Fully refurbished with modern, quality furnishings and fittings throughout, Spitfire View boasts a Cosy log burner, full central heating , off street parking for two cars and is just a few minutes’ walk from Folkestone's Leas, Costal park, famous seafront, artists quarters, bars and restaurants.
There are many Winter attractions close by; colourful Christmas markets even England’s smallest commercial steam railway in Hythe. The historic City of Canterbury is just 25 minutes away, Dover’s famous White Cliffs and castle with underground tunnels just 15 mins. On foot, explore Folkestone’s artistic quarter and the Harbour arm, visit the Leas and costal park or walk the North Downs from your doorstep.
London is 50 minutes via high speed train or take a day trip to the continent with easy access to Brussels and Paris either through the channel tunnel or ferry.
Our large well equipped kitchen and dining areas are ideal for entertaining family and friends or those quiet romantic dinners for two whilst admiring a winter sunset.
On a sunny weekend, watch out for the thrill and unforgettable sight and sound of historic Spitfires passing overhead en-route to the nearby battle of Britain memorial.
Relaxing here is easy whatever your holiday preference, the lounge features a large screen TV with Netflix, Freeview, DVD, Blu-Ray, and Wireless Sound system, Hi Speed Wi-Fi and a cosy log burner with an initial supply of logs. For the sunnier days unwind in the landscaped garden, wood-smoker bar-be-que on the circular patio to peaceful reading in the summer house or exploring the local attractions.

Clean and nice house, a good starting point to travel to other locations in England, for example London. Everything you need is there and Graham and Fiona are very nice hosts. All in all, five stars!

Staying at Spitfire View was a pleasure. We loved the house and gorgeous garden. The welcome package was hugely appreciated by all of us - thanks again! The kitchen was well-equipped and provided us with essentials such as salt, oil, vinegar, spices, paper towels, tin foil etc.

What a great location! Only a 15 minute walk to the harbour and a beautiful walk too.
The property had everything we needed and the hosts were great to respond to any question we had. The bungalow is a great layout especially for families.

Everything perfect - the apartment is quietly located in beautiful surroundings above the town of Folkestone - the room interior is absolutely lovely and especially the many surprises we were very pleased - nice christmas tree, many bath ammunities, a super equipped kitchen and a adorable welcome package with special Spitfire beer, prosecco and many breakfast ingredients - wonderful - thank you very much for this - Fiona and Graham are two perfect hosts who answer questions immediately and provide assistance at any time for a perfect stay.

We had a marvelous one-week family holiday here over Christmas. The decorations were perfect: gorgeous tree, christmas crackers, Santa in the garden, and a cozy fire to sit around and play games all evening. Fiona and Graham are amazing hosts, truly the best in the business, the house was spotless, everything helpfully labelled with any necessary instructions, and the kitchen magnificent and perfectly stocked with all you need. The area is fantastic too, with walks up to the cliffs and downs within a few minutes from the house, and an equally beautiful walk down to the beaches and the harbourfront. All in all, a ten star experience. We are eager to return!

The property was outstanding. Fiona and Graham were great . Even when I lost the key!! Would highly recommend the property. Location was fabulous. We walked to the east cliff and sands everyday.

The holiday home was one of the best we ever had, the welcome package outstanding und nothing was missing in the house, we felt very much at home and had a very relaxing and great holiday in Folkestone. Although the walk to the beach and harbour was longer than expected, we soon found out that a bus just over the road was available and a good alternative to walking or using the car. We highly recommend this holiday home, it was really worth its rental.

A wonderful baungalow that we have stayed at 3 times now.. and as always ..it was perfect. Myself, my husband, daughter and son in law .with our gorgeous 7 year old grandson stayed for the Whitsun week.and all was superb. There is nothing that you do not have at Spitfire View to make for the best holiday. .. parking for 2 cars.. wonderful beds beautiful garden and barbecue toys and games and a perfect kitchen diner and lounge. Thank you again Graham and Fiona ..we will be back ! x

The process couldn't have been easier, and the location was just right for visiting the surrounding countryside on a short holiday. Having our own space to call "home" made the trip that much nicer, and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and ready to go!

