Un buen lugar para estar

La calidez del personal, siempre dispuestos a ayudarte en lo que necesites. Son amables y atentos. La comida también es bastante buena.

Agradable lugar con excelente atención

El lugar es limpio, cómodo, acogedor, los precios son muy accesibles y el personal es muy amable y siempre dispuestos a ayudar en lo que necesites. Lo recomiendo sin la menor duda

Lo único que no me gustó, es que con frecuencia algunos de los huéspedes llegaban tarde haciendo mucho ruido y me despertaban

Super place for super price.

Very well designed and maintained space. Food and beer at their restaurant is very tasty. Team respectful, subtle and calm. For long time of my travel i felt like Home.

A comfy, great-value hostel in thamel

I like this hostel. Staff is very friendly and helpful (they went above and beyond to assist me), location is excellent (on the edge of Thamel so near everything you need but not in the chaos), on-site restaurant is good food and good value, very hot water for shower!

No non-smoking common area (very smoky at times), hostel next door plays loud music late at night that might disturb sleep

The hot shower work really well :), the staff are friendly and very helpful, location is closer to Thamel where you could walks safely and shops some souvenir/chill.

Lovely stay, great location

Lovely chill area, very quiet and relaxed hostel. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Excellent place to stay if in group

The staff here are LOVELY & are very happy to help and answer questions. They recommended me a guide agency & it has been the highlight of my trip so far.

The only down side to this hostel is its lack of social space. As a solo traveler I was hoping to meet people in the hostel - but this didn’t happen. There were lots of groups & not many other solo travelers. I think the bar area doesn’t encourage people to hang out - so this is possibly the reason? I also recommend having a room with en-suite - the communal toilets & showers are hard for them to keep clean all the time & stocked with toilet paper.

Highly recommend.

People and the staff were extremely friendly and always had smiley face. I like the room and the environment was peaceful. Close to main thamel and monkey temple. The restaurant area garden was very relaxing to just chill and relax.

Amazing Stay in Kathmandu

I loved my stay in Bird Nest Hostel. It's a a really chill place in Thamel to rest and to meet both travelers and nepali people. Amod, the owner is really helpful and welcoming. Next time I come in Nepal, I will come back here for sure. See you soon

Good value, a cheap bed in a quieter area. Could be cleaner.

Nice staff. Relatively convenient location, but a bit far from the major sites of Thamel. Good value for a pretty cheap bed.

Distance from sites in Thamel. Lack of breakfast. Had to pay to store luggage for my trek, which I thought was not necessary

Superb

I was staying on the last floor, and it really felt like a nest. Rooms are very cosy, decorated with mostly wood, wich gives a really warm atmosphere. Very nice view on the mountains :) I also liked the fact that the hostel was not located inside Thamel (but very close to it): it is quieter area and in the same time close to everything. Also wanted to mention that the food is delicious ;) Thanks again for the beautiful stay :)

It’s a really welcoming hostel with a great staff! We spent few days but surely we’ll come back during our stay in Nepal

The male dwarf owner has unnecessary nonsenses to single female. The wifi is bad, the plug is loose and can't charge. There are many chairs outside the window of the female dormitory room, so many people sit there, talking non-stop from morning to night all day,it is noisy.

Awesome. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Staff were amazing, guests were amazing, and the hostel exceeded all my expectations. Can't wait to be back!

Very good stay

We stayed 3 times in total in this hostel. This is well located near to Thamel. The hostel is confortable and mostly quiet, with nice beds, warm showers, clean restrooms. The staff is very nice and keen to help. They got terraces to have chill time.

Friendly family

Very friendly and helpful family! Single room and dorm were nice. Hot shower in the shared restrooms. The new reception/sitting area is comfy, breakfast and coffee are tasty. I could store my bag here during my hike at Annapurna. Good location, 10 min to Thamel.

No hot water in the single room, restrooms in general could be cleaner, they are a bit dark as well. In some evenings/nights it was pretty noisy.

Location is good - close to the main road but in a quiet neighborhood. Staff are helpful.

There were a few days that water became brown from the tap. Also, there was a bad smell for my clothes after using their laundry service. And my room was right above the common area which all the loud noise and smoke came into the room and that wasn't a pleasant stay.
