We had an experience we’ll never forget.

This property is very old. It’s a wooden house I believe from the 18th century. It’s furnished in a style reminiscent of the early 20th Century. It is extremely quirky. Probably very different from anywhere you’ve ever stayed but go with the flow. It’s weird but in a good way. We had the best nights’ sleep of our whole trip here. It’s family run. They’ve been there for generations and are very friendly. We also ate in their restaurant and enjoyed the traditional food. Order breakfast, you won’t be disappointed.

A lot of reviews mention the toilet (singular) and I agree with those comments. And the showers.

Best place on our trip from Oslo to Nordkapp by bicycle!

Owner of the camp was so nice and he helped me with information about ferry and some locations around Kilboghamn. Nice place, amazing people. I will come back soon, definitely!

Charming guesthouse

The location is beautiful and it's a charming family guesthouse. Everything was very clean and the premisses were comfortable. We slept in the priests room.

We satyed at the same time as a family of six, we were two and there was only ONE toilet available. I think it was too little. Long waiting.

Extraordinary experience in a historic place.

I had an exceptional experience at Handelsstedet Forvik. Hanne's personal attention and kindness are extraordinary. My room (the kabinettet) looked directly out to the water and was amazing. How often do you get to sleep in a building that was built in 1750 and has been under a single family's care for four generations? Breakfast was delicious, too. I really hope to be back some day. It was a charming site on the fjord and very convenient to the ferry.

This is a very charming historical property and the proprietress was very informative and helpful.

It is a historical property so sized of doorways etc. reflect that.
