Great views from back of property. Happy with location. Hot, powerful shower. Kitchen reasonably well equipped, ample storage and cooker very clean. Dining area led to cute patio - hydrangeas in full bloom.. Comfy lounge with plenty of local info / Cornwall brochures. Cleanliness at high standard and dust free rooms :)
I liked everything but can understand double mattress may be a little soft for some. Noted some ceiling marks on back bedrooms, shower room - could be gutters? External utility cupboard door needs a fix. Kept falling off when winds blew.

The Location was perfect for access to Padstow harbour centre and the Camel Trail and bus connections to other areas of Cornwall. The Key safe is a great benefit for security and safety. The shower is wonderful and roomy. Excellent gas water boiler means you get constant and almost immediate hot water. Always good to have Wi-fi connection that works as this does very well. Kitchen seems to be a new kitchen with plenty of space and reasonably well equipped.
Unfortunately, the house does need some updating and renovating. As per previous comment in the book, there are no curtains over essential windows and doors downstairs, and although the bathroom window is frosted, nevertheless you are overlooked by houses the other side of the side passage. You feel a little exposed especially at night with lights on.
The floor-lamp in the living room is dangerous the bulb is hanging from screw in connection by electrical wires. It does not work, but it still may hold current.
The Iron needs replacing as there is no water cover to stop hot water coming out whilst ironing.
The bookshelf under the television in the living room is sloping forward as the carpet grips make it unsteady. If someone was to lean on it, it could easily fall forward. Usually, they are secured to the wall at the top to keep level and secure.
The electric kettle is missing its filter screen from the spout.
There was a strong damp musky odour upstairs. We found that it was coming from the small bedroom opposite the bathroom. The wooden bedframe has a strong odour and the bed cover had faint white dusty spots on the surface which also emitted a similar smell. The window to that room has a milky mist on it which suggests that there is a damp issue.
The cooker hobs in the kitchen didn't seem to have been cleaned as there is no hob cleaner provided.
The mop and bucket had been put back in the cupboard under the stairs still wet. These too were beginning to smell. They were cleaned placed outside to dry and then put back.
There were live silverfish in the bedside cabinet of the master bedroom and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and under the radiator.
The downstairs carpet could really do with a clean as there were a number of spill marks and black stains.
The information booklet could probably do with a fresh update. Where is the laptop safe?
We are really sorry to raise all these issues because the house has got incredible potential. It needs some TLC.

Good location, very close to Tescos - within easy walking distance - and close to town.
No dishwasher, no welcome from owner which is rare,
5.0 / 5.0
The cottage was lovely and clean and very well equipped. The location was great only 10 minutes walk to the harbour. A very well stocked Tesco was only 10 minutes walk away.
We went as two adults, I had the double bed that was very comfy. My sister had the single bed and she found that very hard. She had to pad it out with the duvet off the bunk beds. Also a couple of sun loungers would have been great to use in the very private back garden.
