About this house rental
Hosted rental permit #231268. Own entrance, ocean view from yard and bed. Hot tub is available for an extra fee. It is next to the Sunroom on the 3rd floor of the home. There is also a BBQ, firepit, lounging areas, tables. Your beach studio has a private covered patio with a refrigerator, and coffee maker. Nice quiet neighborhood. Beach access is 6 to 8 blocks away on Beachgate Way. The stairs will lead you to the State Beach. You can walk or drive. Free parking is by the stairs leading to the beach. When you first arrive, park in the driveway. Your studio is behind the brown gate to the left. I will leave the key in the studio door for you if you tell me around the time of your arrival. No other visitors are guests are allowed, security deposit may be withheld. When you first inquire about the studio, please tell me a bit about yourself or your situation. Your studio yard has seating and a BBQ for your use only. Washer and dryer upon request, or anything else you may need, ice, more coffee, etc. just ask!! Early check-in or late check-out is $20. an hour.

Lovely view studio unit with outdoor kitchen in Aptos Very.artsy and whimsical decor. Host is very sweet and communicative. Nice area away from the crowds but still close to everything that Santa Cruz has to offer.

Driving up to the house I knew this was going to be amazing. Gorgeous and very unique home! You enter through a bold yet beautiful artsy gate. The groundsare spectacular. We stayed in the bungalow in the back of the house. After walking through a few adorable gates and a very fun display of local art and mermaid statues youare hit with a spectacular view of the ocean. Like unbelievable views in all directions. Loung chairs, observation table and chairs right on the fence line. We were there quite a bit. In the evening we enjoyed sitting around a big fire pit. Now for the indoors. Now this was right up my alley. Bohemian meets artsy and a bit of african art. Gorgeous decor, drapes and a FABULOUS bathroom. Artysy tiled tub and and shower reminded me of a lagoon. A special thank you gift in a basket from our gracious hostess. This place had everything inside and out you could possibly need. If you forgot something, it was there. We will be back forever. I wish! Thank you, Tom & Suzi King

Our hostess was attentive to our needs --including a welcoming sign, and assistance with operating the barbecue and fire pit.Beautiful gardens , incredible ocean view and sound of the ocean contributed to a wonderful dinner on the large backyard patio.The house was easily accessible but the studio and patio had a sense of seclusion.We were in a wonderful quiet place of art, color and nature .Many thanks to our hostess.

Thank you for the stay with the amazing views overlooking the ocean. The studio was decorate so cute as well and it was super peaceful to stay here. My honey Ayasha was craving cheesecake and we opened the fridge and there was a delicious blueberry cheesecake there. Thank you for adding the special touches to the room before our arrival. We would 100% stay here again in the future!

My partner and I reserved this studio from Jeanell for our 5 year anniversary and if we had to use 1 word to describe the experience and location it would be: Enchanting! Jeanell was such a wonderful host, everything from the outdoor patio to the cute kitchenette to the bathroom and bed, you can really tell that every detail was placed with intention. She was incredibly inviting and hospitable, and made our stay magical! She has 2 very cute and friendly dogs who also added a nice charm and warmth to the experience. The studio we stayed in had a breathtaking view of the ocean from our bed and bathroom, and our private yard was spacious and clean, with plenty of areas to lounge and soak in the sun. The rooftop hot tub area was one of our favorite locations, offering a 360* view of the ocean and beach. This was a trip of a lifetime and one we will certainly not forget, and we look forward to staying here again!

The place was a nice little studio. It was very cozy. The location is top notch. To be able to take ten steps and have sweeping ocean views was amazing. It was so lovely to watch the sun set at one end of the bay and rise on the other. Falling asleep to the gentle sound of crashing waves was so peaceful. The walls are thin but everyone was respectful and kept things quiet. If you're looking for a night or two by the beach, this is the place for you!

The views were just breathtaking! The room itself was nice but we found ourselves in the yard the entire time soaking up the ocean views. Would definitely go back again!

