Fantastic and comfortable cottage. Easy to find a few minutes from supermarkets etc. Well equipped kitchen and super lounge.
Couldn't get the dishwasher to work! probably my fault.

Very comfortable and cosy.
Struggled finding somewhere so accommodating to dogs and this place was perfect, fence and tall gate around the property made us feel at ease for our young dog to roam.

Really well equipped with everything you’d want for a perfect stay. Warm and cosy with open fire in the sitting room. Lovely south facing patio garden where we had breakfast on a couple of mornings. Dog friendly - Jasper loved it! Lots of great walks within half an hour’s drive. Dawn is a great host, really friendly and accommodating. Loved our stay here.
Nothing - it was all great. Only thing I can complain about is that we didn’t stay long enough!

Absolutely everything was perfect, we couldn't have asked for more. The finish was to such a high standard and the personal touch of the dog treats and bowls were greatly appreciated! The cottage was very dog friendly rather than dog tolerable like a lot of other places are, it made for a much more relaxed and enjoyable stay!
The only slight negative was that the shower screen is a bit small so the bathroom can get a bit wet when showering.

Beautifully presented cottage, felt very warm and welcoming, a real home feel! It was very clean, with everything you need for stay away, facilities were great and was very well looked after! will definitely be back!!
It was a very windy Saturday night and the open fire place made a bit of a draft, but under the circumstances was understandable and couldn’t be helped.

Me & my family booked woodend cottage for a new year break, the cottage was absolutely immaculate. The cottage also had everything in it that you would need, with all the utensils available to cook in the cottage (with a separate dinning room to enjoy) or having the option to use local takeaway and restaurants near by.
This cottage gave us what we were looking for, a lovely family getaway with lovely relaxing views and walks but also close by to the town centre for all the local amenities.
We will definitely book woodend cottage in the near future.
Lisa.

The location - just a bit out of town - makes the cottage a great and quiet retreat. The tasteful decor makes this a very cosy little place to sit back and enjoy the Christmas break. Having the sheep come up right up to the hedge makes the morning so refreshing. The cottage has everything to make a wonderful stay. The fully-equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze. Having Alexa to keep one company in the kitchen also makes it really pleasant. On the warmer days, he stable door in kitchen adds to the cosy touch. The French doors in the living room give a wonderful view of land around the cottage. As it was winter, the working fireplace in the living room adds to make Christmas even more wonderful. Heating within the cottage was on point making even the coldest nights perfectly snug and comfy.
If the place is already so comfortable in winter, it must be wonderful during the other seasons, especially summer when we can sit outdoors and enjoy the summer night.. This makes it paramount to make another visit during summer. Guess I need to book the place early for summer to avoid disappointment.
Dawn has been a fantastic, responsive, friendly host who constantly makes sure that all is well with our stay.

Dawn was very helpful straight away and even did a bit of shopping for us as we were delayed because of a cancelled train. On arrival the cottage was spotless and looked beautiful in an amazing location in the countryside but not too far away from the main town either. There was a lovely hamper waiting for us aswell! I couldn't recommend it highly enough and would definitely return!

The cottage is situated near all sorts of amenities however it is out on its own and the views are amazing. It is presented really well and was absolutely immaculate. The property also has lots of little extras left by the host, there were lots of clean towels etc, 3 different types of coffee making facilities (which impressed my husband) and plenty of crockery and cookware to create your own meal. There was nothing which could have made this cottage any better. Will definitely visit again!

The property was ideally located for where we wanted to visit. It was well maintained with plenty of parking and lovely views out to the surrounding countryside.
There was nothing that detracted from the enjoyment of our stay.
