About this apartment rental
Imagine opening the doors in this freshly renovated apartment from the living room into a tranquil cedar forest; being lulled to sleep by the soothing sound of Fitzsimmons Creek, all the while less than a 5 minute walk to Whistler village and even less to the Blackcomb Gondola. With over 1,950sf of living space, 2 large living rooms on separate floors (perfect for giving kids their own space) this Gables unit offers the space and incredible location that any family or group is looking for.
The space
The unit is set in a beautiful tree line and is less than a 5 minute walk to Whistler Mountain and 2 minute walk to the new 10 person Blackcomb Gondola and Upper Village entrance. Sit back and relax in front of the wood burning fireplace after a long day on the mountains in the main living room while the kids relax in the lower level living room equipped with a 60' flat screen, large sectional couch and selection of game consoles and foosball table. FREE surface parking for one over-height vehicle and 1 covered stall! There is also a cage in the secure parking to store some bikes in the summer.
MAIN LEVEL:
The main floor has a great entry way complete with ski racks and a bench.
The kitchen has been fully renovated with new stainless appliances, new countertops, tile backsplash and flooring. The sunken living room with with modern sectional couch, single rocking chair, wood burning fireplace and wall mounted flatscreen makes it a great space for family gatherings and to relax. The dining area has a large ceramic table which can comfortably seat 8 - 10 people and is located immediately off the kitchen. There is a private patio off the living room with seating and propane BBQ.
The master bedroom has a king bed and walk in closet at the front of the unit.
The 2nd main floor bedroom is located off the living room and has a queen bed, closet and great natural light with the sounds of the forest and creek echoing in the distance.
LOWER LEVEL:
The lower level has a second living room that is perfect for a kids hangout or to sit back and watch a movie. There is a large sectional couch with built in queen size pull out bed, 55' flat screen, game console, foosball table, desk, in suite laundry room with large capacity Washer/Dryer, full bathroom with shower (no tub) and two further bedrooms.
The third bedroom is set up with 2 sets of twin bunk beds and a closet. The 4th bedroom on the lower level is separated with a sliding door from the third bedroom and also has one set of twin bunk beds.
Kids with a small child can have access to the booster seat as well as a pack n play which is located in the laundry room closet.

Proximity to hill was fantastic. Clean, and nicely designed.

Overall this place was absolutely great. You can't beat the location for a place that sleeps 12 people. It's hard to find a place to accommodate this many people close to the village. The layout is great, because the lower floor is actually mostly underground, so it was perfect for the kids and teenagers to make noise and not bother surrounding neighbors. The lower floor is very large, with 3 sets of bunks and a nice L-shape couch which also has a pull-out queen bed.
The only complaints with the unit:
- didn't have a functioning coffee maker, the unit was broken, but no-one had notified the agent, there was a French press however
- the oven did not work properly, took way too long to heat up and then didn't maintain heat
- only two rolls of toilet paper per washroom. With a unit that accommodates 12 people, more toilet paper was needed, so we had to go out and buy some, which we left at the unit

The home was great. The location was great.
2 small points: The mattresses on some of the bunk beds were not awesome. For the price a decent mattress all around would be expected. Either the oven did not work well or we didn’t know how to use it.
All in all a great stay and i would stay there again.

Great property just a quick walk to Blackomb gondola. Turn left out the door when you see the rubbish bins and the path will take you right to the main paved trail and under the roadway.
It was a little tight for 9 male adults especially with the 2 bathrooms, but the value was excellent with such convenient access to walk to gondola and into the village stroll.
Love the built-in pumps for shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. Many rentals will provide a few small bottles, so this was a welcome surprise like the HUGE supply of coffee!
Plenty of living room space and large dining table for our big group.
If you have a taller car or one with ski racks, plan to use the provided parking pass to park in outdoor lot.
Oliver was an excellent host - checked in with us to make sure everything was ok and communicative on a few questions leading up and after our stay.

The location was incredible. The condo looks out on the Valley Trail and it's so convenient for walking between Whistler Village/Gondola and Blackcomb Gondola.
The condo is very spacious. The layout of the dining room, kitchen, and living room is convenient for meals and chatting. The downstairs living room is a great size for games and watching TV. The entryway mud room has space for helmets, boards, jackets, and shoes.
The washer/dryer were INCREDIBLE to have after some wet days on the mountain.
We'd be happy to stay here again in the future. Great spot!!

We had a great time in whistler staying at Oliver’s apartment. Great location to get to the lifts and brilliant to come back to a large flexible space for the kids and adults to hang out. We will be back.

This was perfect for our group ski trip. We were able to easily access the ski lifts in the morning and get a good night's rest at night. We would love to come back!

Nice walking distance to both Whistler and Blackcomb lifts. Maybe 5 min walk. Covered garage parking was good, no need to scrape off snow when wanting to drive. Accommodations were comfortable and just as described. Would be better with third bathrooms but it was fine for the 5 of us.

We really like the Gables for its location between the two bases, and were very fortunate to find this 4BR available and reasonably priced in the context of Whistler. Everything was as described in the listing.

Thanks for such an amazing stay! The location was perfect, had 3 generations of family with us and they could all walk to the blackcomb lift or Whistler village with ease. The house had lots of space for kids games downstairs and big family meals and games upstairs. We would highly reccomend this location.

The unit was spacious, clean, lots of kitchenware. Bathrooms came with soap and shampoo so that was nice. It would have been nice to have tinfoil or saran wrap. Also scissors. Weirdly those were a couple of things I needed but couldn't find any in the kitchen.
The binder said there was two parking passes but there was only one. We did have a third car which would have been nice to have parked in the lot. The lot was barely filled. The instructions also said we could park overnight in lots 1-5 but between November to March, overnight parking was not permitted.
Everything else was great.

Oliver was easy to communicate with and very helpful throughout the entire process. The property was much larger than I expected, very clean and close to the village. I would recommend this property to anyone planning on staying in Whistler.

Very nice property perfectly located near both Blackcomb and Whistler gondolas. The family room was perfect for our teenagers !

Great central location- perfect for families with teens
We loved the two separate living rooms- one downstairs for teens to hang out and a well-stocked kitchen for making feasts. We never used a car- everything in whistler and upper villages was a short walk away.

Great vacation home!
We stayed 3 nights here and we all loved the location and space we had. Olive was very helpful and accommodating. The place was super clean and nicely decorated. Kids had their own basement rec room to hang out. It is very close to both upper village and village center. We enjoyed evening walk after dinner every night. Restaurants in the village were always busy so we decided to cook one night. Fully stocked kitchen was great, we had everything we needed.
We will definitely stay here again.

Great Location
Very comfortable property and excellent location - easy walk to both Whistler and Blackcomb bases. Lots of space - 2 separate living areas give teens and parents their space.

Great place very close to the village
Great place very close to the village. We had such a great experience staying here. I went up with my husband and my three kids for a milestone birthday celebration. The place is spotless, the kitchen is very well set up, and communication with Oliver was always easy with very fast responses. He was incredibly welcoming, and it was such a great space for us to be in and so close to the village. My kids really enjoyed the downstairs area with the Foos ball table, big screen TV and large, comfortable couch. We would absolutely love to stay here again! Thank you Oliver!
