The play equipment, grassy area, and proximity to town were nice.
The room we were given was directly over the restaurant, with windows overlooking the dining area and pool. The architecture is nice but practicality was not - this is a noisy space to put a family. Additionally, I chose this girl over others and rentals in the area because of its restaurant and hours. We have been traveling extensively and we’re in the area to interview a school. I was relying on the restaurant as to accommodate dinner after we arrived. I was told the restaurant happened to be closed because it was Wednesday. The advertised room service didn’t exist and so I had to pile my family back in the car after four hours of driving to find something locally and rather late. The included breakfast consisted of two options and I was never brought mine. We were one of two families staying there, there were no other guests. Staff was friendly and helpful…the few times I saw someone but so limited and scattered that I couldn’t find anyone to check us out. The linens were stained and the walls were relatively dirty but the room set up and bathroom show evident effort. If I have to guess, this place is recovering from financial difficulties brought on during the pandemic and the reduced staff and restaurant hours during the off season are a pragmatic attempt to address some of that burden. The website and information should be updated with restaurant closures and other changes to amenities. However, this place accepts pets, and that was our primary requirement as we were traveling with our dog.

The location is great near a stream of creek. The property was beautiful. The food at the italian restaurant was exceptional.
The check in process takes hours. There is no lobby or a clear way of knowing where to check in. I was running around for almost one hour and call the manager to finally get someone to help check in. We did not get all of our 3 rooms till 6pm. Communication has a lot of room for improve especially for non spanish speakers.

Lovely place, easy to get, easy to park. The room in the separate building (double room with two double beds) was perfect - clean , comfy, nice bathroom, very quiet - perfect relax. When you order the room ask for this one, not the room above the restaurant - they are smaller and a little bit noisy. Cuisine in this hotel is the best in this region. Its Italian style and chef is excelent. We finally stayed two more nights - mainly because of the cuisine - fresh, tasty - just perfect. If you ´re on the way from San Jose to pacific coast ( road 27) - this is the best stop to stay or to eat.
Everything was fine.

Great setting and lovely owner who made us feel welcome. Lovely shower and coffee
Breakfast was good.
The restaurant was quite expensive and the only option whilst staying there.
It was raining the night we were there, so we didn't get to try the pool or jacuzzi.

Breakfast was very yummy! Very fresh and delicious tipico Costa Rican food. And the waitstaff even broke out Nutella for our 5 year old son as a special surprise. Lunch and dinner were exceptional - some of the best Italian food we've had since being in Costa Rica.

The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant was yummy, great pasta & pizza. (Jesus was very friendly & helpful with translation). Manager went over & above to help us arrange covid test for travel. Awesome spot for everyone!! Excellent for children. Lots of room to run, play ground, little pool, stream with swimming spot near by etc. Very Nice room we had by the river. Great value!!

the bed sheets were dirty, the room was quite small and with not enough light, bathroom with no window. The walls were scratching due to the rain and pain was dropping on the ground.

Clean rooms, nice location near the river, good Italian restaurant
Room was right above the kitchen so it gave some noises, at night our room was crowded with red ants that flew right into our bed so I haven’t slept well, there was no one around anymore to ask to switch rooms

Although the hotel is just a few minutes drive for Orotina, it feels like you are in a garden oasis. The grounds are beautiful and well kept - lots of flowers and lush plants. The hotel borders a lovely river which you can access through a gate in the hotel gardens. We ate dinner at the hotel - good Italian food with large portions. We really enjoyed the breakfast. We all had the traditional Tico breakfast - very good. All the fruit and veg was incredibly fresh. We stayed in the double bed rooms in a separate building from the dining area. The beds were very comfortable, the air-conditioning worked great and the room was very clean. We travel to Costa Rica frequently and often stay in Central Valley before going on to other destinations. We will definitely be back - and for more than 1 night next time.

The staff was welcoming and kind. The food was yummy! I appreciated that my room was near the river and away from the main visitors area.

Staff was attentive, the room was very comfortable. We stopped here between the beach and Volcan Arenal and we’re so happy we did. The river was a great place to spend the morning and part of the afternoon. Then we enjoyed the pool, animals and small park since we had small children. Wifi works well and we loved having access to Netflix!
The shower doesn’t seem to drain directly to the drain. A bit of a design flaw, but the bathroom was very nice!

Some minor delay checking in due to apparent mixup with Booking pricing.

would have liked a bigger heated pool with a filter and not next to the restaurant 🥴

My family and I really loved our stay. We had a very nice surprise with installation and facilities. Our room was huge and we slept very comfortable, 4 adults and a baby (same bed as parents). Small swimming pool, perfect to play with my 2 years old son. There is also a playground for small children, he had a lot of fun. the view and walk along side the river is very well recommended too. They also have deers, so sweet. Another highlight is the Italian restaurant, perfect and delicious lunch. Perfect scape from the city and great opportunity to connect with nature and family.
Staff is so kind, we felt very special during the whole stay. I want to go back already.

Pool is ok but can improve!
The shower water goes out of the bath and then the water runs through the entire bathroom.