My husband and I spent two glorious weeks at Jeanellâs and loved every minute of it! Jeanell was the consummate host, immediately available and responsive if we had a question or needed anything, but completely unobtrusive. We couldnât get over the panoramic views of the ocean, spent many mornings enjoying coffee on the huge patio. King-sized bed was super comfy. Lots of nearby great restaurants. Wonderful stay. Very cluttered and was underneath the house? The bed was very uncomfortable. Fortunately we only needed for one night. Not much to do in the area and you have to pay to go to the beach. Odd?

This listing was better than you can imagine. The view is surreal itâs so beautiful. The host Jeanell really puts in effort to ensure her guests have a great stay. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be returning.

This property was the nicest that I have ever stayed! The balcony overlooking the ocean was absolutely incredible and you can hear the waves while you fall asleep. The owner was so thoughtful in putting little extra amenities in the room to make it really feel like home, and she even left me a gift basket! I also loved the decor and the hottub upstairs. Everything was so lovely. It was a little windy and cold at times, but that's NorCal I suppose haha. I hope to go again someday!

Loved the ocean view. The setup with refrigerator, table& chairs outdoors and microwave in inconvenient spot didnât work for us. Also a single wooden chair does not work for 2 guest.

We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed Jeanell's funky and fun studio. We appreciated some amenities that made it extra cozy - a small fireplace, robes, glassware, and a coffee station. One thing to note - we didn't actually use the shower but there are special instructions to heat the water so just make sure to read and follow them. We only stayed one night and wished we'd had more time to enjoy the patio and ocean view, and maybe even reserve the hot tub! Next time! Thanks, Jeanell!

Deborah & I had to cancel a long-planned kayak trip in British Columbia due to both ending up covid positive in the week before departure. During recovery we decided to kayak in Monterey Bay for a week. This Aptos vrbo was a truly wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable & set beautifully high above the beach. Great outdoor terrace for views of sunsets. The host provided everything we could possibly need. We will definitely stay there again.

Great place. Jeanelle was awesome and went way beyond to ensure the stay was unique and luxe. The view was awesome, the ocean rolling was the best tranquilizer ever, the place was clean as could be, the amenities were complex and comprehensive. Really recommend this place.

We found the property for a last minute get away and we couldn't have been more pleased. The communication with Jeanell the property owner was great and the overall condition of the studio was fantastic. Can't forget to mention how beautiful the view is as well! Highly recommend you check it out.

We had a great two nights in this quirky studio - we loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Everything we clean and easy. A bit of a walk to the nearest beach but well worth it. Would definitely go back again.

Restful outdoor patio overlooking ocean and Seacliff Beach. Well appointed and furnished studio with outdoor breakfast area. Spent most of my time on the deck looking at the views and the stars in the evening.

Location, location, location- on a cliff overlooking the beach! Ocean waves to relax you while going to sleep. Lots of patio area and a very nice seating near the cliff- beautiful view of the coastline! Would come here again in a heartbeat! My honey says the same!

At the Beach
Wifey and I needed a break. We live in the North Valley in California where the summers are blistering. We decided a nice stay at the ocean was appropriate. You'll note that this listing is a studio. It would be better described as an artist's vision of a beach studio. It probably would work better for a single person due to the massive quantity of art/kitsch involved in decorating the place. We adored staying here getting into someone else's vision. Lots of plant power too. The location is at the top of a cliff right on the ocean so you get an unfettered view of the water.
Our only suggestion would be better facilities to clean up our mess from making coffee (there is an electric maker available). Would love a tiny outdoor sink instead of 2 gas grills.
Be prepared to vanish into another vibe during your stay here. We loved the place.

Two nights away. â didnât stay on property - just used as a place to sleep after a family gathering in LaSelva. Amenities were nice. Very interesting place to stay. Weâd come back.

Total breeze. Well stocked with anything you left behind. Loved the outdoor coffee bar and fridge. THE most comfortable bed I ever did sleep in.
