No entraba aire y mandaba aire caliente
Me fui a otro hotel más cerca de la playa con aire y más económico

Great hotel, lovingly furnished and maintained. ☀️ The Owner is communicative and helps with questions. We have had other experiences in Las Terrenas, but will come back to the House Jardin del Caribe at any time 👍🏻 5 stars for this stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Marco y Monika

It was a nice room for the price located in a local barrio of Las Terrenas within 10 minutes of walking to everything.
It would have been nice if they had provided at least water or a bottle of water. Also we were looking forward to a creole dinner as advertised and breakfasts but neither of those is offered any longer

Very far from city centre and promenade: guests absolutely need a car, and the parking places of the House are a nightmare. Luckily - for now at least - cars can be better left outside, in the parking of a nearby Hospital.

It's a spacious flat.
The staff is not competent and not client oriented. There are way too many mosquitos (I must have killed about 10 and still many were flying around). There is an additional charge on top of the booking.com price. The exchange rate USD to DOP calculated by the hotel staff is not very fair.

cute room and nice little outdoor sitting space (little balcony)
no water or coffee provided

Very nice staff working there. We were allowed to leave our bags when we arrived early. They also gave us the room earlier than official check in. Everything clean, aircon working good and its quiet in the night.
The kitchen was tiny and not really ment for cooking. But there are many restaurants, if you can afford eating out every day thats fine. Its a 30 min walk away from the nice beach

The quiet of that location

Nothing
No recommendations, The establishment by photo looks amazing fantastic the price for the page looks great but unfortunately the case when you go to the location the place where it is is in a very bad location even when we arrived someone said that we have to be careful for there when I ring the bell and unfortunately the person who attends me almost closes the door on me and it seems that he was in a very bad mood.

Good honest economic accomodation in the middle of town.
The area is a bit busy if you are looking for tranquility.
3.9
Good location, close to all the main beaches (although it's better to travel there with a car).
Clean, quite hotel. We had the room with the kitchen and although it wasn't super well-equipped it was enough to prepare simple meals.
Had fans so it didn't get too warm.
They don't provide drinking water (which is usually the care for most hotels in the DR) so it's important to buy some beforehand.

EXCELLENT
1) KITCHEN. I needed a kitchen because we were on a budget and I thought there was a shared kitchen, but it's now closed because of the guests' bad behavior (I get that!)… Not only did they give us a kitchen, but they actually upgraded us to a HUGE apartment with kitchen for free, while we were already very happy with our beautiful "little" 18m2 room (Ezequiel). Amazing! We basically saved an extra $100 (in cheap restaurants) that we didn't have and had a great 5-night stay!
2) LOOKS. The whole place is beautiful and comfy, no matter where you are.
3) WIFI. The wifi wasn't perfect of course, and we had a few power cuts in the whole area… nothing you can do about that… but overall it worked pretty well for professional video calls and we weren't bothered at all by too much outside noise, unlike in many other Dominican hotels.
4) PEOPLE. Dari (?), the Dominican receptionist (and owner?) is an adorable, helpful and extremely kind woman, just seeing her made me smile every time.
5) LOCATION. The neighborhood is authentic and the local Dominican people are very nice, polite and helpful. The music in the street isn't TOO loud (a great point in this country!) and you don't hear it too much (or the countless motos) once you're in the hotel, because it's quite isolated from the –mostly unbearable– main street (5-minute walk).
BAD
1) BEACH. It's really far away, especially since the sun will burn you alive if you have to walk for more than 20 minutes at noon. That's why people chill in the shadow, and why you should book a room close to the beach or pay the extra $5 (per day and per person) to get there with a mototaxi. It's minimum a tough 20-minute walk to the main beach, and really, really far from Playa Bonita (45 minutes or more if you don't run under the burning sun).
IMPROVABLE
2) RECEPTION CLOSED. Most of the time, there was no one in the reception, because people were on a break or working elsewhere in the hotel. If you're 2 with a single key and not together at all time, you might have to wait outside (under the sun, yes) for a long time until someone finally opens the gate. Every time it was another guest with a key.
3) HARD TO GET IN TOUCH. If you need something, even a simple information that you won't ever find online, you might wait for a long time too, or just not have it (and then, better ask the neighbors!). They're basically understaffed, but paying a guy to wait all day in the reception would be useless during low season, so there's no quick fix… except maybe one key per guest and a board or a flyer somewhere with all the basic information. For example, that you need to pay for drinking water but can have a rechargeable (for $1) 25L big can next door for $6 instead of $30. That the mototaxi to the guagua station costs $4 (200 pesos) for 2 and is available at all time to catch the 5am or 7am guagua to Santo Domingo, etc.
4) BAD COMMUNICATION.

amazing and super helpful staff, cozy place, very beautiful rooms
little hard to find using the directions in the app or trying to find the address on google

the space of the room was very good
I did not have a comfortable parking lot to park my vehicle, and I had to leave it in a space and rent a motorcycle.

Quiet place
Tv didnt work properly all the time, but not a big deal for me as im not there to watch tv

The house exceeded my expectations - great value for money. Clean, air con and warm water available, spacious rooms, quiet grounds.
Beds were comfortable but a bit worn, balcony door didn't lock properly

we liked big space, big apartment, clean, parking place for 2 cars, close to the seaside and bars (12 min walk), good price for value.
We were on a day trip and when we return at 22.00 the employers were very angry like “you took the wrong apartment, you need to move into another, other hosts were waiting you etc!!!” we were shocked!! So it was like that we choose the wrong apartment but actually they give as keys LOL … so we need to packed the stuff and move to another also nice apartment in the evening. After loudly talk she apologised but still. Ok, things happened but we were very disappointed with communication.
3.9
Good sized room and seating areas with character. Off street parking within overall secure area requiring key to open gate (though very little crime in area). Wifi better in upstairs seating area than in downstairs bedroom though a little more noisy. Value for money. Short walking distance to town centre shops and restuarants. Recommended.
I was aware prior to arrival that town centre is a long walk from sea and that Domincan Republic internet access speeds and reliability are not up to European levels

we enjoyed staying here, we could easily walk down to the main street. House Jardín is in a local area, but we never felt unsafe.
we didn’t use the kitchen as it didn’t look properly maintained. we bought some food and ate in our room instead.
