into town. We loved the size and amenities of the room. It was nice that the hotel had a great bar/restaurant right on the beach directly across a small low-traffic beach street and other restaurants & beach bars very nearby. Nice garden plaza and pool as well. Nice to have secured parking.
The bathroom was a little tight. Had to step around the bidet to get in/out of the shower.
Mosquitos and sand fleas but don't think there is anything the hotel can do anything about that, nature.

Wonderful location with great beach and coastal view. Beautiful garden with lots of information signs about flora and fauna. Wonderful pool. Very nice design of the houses and rooms with the prettiest turquise colour. Loved the details like welcome chocolate, shelves in the bath room and beautifully carved frame of the mirror. Very nice and helpful manager. Nice food. My favorite place in Dominicana!

1) The location is great, beach front, a big private parking.
2)a good breakfast,
3)spacious rooms
4) the hotel is big, well decorated and the pool is nice
5) the beach in front is gorgeous
6) very close to the center village
1)the room was not that clean: the roofs were soo dusty you pass your fingers it becomes dark with
dust
2) the mosquitoes were all over the room without even opening the balcony. we couldnt sleep with that ( more than 20 mosquitoes…) you really need to invest in anti mosquitoes in the rooms
3) maybe more vegetarian options in breakfast

Beach was beautiful. Calmer waves.
Friendly staff.
Lovely gardens. And pool.
A colonial Caribbean vibe. We enjoyed.
A bit noisy from street scooters and motor bikes during the day, but I would recommend anyway. At night quieter, and dead end street.
The grounds were beautiful and staff very accommodating.
Food good😊
4.5
Helpful staff and best location near the beach. Drinks at the beach restaurant are very good.
Breakfast needs some improvement
