It was ok. Wished they had A/C. Spiders were present in the house and shower needed to be cleaned better, body hairs were present. TV’s need satellite access. Netflix was the only thing available.

Area was quiet and quaint. Home was in good condition and perfect for our families stay. Kitchen was stocked for cooking. Would recommend and would stay again.

Other than the nosy (but kind) elderly woman neighbor who stopped by unannounced a few times and a visit from a bear, this is a lovely home and secluded for privacy. We were visited by a young adult male brown bear and it tore into three unsecured trash cans. House needs some more secure trash enclosure to keep them out. The house is great though and the hot tub is super clean and everything is comfortable. Full kitchen, nicely stocked pantry and comfy beds.

A family of 4, 4yo and 2yo, and 2 dogs. We loved our stay! We went to the salmon river one day, mirror lake another, then trillium lake, Timberline lodge and lastly zig zag falls. The girls loved the hot tub and the cozy loft most. My husband and I loved the sauna and the deck. It was cozy and just what we needed! Thank you for such precious memories

The cabin was a great place to stay for a few nights. There were some great hikes nearby and the area around there is beautiful. The days were very hot when we were there but the cabin itself wasn't way too hot, though it did deter us from using the hot tub. I'm sure it'd be a very nice place to be in the winter too.

We had a great trip and this cabin was close to everything we wanted to do! Nice views and cabin was as described. Vacasa was easy to work with and even helped us get a power cord and headset we left behind.

It was perfect for what we needed. A couple fixit needs but overall well taken care of. Very low shower for a 6 foot tall person. Not even chest level. That is about my only knock on the place. Beautiful overall

This place was pretty simple, but the fact that it was on such a great viewpoint was incredible. There was a great outdoors space with a gas grill, hot tub, fire pit, and lots of deck area.

Excellent location, great view, clean. Hot tub could have been hotter, wasn't ideal.

This property is a quaint place to get away and enjoy some nature. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet and feeling of privacy. And the hot tub and sauna were great after a day enjoying nature

Just what my wife & I needed: a quiet, cozy retreat far from the noise of our holiday-stressed jobs.
Kitchen was extremely well equipped with a decent pantry of staples.

My mom and I came for a quick girls trip. We loved this little cabin. The hot tub was such a bonus! The cabin was so cozy, especially with the fireplace. The neighbors are close, however we never heard them or saw them. The view is beautiful as well. It rained during our trip which made us want to curl up under a blanket and enjoy watching the rain fall through the large windows in the living room. There wasn’t any service at the house, but the wifi was fast. It is a short drive to Welches and a 15 minute drive to Sandy. Would highly recommend.

Overall the house was in decent shape. Kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook meals. As others have mentioned, the floor boards are in desperate need of attention, we moved rugs around to cover all the areas where they were sticking up to avoid tripping. The hot tub was great! Clean and plenty of towels provided for use. Disappointed that the sauna was out of order during our stay and that we were not notified prior to checking in. Would also have appreciated knowing that a burn ban is currently in place which meant we couldn't use the fire pit. Beds are not the greatest, they are a bit lumpy and uncomfortable.

The positive part of this place was the views. The place has a great deck. I stubbed my foot on the warped floor a few times. It was pretty dusty, we had to wash the comforter from the upstairs bed there was some kind of stain on it, same with the carpets they had some stains. If you stay in the downstairs room you can hear anything and everything going on upstairs. The place is super cute just some things that needs some work. We almost got snowed in and the driveway is super steep.

First I would like to point out that the cleanliness was not up to par.
Dog hair was on the floor and dirt was all over by the sliding door.
No directions were given on the jacuzzi. Although this jacuzzi was easy to operate it was unable to raise temperature, so we were stuck with a warm jacuzzi.
No directions were given about where the trash bags were located so we had to reach out to property management to bring some.
The sauna was defiantly not hot enough . We let sit both days and night and it did not get past 155.
The sink in the upstairs bathroom was broken. The property manager didn’t bother to let us know until one hour before our arrival.
The music player on the wall ONLY plays cd’s so make sure to bring your CD case.
The tv did not have basic cable which was also unfortunate.
We attempted to play some board games but the pieces were missing to the monopoly.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable l, everyone in my group had back pains the next day. Also, the sheets feel like sand paper on your body.
You don’t want to open up the curtains because the neighbors are soo close and intrusive.
The place smelled like gas when cooking which was alarming.
All of the furniture is super old and uncomfortable. This place is deceiving.
Customer service was terrible,
Casey the property manager stopped replying to my text messages . I would not recommend this place to anyone.
We spent a lot of money here and we expected something a little more kept up .

Such a vibe. Love the fire place and has a great layout. We had an amazing time, and there was lots of seating for all of us. Kitchen is pretty stocked, which was so nice! The only things we would change are: the floor is coming up (big trip hazard, we stubbed our toes a lot), no oven mits, hottub was a bit dirty (just bugs and stuff), and kitchen has everything but baking sheets. overall amazing tho, we’d come back!
Note: weird boy statue in the front area - we named him Nathan

The place was dirty, cob/spider webs all over, floors were bowing and coming up all over, tripping hazards! Bad experience!

Yes drive from portland. Great cabin, well stocked, hot tub fun with perfect view. Owners def need a bear box for trash cans. Neighborhood bear made lots of appearances for known trash can access . Would def stay again !!!

Comfy and welcoming A-Frame home nestled in the woods. Wonderful star viewing while in the hot tub or relaxing on the 3 level deck. Was exactly what we were wanting - a get away from the city and all the light pollution - for some fresh air and amazing milky way views!

We were a tad worried after I looked at reviews about this house.. We we’re pleasantly surprised.. The house was very nice.. The only complaint was it was so hot in the house ..Need bigger fans . No air flow at all.. Would go back to this house .. and need a umbrella for outdoor table.. Otherwise a Great house..

