La ubicación, la decoración, desayuno, y la zona de piscina

La habitación, la que queda atras de la mesa de recepción tiene las paredes muy sopladas por humedad y sin pintar. Seria ideal que incluyan una botellita de agua para consumo. Y de ser posible una neverita para bebidas. Sin embargo es un lindo Hotel muuuy bien ubicado. Vuelvo Sin problema.

O hotel fica em uma casa histórica. O pessoal nos atendeu muito bem e o café-da-manhã foi razoável

A localização é ruim, especialmente para se sair à noite. Não tente ir à praia. Além de ser ruim e aparentemente suja, você é importunado por vendedores, agentes de turismo, locadores de cadeiras e até prostitutas.

We'd stay here again without a doubt

This lovely hotel was a private home in a previous lifetime. As noted elsewhere there are 6 rooms with 2 more coming soon. We were here for a week and didn't notice any construction but were out most days. Our room was large and had both a fan and air con. There was a choice of 4 breakfast menus - we settled for juice, fruit, eggs on toast & coffee. It was great. Security was good and never an inconvenience. Only once in our stay did we need to ring the buzzer to be let out. Rafael, Manuel & Antonio were all very helpful and their English far exceeded our lame Spanish. The location is perfect if you don't want to actually stay inside the old city. We made the trip at least once, sometimes twice a day/night, always on foot. The pool was clean and very refreshing after each day walking in hot, humid Cartagena.

The bed was made up each day but the bathroom was looking a bit lived in after the week. Traffic in the street seemed chaotic the afternoon we arrived then strangely never occurred again. Everything else perfect.

Superb

Wonderful place to have a first night in Colombia with our two small children after a long journey. Beautiful hotel, comfortable room, nice outdoor patio and pool.

We only stayed for one night so I cannot say a lot about the location, but it is close to the airport and has easy access by car to the walled city. I don’t know how the neighborhood itself is.

We were very comfortable and well cared for during our few days stay.

Very large room. Very large bed. Plenty of storage and a couch and chair. Very large shower and plenty of hot water at a good pressure. Grounds are well kept. The pool was comfortable. All of the staff were attentive. There were a variety of selections available for an individually prepared breakfast. Nostalgic feel to to a century old private home converted to a boutique hotel.

No a/c in the main lobby although the a/c in the hotel room itself was excellent.

Casa Bustamante is in a great location amd has amazing staff!

The location was great. We wanted to be close to the walled city, and the hotel was within close walking distance. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. They all made us feel welcome and just like family. Miguel answered our many questions and gave us some great information and advice. We enjoyed sitting at the outdoor tables each morning to start the day with the breakfast that was included. The typical breakfast of arepas was our favorite. We have happy memories of our stay at Casa Bustamante.

There wasn’t really anything negative except that it would have been nice to have had an extra pillow on each bed.

Great property with easy access to old town

The staff are lovely. Miguel and Manuel, and all the ladies helping keep the property so clean and welcoming. The building is gorgeous, the beds comfortable, the rooms spacious, and the wifi just fine. We were concerned about having a room just off the lobby, but it really wasn't an issue. The rooms are decently soundproofed, and we hardly ever heard anything, or were heard. Not a concern at all. The shower is spacious with plenty of warm water. The pool are is great, and breakfast is delicious with a decent range of options. Highly recommended. Taxis are abundant and inexpensive, and both the beach and walled city are a short walk away.

A beautiful relaxing place.

Everything was better than we anticipated, pictures do not do justice to this place, their staff, service and a heartwarming invitation from the owners. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay,relax, swim, do a bit of yoga, read a book and have a great breakfast, this is your place.

The best! We felt just at home.

We loved this place. Is an authentic old house of Cartagena. The staff is amazing really lovely. The breakfast was super with four different choices. The swimming pool is well maintaned and big enough. The room was amazing as well, really wide and clean.

Amazing and unforgetable. I'll comeback for sure

First of all, I must say that I've chosen Casa Bustamante because of colonial style to spend 12 days. The house is 120 years old, but Mr. Edgar (the owner) keeps the the Casa in ideal condition. More over, the Casa is adapted for the modern life style. Casa Bustamante is ideally located in peaceful neighborhood, near old city (500m), long send beach (50m) and airport (we never heard planes' noise :) ). Room is very big, like small apartment. The breakfast is delicious (we really enjoy in Colombian traditional food). The staff is the best I ever met (and I travel quite lot) -helpful, always with smile, friendly. I didn't use the pool, because I prefer sea, but you will enjoy in colorful garden and fresh, clear water (the staff is cleaning pool each night). I recognized that people usually stay 2-3 nights, but my worm recommendation that you choose to stay more days, because you can explore all Cartagena (all parts of city are very close to Casa Bustamante (3-3.5km the furthest)) and all parts of Colombia as well. You can work peacefully (WI-FI is perfect), you can organize some celebration, or even meeting. I wish to all further guests to enjoy in Casa Bustamante like I did <3

The position of the hotel was not far from city center (10 min walking distance to ciudad vieja) but the street was not the best (kind of an highroad).

Great first visit to Cartagena. Highly recommended.

Rooms are large with comfortable beds and great WIFI. The building is beautiful with its colonial style. All the staff were so friendly and helpful from the kitchen staff to reception. A small team with a family feel which we really enjoyed. You definitely feel a personal touch and they really go above and beyond. Definitely made for a memorable first visit to Cartagena and the location is ideal to walk to the centre. Very safe neighbourhood. Thank you to all the staff. We will come back in the future!

great hotel for the value

the location is great! 10min walk from the main center of cartagena and in the back is the beach. you get free breakfast, the customer service is great. there was parking for our rental car and Cesar stays up over night to make sure you get into the hotel in the early morning hours because the main doors are always locked.

the hotel needs a bit of an update but for the most part is a great hotel for the value!
