My 5-day safari experience with GLITZY SAFARI, expertly organized by Lewis, was nothing short of amazing. The itinerary covered iconic destinations including Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Tarangire, along with a memorable day trip to Materuni Waterfall and Chemka Hot Spring. The entire journey was flawlessly coordinated and well-organized. Our guide was impressively knowledgeable, enhancing the experience with insightful information about the wildlife and surroundings. The safari jeep provided a comfortable and enjoyable ride, while the meals offered were top-notch. The service throughout the trip was truly excellent, making this safari an unforgettable adventure. GLITZY SAFARI and their team, led by Lewis, exceeded all expectations, making this an adventure I'll cherish forever.

The manager was very nice and made me breakfast everyday. He helped with my getting around and made sure I was comfortable.
A little noisy and the area is not the safest but if you are cautious, everything’s fine!

They even made us breakfast at 5:00 in the morning. They showed us whrer to buy beers in the night of arrival
There is nothing around, beside of the little shop with few items. The way there and away took ages, no driver knows (or find easy) the way.

It was amazing! The location is a little bit out there but it's worth it. The local African neighborhood makes it feel so real and lewis is extremely helpful. Thanks for everything man! You should contact him before arriving so he can lead you correctly to the location. Gmaps can't help you. If you wanna experience Africa I highly recommend staying here!

Lewis is a brilliant host. He tries his best to take care of his guests, tries to meet all requirements of guests. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable. Overall property is very clean. Breakfast included in price. Home made delicious dinner is available at very reasonable price. Overall value is very good.
Lewis picked me up from airport. Transfer charge was reasonable and Lewis was already at airport for me.

Everything in this place IS exactly what you want from a hostel (even more than a hotel sometimes).
Lewis (the manager) IS caring of you all the time and making you feel at home, as a local one.
We loved this place, views, vibes and people.
Thanks for this days!

Meru hostel is one of the best hostels I stayed in so far. All the staff is super friendly but the owner, Lewis, goes above and beyond with his approach to the guests. He makes sure everybidy feels comnfortable and safe and is happy to support with arranging different trips, including safari and kilimanjaro trek, at very good prices.
The place was clean and comfortable. We booked for 3 nights and ended up regretting not booking it for longer. The atmosphere is super social and this is just really good place to hang out with other travellers.
The location can be a bit tricky to find but again, Lewis will make sure your taxi driver gets all the direction. The off the central location also ensures the place is safe and quiet but is also close enough to take a quick dala dala ride to all good places.
There is an option to have dinner at the hostel as well and we definitely recommend as the food was always fresh and tasty.
Wifi is slightly limited but Lewis is already working on making it better :)

There is a good relation between quality and price. Nothing luxury but clean and tidy. The room was quite spacious and illuminated. The beds were very comfortable. There is a big garden and also a balcony with a coulple os sofas. The breakfast was delicios, cofe or tea, tostas, omelete, peanut butter and fruit... so good.
However, the best of Meru Hostel is the owner, Lewis. From the beginning he tried to help us in everything. He booked for us the excursions to the Mount Meru and the Kilimanjaro. Moreover 3 days of safari: Tarangire, Manyara Lake and Ngorongoro crater. And all of those things overcome our expectations. We would repeat
Honestly, I can't say anything bad about Meru Hostel.

We are a couple from Europe and stayed in Meru hostel for 6 days. Lewis, the owner welcomed us so friendly and is one of the nicest people we met in Tanzania! He is very professional and knows how to make the guests feel welcome and at home.
We came to Arusha to also do a Safari but had a hard time finding a good deal. Lewis helped us to find a group for a Safari and we ended up having the best days and a perfect experience!
The prices at Meru hostel are very good and the people are amazing and helpful in any way!
We loved the location! It’s easy to get to the city center and at the same time it is such a peaceful area to relax and rest from traveling. :) We felt very safe and taking care of!
Thank you all so much for the nice time! We will come back! <3
Nothing!