The house location is good. There is a road below the residence and not a lot of traffic. The beds are not comfortable at all, and bring your own pillows because those are terrible as well. It’s good for unplugging.

The view from this property was gorgeous, otherwise I would have left. Upon arrival, there was dog hair on the carpets, floor and blankets. The hot tub had algae and debris in it - which was a big reason I booked it because it was the main picture with the view and hot tub. The fire gas stove that is supposed to heat the main room wouldn't light. The wall control said it was better to use that to heat the main room. So it was 60 degrees. I had to call twice to get management to send someone to come and fix it. The other biggie is that the garbage was left in the outside container from the previous guests. I heard noise in the night, and so I went to look out the kitchen window and there was a BEAR!!! Garbage was strewn all over. Granted I am a city person, so not very accustomed to bears. Needless to say, I was terrified. When the maintenance person came to fix the heat, he brought he garbage up to the top of the hill. The next day, the neighbor appeared at my door and complained the bear had broken the garbage door along the road and I shouldn't have put it there. I explained I did not do that. Someone collected the garbage and put it back on my patio. The bear returned the next night and did the same thing. Needless to say, hanging outside in the hot tub was not very inviting as it was 10ft from the garbage. There was also garbage strewn behind the shed where I parked my car. So, clearly there is a bear issue. And since I was alone, it was difficult for me to relax between the bears, the garbage and the neighbors who were upset. I emailed on day 1 about the heat and never received an email back. I will not be staying here again.

We had a great time at the cabin. The amenities were great, we enjoyed both the sauna and hot tub most days if our stay. The location is perfect! We were able to access multiple hikes, the mountain passes for snowboarding and went into Maupin to find the sun.
I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing view & cabin, not a good sleep
We've stayed here twice, once in summer and once in winter. 5 star view, private in winter, great deck and hot tub, loved the ambiance and gas fireplace. The main floor bedroom's mattress is sagging and lumpy, at the end of its life. We didn't sleep well and left our vacation tired, which is a deal breaker for future stays here as the mattress was noticeably worse the second stay. For the premium price, we should have a decent mattress to sleep on. Otherwise, we love this place! In summer there are some issues however: there is no way to block the sun coming in the 2 story windows, making the cabin a hot house that didn't cool down much at night. Window fans are needed for both bedroom's windows and some way to block the hot, afternoon sun on the living room picture windows. One other issue for summer is the neighbors, who were working on their cars just a few feet from the deck, leaving them idling and gas fumes driving us inside, where it was hot! No relief. It is really designed as a winter cabin. If I owned this place, I'd put a fence up on the lot line to block out the neighbors cars, trash piles, noise and (somewhat) exhaust fumes.

We are extremely disappointed with our stay.
First I would like to point out the cleanliness was not up to par. Dog was all over the floor upon arrival.
By the sliding door there wad a pile of dirt. There was a dirty fork in the dishes so we had to clean again prior of eating

Okay. Not great.
Our group can have fun anywhere, so the negatives of this place didn’t impede our good time. And the kitchen is well stocked, so it made it easy for us to cook at home which is generally how we like to do things. The hot tub is gross and murky. We read the review about it being “very clean” - this was not our experience. In fact two members of our group woke up with styes on their eyelids after being in the hot tub and that’s when we looked at the water in daylight and regretted ever being in it. The beds are terribly uncomfortable and the futon wasn’t made up when we arrived. There are zero instructions, as others have mentioned, and absolutely no way to contact a property manager in case of emergency. But, if you’re a group who can have fun anywhere, this place is fine. The heat works, the couches are comfortable and the view is pretty good.

We really enjoyed this quiet and clean cabin, and we would definitely return for another stay.

A nice quiet getaway
This home is outside of town and not within safe walking distance of town. The home and hot tub were very clean and well kept. The internet is strong and suitable for remote office work. Our only negative is we wish we had known the cell service is extremely spotty. You need to have wi-fi calling if you want to use your cell phone.

Nice cabin in the woods
Checks a lot of boxes. Dog friendly. Nice amenities. Only downside is a close-by residence which is a bit of an eyesore.

The view was lovely with lots of deck furniture to enjoy it. The furniture was comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked with everything to cook with. It was really clean.
Our disappointments were
1) strong smell of gas when using the stove and having to keep the window open when cooking
2) No instruction of how to use the upstairs streaming system. One of the remotes batteries were dead and the other were very low with a message actually on the TV screen. The volume would only go up to a certain point and would not go any further, possibly related to the remote, but not sure. We ended up using one of our own computers.
3) We found there was no cell service for a good part of the time we were there. I believe guests should be warned they might not be able to make or receive calls.

The view was lovely and the accomodations were really nice. Our complaints were: No instructions for anything. No instruction on how to use their TV equipment, no instructions for the hot tub, when using the stove there was the odor of gas to the point the window had to be opened each time. When trying to use the upstairs television we found the batteries in the remotes were dead or almost dead. We especially appreciated the gas fireplace. The hours to check in and check out seemed too late and too early compared to other places we have stayed.

Incredible view off back deck & lovely home
We had a small handfasting ceremony on the back deck & had a photographer there with us. It rained, there was mist in the mountains, the fall leaves just starting to turn. It's a truly beautiful view looking out towards the mountains! Old Salmon River Trail is less than 10 minutes away in the Mt Hood National Forest and provided an excellent location for our engagement photo session. The kitchen has a nice quality range and all the cookware you could want to use, but we wished there were more in-house spices to choose from to make food taste good. We could not get the hot tub to warm up after the 1st night and there were no instructions on how the settings worked so that was a bit confusing/disappointing, but overall this was a nice, romantic reservation.
