A weekend away but with all the homey touches, it felt like home! Loved our cute little bungalow in the middle of the city!

We stayed the weekend for a soccer tournament. The neighborhood is nice and the street traffic low. There was stuff within walking distance.

Barb and the Seward House was above and beyond our expectations. From an extremely clean and cozy home to the wonderfully stocked pantry our stay was extremely enjoyable. In some cases it felt better than home. We have already discussed future trips to Minnesota and especially to Seward House. I could not recommend it more.

How much did we love our stay at Seward House? Let me count the ways:
1. Probably the most thoroughly & thoughtfully stocked property we've ever visited. Not only had the basics that are so often missing like a dish rack and scrub pads, but an ample supply of snacks and food staples like milk, butter, eggs etc. Even toiletries!
2. The house itself is comfortable with all the modern amenities you'd expect in a newer home, without sacrificing any of the original charm. A classic south Minneapolis two story with updates like AC, high efficiency windows, dishwasher, washer & dryer etc. Herb garden in the backyard and a lovely front porch.
3. The Seward Neighborhood has always been one of our favorites. Centrally located, diverse, funky and hyper-local. I grew up in the Twin Cities and nowadays whenever I get back it seems like so much of it has become just like everywhere else. But not this hamlet or the larger Cedar-Riverside area. While there were some newer apartment buildings it's nothing like downtown Minneapolis or Uptown or the western suburbs. Make sure you check out the Milwaukee Avenue historic district one block over. I had never heard of it but wow, what a hidden gem!
4. Barb was a gracious host and really went above and beyond in making us feel welcome.
Might not be the first neighborhood that comes to mind when you think of visiting MSP but give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Extremely clean and well stocked home. This home provided the extra space I have come to appreciate for the adults and 2 teenage boys to spread out when vacationing. It was very clean and the owner was very quick to respond to questions ahead of our trip. We had no issues while staying there.
We have stayed at many VRBO's and this one stood out as having an abundance of snacks and breakfast items -- so many options that would last more than the 3 days we stayed there... and little extras like a box of made in Minnesota chocolates and fresh flowers... all pleasant surprises.
The location was central to the things we wanted to do - baseball game at Target field, Minnehaha falls park, Mall of America. There was a nice small back yard with fire pit that we didn't have time to use. It's within a short walking distance to some restaurants.
We couldn't have asked for more!

The Seward House was absolutely wonderful. The home itself is just adorable with a perfect home feeling. Barb was wonderful in communicating with us and offering/providing any accommodations we needed for us and our 18m old baby. We highly suggest this beautiful home for your stay in Minnesota.

Barb has thought of everything for what feels like a visit to your best friends cottage. Cozy garden in back for a morning cup of joe or a fire with smores. Comfy beds, with extra pillows available. Short walk to Rebecca's bakery for coffee, pastries or more is a hidden gem not to be missed. Quiet neighborhood, close to lots of fun things to do.

The Seward House is just perfect for me. It's conveniently close to the Blue Line to get to and from the airport. Nearby busses allow transfer to Green Line to get to Xcel Energy Center. Barb stocks the place very, very generously. Pizza Luce is close by so I can get my baked potato pizza fix!

We all loved our stay at Barb's place! The house is so cute and quaint, instant love. The small touches is what really made our stay unforgettable: welcome personal note, a kitchen stacked with snacks and a welcome basket as well, bathroom stacked with hygiene items, fire pit with wood available and tomato/cucumber garden that note said to feel free to pick. Great Mall of America just a 15-20 min drive. We shall be back!

The Seward House is Wonderful!
Our stay at the Seward house was better than could be expected. Barb is an excellent host! Communication was clear and she was available if needed. It's a wonderful older home with great character in a charming neighborhood. The kitchen was stocked with staples and goodies, which was a welcome surprise. The location was convenient to interesting restaurants, grocery and liquor stores. It was perfect for us and our son's family. We were able to spend quality family time while celebrating a graduation. If we ever have an occasion to stay in Minneapolis again, we will stay in the Seward House!

BEST PLACE EVER!
This place was ready from start to finish. There was almost nothing we didn't have ready for the house literally felt like staying at a relatives home. Plan on coming back to barbs home every time I visit Minnesota! A lovely experience and keeps you covered from a great place to stay but booties to keep your piggies warm on the wood floors. Bedrooms were very warm/cozy while being there for a few wintery nights and there were plenty of blankets to keep warm all over the house if anyone did get cold, there were maps to places near by, there was food in the kitchen there was almost nothing we had to bring but clothes. :)

Amazing
This old house has been massively renovated. It's cozy, clean, and has all the amenities you'd ever need. Barb is a great host, ensuring an easy check-in and check-out, and touches base during your stay to make sure everything is ok. The extras, like the welcome note and candy, were an added bonus. We will be back!

Seward
Perfect size house for our family in a quiet historical neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay mostly for skiing and relaxed with some quiet time in the evenings. It was a nice surprise to have all the amenities in place including coffee, tea, hot cocoa and even some basic groceries waiting for us. It was like arriving at home after the long drive to get there. Thanks again for sending our forgotten items back to us!
