We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pump. The accommodation is very well appointed and extremely comfortable, we could not have asked the more. Its location is ideally placed for the Coastal Path and visiting local attractions.

An outstanding property, in a great location. Plenty of space and very comfortable.

The location of this property is great. Just a 5 to 10 minute walk to a lovely cove, great for a quick walk every morning or evening. Five minute drive from Solva. Great location to explore the surrounding area. We loved Newgale beach. I paid on the parking app before we went each time, alternatively take cash.
The property was clean, but not spotless. A deep clean would be good with attention to detail such as skirting boards, sockets and picture frames. All the beds and pillows were lovely and comfortable. Note the double bed (upstairs) is very low (just off the floor). The lounge upstairs was light and airy. Downstairs was quite dark and a bit damp smelling. The two bedrooms downstairs got very cold (in August) and the bedding felt damp late at night though the thick duvets kept the children warm. The downstairs shower and toilet were combined with a utility sink with washing machine. This room could do with a rethink. The toilet by the back door was a bit strange. The shower was in a dark corner and was only used once as the tray was very slow emptying. We didn't contact the owners (who live locally) as we like our privacy on holiday. Having a washing machine is great, but it was really hard to dry washing. The garden had a washing line but it was rarely in the sun and the heated radiator towels did not work. The garden was very noisy from the main road so we didn't spend much time in it other than to toilet our little dog. A tumble dryer would be a great asset. The large kitchen diner was very well equipped, a separate freezer would be good for those staying for longer periods. The dishwasher was very welcome! The kitchen island and dining table were great for laying out maps and planning trips. We didn't use the stove downstairs as it was summer. The vacuum was very good, but I couldn't figure out how to empty it and it was very smelly (of other people's dogs). Not sure if it was a vacuum with a bag. The upstairs bathroom and kitchen cupboards could do with an update but were functional. We enjoyed our stay in Pembrokeshire. We visited Dobby's grave (Harry Potter), the Bug Farm, the Blue Lagoon (and much more) and spent a lot of time at Newgale beach which is about 20 minute drive. An ice cream van is at the beach, be prepared for high prices as well as the little cabin near the camping site, but we were on holiday so didn't mind paying!

Beautiful New year...
Highly recommend for those wanting a good base for adventuring, the coastal path is right at your doorstep, the nearest towns have restaurants and shops. The property is cosy, warm and the owner goes above and beyond to accommodate. We were greeted with tea, coffee, sugar, a box full of fresh vegetables, a small milk, orange juice and a wood supply for the log burner. Kitchen/cooking facilities were spot on, 2 bathrooms with towels provided, 3 small but comfy bedrooms with bed linen. Thank you x

Unique, comfortable cottage
From the location close to the rugged coast and the historic nature of the building, to the basket of fresh vegetables and the milk and juice ready in the fridge, this was a special place to spend our holiday. The host had taken care to provide all we would need. Two of the party needed to 'work from home' during the trip, and the upstairs lounge and downstairs dining area provided the separate space they needed - we found the internet connection was fine too. We were delighted with our stay.

Perfect break
Enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, well equipped cottage, cosy and spacious. Appreciated the welcome pack, milk, tea, coffee, Welsh cakes, veg etc. Very thoughtful owners lived nearby. The location was ideal for walking the coat path or catching a bus to St David S or Solva if you were less energetic.

Wonderful cottage
A beautiful well appointed and spotlessly clean cottage. Equipped with everything you could need, almost like home from home. Lovely welcome fruit basket, tea/coffee supplies and fresh vegetables from the farm. Good walks to the coast and a short drive to pubs/restaurants in St Davids and Solva. I would highly recommend.

Fabulous coastal stay
What a great place with full of history. Really nice configuration and you can see they made the most of the space. Kitchen dis ownstairs and living room upstairs- my personal preference is to have them in the same level. Bedrooms on the small side, but we only used them for sleeping and spent most days exploring. Kitchen very functional with all you need. Lovely touch from the owner to leave a large basket of vegetables, tea/coffee, milk, juice. Close to a shingles beach 5-10 mins walk.

Lovely location, thoughtful hosts
The Pump is very well located to enjoy beautiful Solva, St David’s and further afield. We were greeted by Douglas who showed us around the house and gardens. Our host very thoughtfully provided fresh fruit and veg from the farm shop, and fresh milk which was a lovely touch. We also made full use of the beach equipment and barbecue available in the shed. We enjoyed our stay, making the most of the local coastal walks and easy access to the St David’s Peninsula.
