Location, Mitla is a wonderful place to visit.
The restaurant wasn't open, the pillows were insignificant, the air-conditioning wasn't working, there was no air flow in the room, room was stuffy which made it hard to sleep, they were fumigating outside the room and the reception.

The hotel is very pretty, with a swimming pool and clean, comfortable rooms.
An onsite restaurant is advertised, but it is closed and no one seems to know when and if it will reopen. There was not even a morning coffee/tea service offered. There were problems with our air conditioner and we had to call twice to have it fixed. When it was, it dripped condensation all night long.

Absolutely nothing their customer service sucked and the room
I was put in a room that's smelled like mold and had AC not working it was super hot. They didn't give us any towels or toilet paper. I asked to be moved to another room and the manager said no because we had used the restroom to pee. It was very upsetting and disgusting the blankets were dirty as well.

Room was bright and well appointed with a small balcony over the garden accessed by large sliding glass doors. Garden and (unheated) pool are beautiful and we had a very nice swim. Location is excellent, adjacent to the zocalo. Staff was working all the time to keep the place clean and tidy.
As in many older hotels, electrical outlets in the room were few and far between and some were non-functional. The safe in the closet was non-functional. Current hotel description on Booking.com includes "restaurant" and photos of a nice dining room but the restaurant appeared to be permanently closed, which made getting breakfast or even a cup of coffee impossible before 9AM, and nothing in the neighborhood opens any earlier. Likewise the lovely bar in the garden was closed (though we were warned about that) and there isn't a single ice cube to be had in the facility if you want to mix your own drink to enjoy on the terrace. Hot water pressure in our room was non-existent - it came out of the shower and sink in barely a dribble which made even a warm shower extremely challenging. English language competency of the front desk staff was minimal, so they weren't much help with local information or logistics.

Great location right in the middle of town and close to everything including a great market with food stalls, the craft shops, and the archeological site. The central location does mean it is loud at the hotel during fiestas in the square but earplugs did the trick for us. The themed rooms are decorated nicely (everything was tulips in our room) and we enjoyed sitting out on our little balcony looking over the central courtyard and across the rooftops of the town. Parki my available in the huge on-site garage, the pool looks great, though we didn’t use it. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The shower wasn’t great, but not unusual compared to other places we have stayed in Mexico. The beds were hard.

Very professional stuff.
Bathrooms could be updated.

Gorgeous place! Our room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed. The location, right by the plaza, is lovely—the plaza is very lively in the evenings :)
The shower could have more pressure and the tub could maybe be updated.
Also, there's not really a cafe inside the hotel. There are plenty of options around and nearby, but Mitla can be a little hard for early breakfast.

Nice hotel right in the center of the town. Big garage, nice playground for the kids, very nice rooms. We stayed here twice and enjoyed how each room is decorated in a different and unique way.

Super central with a beautiful garden. my room had a lovely view over the garden. The first room I stayed in didn't have hot water so they let me swap rooms with no trouble at all. Bathroom facilities are a bit outdated but I had hot water and the water pressure was alright. Bed was comfy and it was very quiet.
It was all good. The bathroom looked a bit outdated but everything worked just fine

great location, very quiet even though we were on the main square. lovely butterflies in the garden
one of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the swimming pool but sadly it was closed. As with a lot hotels that we have stayed in it is a bit tired.

Location was right in the centre. Free parking was inside so secure.
Bathroom towels could be replaced, they were pretty flimsy and rough.

Nice an quiet place (ask for rooms that go to the Patio) in Mitla. We enjoyed our stay very much. Spectacular breakfast in the breakfast shop in the same building but accessible from outside only. 10 minutes walk to the ruins of Mitla. Clearly recommend !
Hot water for showers only for a few minutes. Maybe not the correct place to safe on operating cost.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice, spacious courtyard. Well-located on main square.
Pool rather cold. Beds a bit too soft. Not clear why outdoor bar was closed for covid (indoor restaurant made more sense).

The resturant was closed but they were able to send room service with coffee and breakfast..wonderful.
We were able to stream Netflux from our phone.
I reserved for the pool and it was just to dirty to use. Also the water was quit cool dispite late afternoon July stay. Also the bathroom was not very clean. It is a nice hotel that is in a nice area but not for me.
I had thought we reserved a king bed but upon check in we had actually reserved 2 doubles. They would not change the room unless I paid about 30% more for the room. The price was high to begin with. They even mentioned there were no reservations for the king. Not very nice customers relations.
Rather hard beds by US standards.
