About this house rental
Emmons Realty is proud to present this two-story East Beach Cottage that recently underwent a 10-month renovation and is under new ownership. Tabby on 12th is steps away from the beach and is located within a short stroll to Gould’s Inlet. We are 0.7 miles from Coast Guard Station and 2.5 miles from the Village and Pier. The home has two porches, one of which is a screened-in sunroom with a beautiful day bed swing and a couple of rocking chairs for you to enjoy your morning coffee.
This is the perfect home for those looking to get away for some rest and relaxation. As you walk into the home you are greeted by a large living room with 12-foot ceilings that will comfortably sit 6. On your right lies a charming kitchen with an island that seats 3 and a breakfast nook that seats 6. The kitchen is well-appointed with stainless steel appliances and a drip coffee machine. Off of the living area, there is a dining table that seats 5.
As you walk past the living room and down the hall of the ground floor you will find a guest bathroom on your left with a step-in shower, vanity, and closet. Straight down the hall lies the first guest room with two twin beds, a trundle bed, a closet, and a 24” inch TV. There is a full-size washer and dryer in between the guest bath and the first guest room.
The first of two master bedrooms is also located on the ground floor ensuite that seats 3, a closet, and a 42” inch TV leading into the master bedroom. Therein is a king bed, master bathroom with a step-in shower, double vanity, and walk-in closet.
The third bedroom is equipped with a queen bed, 40-inch TV, and a full bath with vanity and a tub/shower combo.
There is a winding staircase with 14 steps leading you to the second story of the house, where you will find the second master bedroom. This room is tastefully furnished with a king bed, coffee bar, seating area for 3, a large walk-in closet, and a porch. The bathroom has a double vanity, two closets, and a large walk-in shower with a soaking tub.
Enjoy the privacy of your own pool and outdoor shower with enough space for lounging and relaxing. The driveway in front of the house can comfortably accommodate 4 cars with ample space for a golf cart. The home is a 5-minute walk to the nearest beach entrance and a 7-minute drive to the Village and Pier.
Includes wireless internet. We DO NOT accept pets. There is a fee to heat the pool.
Every one of our properties is furnished with a “starter kit” of supplies so that you don't have to run to the store at the start of your vacation.

We had a wonderful time in this house! The design is more beautiful than it appears in the photos, and the layout of the rooms felt open and comfortable. The two king bedrooms are huge with luxurious bathrooms. Super clean! The pool is small-ish, but plenty of room for two kids and two adults to play about. The company was responsive to a user-error issue on check-in, and was very patient! They know their stuff. Great stay. Thank you!

First visit to SSI
The house is beautiful and every bit as amazing as the pictures. Very convenient to everything and the beach access is even closer than we thought! The pool and sitting area with fireplace are very well maintained and even had a great weber gas grill. Theres so much space for everyone. We had 6adults and 1 child and still had room for more! Nice, quiet neighborhood, and very well maintained!! And the pictures of the bathrooms do no justice to the actual size and beauty...they are huge! We very much enjoyed the kitchen with huge commercial gas stove/oven. 3 great dining spots and even a screened in side porch with extra fridge, and porch swing bed and extra seats to just sit and chill 😎 we will definetly be back!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! The two primary bedroom suites and two additional bedrooms worked perfectly for our group that consisted of two families with 4 kids total (ages 13,10,9 and 2). The heated pool was a blessing since we didn’t have the warmest weather every day. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and grilling as we made most of our meals. Location is amazing- we walked to beach every AM for sunrise and every PM for sunset. The only thing that we would recommend adding would be some hooks for hanging up towels in bathroom to hang up wet towels and swimsuits. Overall was a wonderful vacation home.

Emmons was quick to respond to any needs. On the far end of east beach so does require a bit of a dune walk to get to the beach but this seems to be increasing as the edge of the island changes shape over the last several years due to the tides. Would love to see the addition of a desk somewhere in the house for us virtual workers. Even under the TV in the 2nd TV room would be useful.

Emmons staff was helpful.A couple of suggestions:Ditch the checkout list which sounds like something a nagging mother would leave—strip the beds, take out the trash, start the dishwasher, clean the grill. People are on vacation AND they are paying for a cleaning service to clean the house. All this should be covered.(Don’t move the pool furniture?)There are also fees that are probably never charged, but sound obnoxious—$50 plus postage to return something left at the house and $65 if a reservation is made and cancelled the same day.

While the house was not childproofed, it has a lot of character, plenty of room, great heated pool, and close proximity to the dunes (waterline was a fun hike through the dunes!) The amenities of the house were great...fully stocked kitchen (except for storing leftovers) -- PLENTY of cookware, dinnerware, glasses, utensils, etc! Bathrooms were stocked with nicer toilet paper, soap and plenty of towels. Ample linens throughout. Plenty of space. The pool was perfection. We really enjoyed our short beach visit and stay in this home! And communication with Emmons was terrific and easy!

There were plenty of linens (no beach towels provided) though not nearly enough places to hang up wet towels and swimsuits.
We would definitely stay here again!!

We enjoyed our first visit the St. Simons and Tabby on 12th. The East Beach neighborhood is great and the home was spacious and well-appointed. Having the pool was a huge plus. While it was just my wife and I staying, I could see this home as perfect for a large family.
Our only issues: 1) the beach access on 12th Street is a challenge. The trail led through a marsh and we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. We had to walk down to Gould’s Inlet (4 blocks) to get on the beach. 2) The unit was a bit dirty when we arrived.
