About this house rental

Welcome to the Sea Saw. We are constantly adding new amenities, with more upgrades to come. Centrally located for you to take advantage of ALL the Outer Banks has to offer, only half a mile from the Wright Memorial. The house is located on a quiet owner’s street for a genuine Outer Banks experience. Guests will enjoy a spacious master bedroom with en suite bath, the second bedroom features a brand-new full-size bed, and the third bedroom is equipped a bunk bed and a single, plus a full hall bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size(new)range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Guests will need to provide their own linens or make arrangements with one of the local rental services (ex. Moneysworth or Just for the Beach). The house can sleep 8 comfortably. The living room also has two new sofas. The driveway can accommodate up to three cars. Families with small children can enjoy the use of a Pack’n’Play, booster seat, umbrella stroller and other items for lighter packing.
Fishermen rejoice only half a mile to a sound side boat launch and only a short drive to the piers of the norther beaches: Kitty Hawk Fishing Pier (MP 1), Avalon Fishing Pier(MP 6), Nags Head Fishing Pier (MP 12), Jennette’s Fishing Pier (MP 16.5) and Outer Banks Fishing Pier (MP 18). Runners and families alike will enjoy the pedestrian path that runs along Bay Drive with multiple sound access points, entry just a short walk from the house. Cyclists can also enjoy plenty of space to get their bikes out of the elements along with two bike shops in Kill Devil Hills and access to the Wright Brothers Bikeway, 10 Mile Loop Route and a portion of the Mountains to Sea Route. The house is conveniently located near several large grocery stores, fast food, as well as many fine local eateries and coffee shops. If the rain has you down you can take advantage of the movie theater just around the corner, the Tangier Outlets to the south, the aquarium to the west or the many gift shops of Duck to the north.
A stay at the Sea Saw means evenings of rest and relaxation after long days at the beach, touring lighthouses, fishing, cycling or shopping.

Our family’s first time visiting OBX AND using VRBO to book a location to stay. We were overwhelmingly happy with this location. We were close to everything, the house was clean and the perfect amount of space for my husband, myself and our 4 kids. The children’s toys, family games, and utility room with grill, beach chairs and toys amongst other things was an amazing added touch. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to OBX.

We were extremely disappointed in this place. I waited to review in case the owner ever followed up. He never did. The good: quiet neighborhood. The bad: -our 1st problem was the lack of giving linens. I am assuming this is an outer banks thing as they do have services that provide this. We’ve stayed at VRBO’s all over the US. All include sheets. Anyhow, we missed this information and we were “reminded” of it in his welcome letter. We are on a 3 week vacation and had already left so didn’t bring any linens with us. When we contacted the owner, he said nothing could be done. We reached out to VRBO, and they said they HATE when places don’t include linens because of this problem. He also confirmed very few places don’t include them. He scoured the listing and originally told us , there was no where in the listing saying you needed to provide your own linens and actually said we had right to cancel. I finally did find it. Buried in the middle of a paragraph nowhere with the bedding information. All that to say, don’t make our mistake and be sure and bring linens and towels - 2nd issue is this listing claims it’s a beach view. It is not, a very blatant lie. -3rd issue is the dryer was broken. We chose to stay at a VRBO solely for laundry. We contacted the owner nicely twice by message and once a call and he never responded. I had to take our wet laundry to a laundry mat 25 minutes away. When we only had two days there. So disappointing.

Great home and location. Loved the quiet neighborhood and kids riding bikes. Having a washer and dryer on-site was wonderful. Very close to Target, gas stations, Food Lion, etc. However, we did find the place dusty with crackers and band aids by some of the beds. I do wish linens were provided. That would have been very helpful. I also recommended that the pans should be replaced due to the Teflon being gone and the food sticking. Otherwise, my family enjoyed our time there and the children enjoyed the bunk room and the beach toys we were able to borrow. We would come back.

Myself, my husband and parents stayed a weekend at the SeaSaw. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a Wawa and a Target right outside the development. The house could be much cleaner than it was. There were crumbs on tables and furniture, dust, musty/mildew smell to the house, dirty floors. My husband and I did not know how to open the lock box on the house. We've stayed at a VRBO before, but it had a digital key. I tried to call owner and his voice box was full so I couldn't leave a message for him to call back. We ended up Googling how to open lock box and were able to get in after 10 minutes. I also left a message in the VRBO app and we have yet to hear anything.

This was our first time to OBX and we had a wonderful time. The house was clean and had beach chair and toys, many households, games, and an outdoor shower in addition to the 2 bathrooms. We went to the aquarium on a rainy day about 25/30 min away. Target is 3 min away. This is a great location to walk to the Bay Area and see the sunset and watch the sunrise at the beach side. The owner was helpful and kind. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends! We only wished we could have stayed longer.

We loved the location of this house and the quiet neighborhood near the sound! It was a perfect place for the teenagers to ride bikes and take evening walks. It’s also close enough to local restaurants, shopping, activities etc that you don’t have to drive too far. The house itself was a good size for 3 adults and two teens and came stocked with everything we needed (except linens, which we knew ahead of time). My only negative would be that the house was a little messy upon our arrival - we found crumbs on the kitchen floor and around the furniture in the living room and it didn’t look like anyone had cleaned behind the furniture in the bedrooms. But we swept and vacuumed before settling in and it was no big deal. We would definitely stay here again!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property. It is clean and well kept. The weather this weekend was unfortunately stormy, but there were plenty of games and coloring books to help entertain our group (ages 1-5 yrs). And just about everything we needed to cook and serve food was available in the kitchen. The neighborhood is very nice and close to everything. We will definitely be back.

This house is exactly as described in the listing and extremely clean. Close to everything as it is situated pretty much in the middle of OBX. Easy drive to the public beach accesses and close to shopping and restaurants. Plenty of room for my husband and I, and our 2 college age kids. Owners responsive and helpful. The property was conveniently located in Kill Devil Hills. There are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The rooms were comfortable enough. Central air conditioning was appreciated since the nighttime temps dropped to high 40s when we arrived. The kitchen equipment was good. The only minor annoyance was that house would slightly shake whenever we did the laundry - most likely since it is raised.

I can not say enough about our stay! The home was very clean neat and tidy! The owners are awesome and super nice and was easy to get ahold of if we would need anything! They let us check in early! The home is located near the public beach accesses, shops, Restaurants! I would most defiantly recommend this Rental property! there was plenty of room the beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped , if I could I would give it a 10 star rating! Our stay at sea saw was great! Perfect distance from the beach and close to other amenities (grocery, restaurants, shopping). The house is as advertised, although I think some larger couches and addition of some kitchen supplies would be beneficial (appliances were substantial). Charles was great with communication. Ample space for our group of 8.