We had a great time here. It was wonderful. Graham and Fiona are fantastic hosts. The day after we arrived they came by to see if everything was ok. I had to open the door with the curlers in my hair. Very embarrassing, but we laugh about it. The house was very clean and very well equipped. There was a small problem with a door, this was fixed very quickly. Absolutely perfect. We went on day trips every day and then we were able to come back to this beautiful house. We really enjoyed the garden with the barbecue (In Germany, these barbecues are called "smokers", certainly an English word, but completely unknown in England. Very funny) and in the evening we could relax on the terrace. For myself, the trips to England are very important to improve my language skills, as I will be taking an exam soon. The friendly nature of the English led to many conversations. I wish the family that they always have guests who care for the house and treat it with respect. The advertisement here does not promise too much, everything was as promised. I am very happy to recommend it.

A great week probably the best self catering house we’ve stayed in. Folkestone a real surprise - positive surprise at that, plenty of walks, great location for touring around and a comfortable house to return to.

A relaxing and modern home from home
The stay at Spitfire View was exceptional. The property is clean, modern and has a number of little touches that make you feel home from home.
Communication with Graham and Fiona was prompt and friendly. They gave more recommendations about the local area and provided a high chair and cot to save us space in the car. Nothing seemed to be to much of a problem.
The sun shined all week so we walked to the beach (25mins door to sand) most days, but also enjoyed coming back to sit in the garden and relax on the decking.
Our entire family felt safe, relaxed and absolutely loved our time away. Would 100% recommend a stay.

having stayed at the wonderful Spitfire View last year, we opted to return this year and were equally as happy with our stay in this perfect bungalow. Perfectly positioned with everything you could wish for for the best .. stress free holiday.. parking for 2 cars ( a premium requirement these days ).. A lovely weekend
This comfortable bungalow has every possible amenity. Fiona and Graham were thoughtful and helpful hosts, even providing more than enough groceries—far more than we expected. There is a lovely landscaped garden— and in late October we were able to enjoy late afternoon sunshine on the deck. Splendid! A big thank you to them both.

This really is a lovely property, well furnished & decorated, even the colours felt like home! The location is perfect for walking to the coast, we felt very rested as there was quite a lot to see and do, without the need to travel too far. The garden is immaculate and we loved sitting in all the different seating areas. Attention to detail was second to none, everything you could possibly need was provided, even dishwasher tablets and a wonderful welcome pack of goodies, it all helped us settle and relax very quickly, Thank you Graham & Fiona, we loved it!

What an outstanding property!
From the moment we arrived we realised that we had chosen a winner. The owners Fiona and Graham left nothing to chance. Their attention to detail was amazing.

Superb accomodation
This is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Standards are high, cleanliness high, everything you need is here. You have the best of both worlds here, a superb base for exploring or just relaxing in the house or garden. The beds are very very comfortable and everything was pristine throughout. Amazingly beautiful, comfortable and fully equipped with attention to detail and systematic management.
As good as 5 star boutique property but better if you have kids. Lovely garden area n cherry blossom tree lights up at night which added magical touch to our stay . Overall very happy with the stay and the owners as well.

Perfect home from home getaway
A lovely, well equipped bungalow with a beautiful garden. A great spot to explore SE Kent from and see what Folkestone has on offer - the Old High Street, the Harbour Arm and the Lower Leas Coastal Park all a must. Graham & Fiona were the perfect hosts and the welcome pack with the presents for the kids was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Holiday House
This was an amazing rental property. It had all the amenities we needed to include games for the kids, a fireplace, a kitchen with all the utensils, and even a great backyard with games, chairs, and a grill. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from using the outdoor activities, it makes us want to come back in the summer months to enjoy them. It was a great jumping off point to visit all that Folkstone-Dover-Deal-Cantebury have to offer. We highly recommend this rental and we will try to book it again if we go back to Kent on holiday!

Beautiful luxury bungalow
The property was lovely. Plenty of space and a smart garden and desks. Very well equipped and ultra modern kitchen and bathroom.. Really, a car is needed because its a long walk to the town and beach, and good haul back up!
