ABOUT THE OWNERS
Jam Lodge has been in our family for almost 70 years. It has been enjoyed by us for four generations. Nearly all the properties in our bay are occupied by the families of the original owners, that built the cottages here. Our children have grown up and played with the children of the friends we grew up with. As did our parents, making this cottage a place filled with lots of memories and great stories. This makes our little island community a great place to visit and the atmoshphere is family friendly, and laid back.
May you also love this place as much as we do, we look forward to you coming back year after year.

We had the best three days of weather of the whole summer!

An absolutely beautiful spot. Clean, and so cozy! We loved the walkability to the rock quarry, and bikes provided for beautiful fall bike rides. This is a spot I can't over rave about because it's SUCH a Jem! Perfect for family and friends!

This house was perfect for me and my college girlfriends to gather for a long weekend! The weather was not great so we didn't get to take advantage of the kayak/canoe/paddleboards, but there were games and books and plenty of chatting to keep us occupied. We did manage to soak in some good lake views from the Adirondack chairs in moments of sun. The well stocked kitchen also came in very handy for all of the cooking we did. Would definitely recommend!

Great property with beach access. Plenty of water items to enjoy. We had. A short visit but would certainly stay at this property for a week.

I live in Idaho and this is my daughter's 3rd year teaching in the Burlington area. We have made it a tradition for me to come in the Fall for a visit and for us to have a "girls' weekend" somewhere special. This stay was truly a blessing, not only did we make wonderful memories for ourselves, but you could feel the happiness that has lived in those walls for 75 years. We want to go back with more of our family to share it with them.

This is a great place to come with friends or family. They are bunk beds, but big enough and comfortable. The house is well equipped and easy to move around. The water is right there, and lots of fun!

We spent a full week with our three young boys (10,7,4) and my parents. The garage is well stocked with everything a young boy could dream of to keep them active and entertained. Adults can enjoy the serenity of this quaint, quiet location with many different locations to relax and enjoy the view of Champlain. We really enjoyed our daily exploration of the immediate surrounding area on bike, foot and boat and the house is stocked with everything you need. An absolute gem, we love it!

Excellent family lake home
I have been vacationing here for over 30 years with my children. They absolutely love it and this is why they always want to come back no matter how old they are. They love to boat and use their JetSki’s. The fishing is great with the boat or just from the dock and shore. The place is so peaceful with beautiful sunsets. The large living room is great for late nite games before bed. Kitchen has everything you need to cook great meals for your family.
Like I said I have been coming here for along time and the improvements this family has made over the years have been great upgrades. Well done!! Just an excellent place to be. Love it and will keep coming back with my kids and hopefully grandchildren in the future.

Summer Vacation
My husband and I along with 3 teenage boys stayed for 1 week. The place was everything we expected. Nice yard for lawn games, we rode bikes, visited the quarry. Water was great for swimming and we did some kayaking. I look forward to returning next year!

Perfect Location and Lovely Cottage
The spectacular views won us over right away. What a wonderful getaway right on the lake with a private beach area, equipped with kayaks, paddle boards, canoe and more. The water was great. JAM Lodge is lovely and is located in a nice quiet area, right next door to a quarry preserve and access to the 400,000 year old rocks and fossils. So much to explore! We loved the spacious living room, and the kitchen has every utensil you might need. We also made use of all the literature about the island. We enjoyed the outdoor shower. We could easily have stayed another week. Thank you for making this family cottage available.

Fun family getaway!
The kids and I had a great time at JAM Lodge for the long weekend. We enjoyed some canoeing and looking for fossils at the Fisk preserve. One day we took a trip to Ausable Chasm in NY and had a nice time there. Overall, a beautiful cabin located in a great spot. The property is well cared for and the host has provided all the essentials that you need for an easy vacation. I hope to make it back sometime 😊

Exceeded our expectations!
We had a wonderful weekend on Isle La Motte! The location was fantastic. Wonderful views, lots of extras such as kayaks, beach chairs, and bicycles, gave use so many options for activities without getting in the car. The house was perfect. Plenty of sleeping space, and a large living room with tons of seating and big windows overlooking the lake. The hosts were easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. We couldn’t have been happier with this property.

Wonderful week at Jam Lodge
We had a great week at the cabin with amazing views of the lake! We had great weather and we were able to take full advantage of the lake. It was great having access to the kayaks and paddle boards. It was also a beautiful area for biking.

Lots of entertainment
While the kitchen door lock was difficult to open originally and impossible to use through the week, most aspects of the cottage were very agreeable. We rented this cottage and another nearby. This cottage offered excellent water access and "toys" for the lake. The bikes could use annual tune-ups. The kitchen was well-equipped. Someone needs to write instructions for using the indoor shower handle; it's not a turn like most handles. We used this place for quiet activities indoors, so some folks could stay in touch with their employers. A great choice but not for 10 who could sleep there when there's only one bathroom.

Summer Solitude
Jam Lodge was a great stay for our family. Isle LaMotte was an end of the road, quiet, relaxing place to vacation. Hosts were great and the whole process was seamless. Kids had a great time, swimming, playing in the yard, paddle boarding and eating outside on the picnic table. If you looking for quiet place to relax and get away from the business of life this spot can't be beat.

Beautiful and Cozy
Jam Lodge is charming and beautifully appointed. Feels like you're in a family cottage - which you are! Extremely clean, organized, and lots of thoughtful touches. The house binder has great info a little house history.
The view of the lake is spectacular. The lawn and the beach offer lots of room for games & lounging. Beautiful, well-maintained property.
My family owns a cabin in NH similar to this one - also about 75 years old and in our family since the 1930s. We were set to be there for our post-COVID reunion this weekend, but an unexpected windstorm felled several trees and destroyed the roof. Repairs are underway, and the house will be OK, but we can't use the property right now. Not being able to be in our special place this weekend, Jam Lodge was our alternative. What a fantastic choice. Felt familiar and like being home. Would highly recommend Liz's place. The location and amenities are unbeatable and the house itself is warm and welcoming. Thanks!!

Excellent in all ways
Homey cabin with excellent amenities and grand view of Lake Champlain. A long distance from popular places, which is just what we were looking for. Enjoyed the watercraft and biking, and appreciated the cabin having all of the cooking needs. Honestly could not have asked for anything more.
