The hotel has a nice private waterfront with pier.
The staff was ever so friendly and helpful.
Only 5 taximinutes from town and from the city centre
Our room was situated close to the highway (noise however not too bad) and it took a short walk (through a plastic polluted forest) to get to the waterfront.
No restaurant for breakfast within walking distance.
Room rate too expensive (given the above)

the staff were lovely and very helpful. the free use of the bikes and paddle board and kayak was really good.
the noise from the trucks on the main road next to the property was loud at night. It wasn’t quite the 5 star resort we thought we had booked but still really enjoyed our stay

Location near the lagoon (beware: only one or two rooms, the rest is uphill)

it has his own entrance to the lagoon, so it’s very private and has everything to enjoy it. the staff is very nice and always willing to help.
You have to walk about 200 m to the lagoon from the room, that’s not the problem, the problem is that the road has rocks and it’s very dark at night. if you use the other entry, you have to walk about 600 m on the highway, so it’s a little bit dangerous.

My family and I love the access to the lagoon ( a total paradise ) and the attention was excellent.
The walk to the lagoon mainly because of the road conditions ( unfinished ) but hopefully will be soon.

the room was big and clean, the staff is very good , it has been very king with my family.
unfortunately, the room was next to the road, where truck are slowing down and make to much noise the night.

the rooms were good and spacious but the water was an issue. th second day we ran out of water because they didn't review the water tank level on time.
the water issue and the lack of room service

The room was a bit dim, and the road to it is a kinda bad for small cars

We were a bit skeptical pulling up to the property as it was set a bit back from the road and looked as though it was a family home. However we were welcomed by the team and shown to our room which was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The wifi was quite strong and we enjoyed the access to free water refills. We were provided with numbers for a taxi service and booked a tour of the lagoon as well. Only a short walk away was the lagoon with the swings and loungers overlooking the lagoon. There was a wonderful restaurant nearby that gave us a 10% discount for staying at Royal Palm and we enjoy breakfast at another nearby establishment. Blissful!
Honestly there was nothing I did not like.

The staff was extra nice and gave us recommendations on restaurants and attractions. The beach club is only 5mins walking from the reception so it is not a big deal. Rooms are huge and suuuuper clean! Thanks for hosting us and letting us have a late checkout, it is truly appreciated!
When we arrived we were confused by the main entrance as it looked like an abandoned place. But when we entered the room, we were very surprised that they were clean and recently renovated, super stylish! Our overall experience was superb, but I suggest they fix the entrance door and the garden as it is very neglected and affects the first impression quite a lot!

The room was huge and the beds were comfortable. The wifi worked well and the water pressure was good. The room also has a large veranda where you can relax. The hotel has a private piece of land with jetty near the lagoon (about a 10-minute walk). The location is a bit further from the center making it quiet in the evening. With a rental car, the location is perfect if you are looking for peace, space and comfort.

The room was quite large and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Having the kitchenette was also nice. The filtered water access and coffee provided were much appreciated. While the hotel sits close enough to the highway to hear some traffic noise it’s not that big a deal. The hotel is away from the town center by a mile or two but bikes are available for the guests and I had fun riding into town on one. The beach club is the main draw. It is reached by an easy 5 minute walk from the main hotel. It was a bit muddy and buggy but not too bad. The deck and grounds around the lagoon are very nice, picture perfect really. My main complaint would be with the lagoon access. While being the big draw using those facilities was the most difficult part of our stay. There is a paddle board and kayak to use and I was told at check in that you needed to reserve them in order to use them. When we first walked down to see the lagoon we were the only ones around. After awhile I thought I would take the kayak out just for a few minutes, as I was getting
ready to take it out a man came up and started yelling at me that I needed to make a reservation. I explained I was just going to use it for a few minutes and was the only one around. He shook his head. He was very rude about it. Eventually someone came down and let me use it after reminding me I needed to reserve it first. The second incident was the next morning. As the sun does not set on the lagoon I set my alarm and got up for the sunrise. I walked down to the beach club and was greeted by a locked gate with no way in. I was eventually let in after sitting on the nearby wall for half an hour. It just seems to me that the hotel made access of their best asset difficult and I cannot understand why they would do that. I would not return to this place because of that and the way I was treated by the man when I tried to use the kayak. Yelling at guests is not very hospitable.
They need to make using the lagoon area more convenient and compatible with how guest actually want to use it.

very nice staff to clean rooms and help to book excursions s
location is very bad and made us unhappy .. next to a highway so very noisy even inside the rooms.

We rented the deluxe double room (1 double bed and a sofa bed) which is the only room with a view of the lagoon and we had the "lagoon club" pretty much to ourselves
It only has kayaks to borrow for free and a swimming pool that is far away from our room so calling it a "Club" is a bit far fetched.

friendly hosts and very comfortable clean room. The beach club was located about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and was lovely with swinging chairs on the lagoon and felt very private. We enjoyed our stay near the magical lagoon.
the hotel was not as close to the lagoon as I had imagined from the listing.

At first I was a bit disappointed that the room didn’t have a view of the lagoon but when I sat out on the verandah in the evening I found it to be very peaceful, tranquil and I enjoyed listening to nature. The lagoon was only a short walk (about 6 mins). I found it difficult to get breakfast at 8.30 in the morning as everywhere around was closed, so had to walk about 20 mins to find somewhere that was open.

The room was very spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom quite big too. We were lucky enough to have the pontoon for ourselves for the sunrise which was very nice. The laguna is gorgeous, breathtaking! We borrowed the kayak to sail on the laguna, exceptional!
Sadly it is just next to the end of the highway, we could hear the cars quite loudly. The fridge is very useful but it makes a lot of noice. And depending on your room, you're not just in front of the laguna, you have to walk 5 minutes to get to it.

The Deluxe room was extremely large and high quality. The freestanding bath in the corner was lovely and the room was spotless. The proximity to the lagoon was a real bonus in that room - well worth the money. The lady who checked us in and communicated throughout was exceptionally helpful with booking and arranging, including check out, and did a very good job.
First impressions were a little concerning - the hotel pool and reception area is some distance from the lagoon and a little underwhelming to look at. Then we realised that in booking the deluxe room we would be much closer to the lagoon. Room Cleaning came at unexpected times - right in the middle of the day when we were trying to relax in the room out of the midday sunshine.

Lovely deck on the lagoon, kayak available on demand.
Coffee machine and drinking water available.
Aircon and fan were functional and quiet.
The access to the hotel is really awkward as on the highway or through a non official dirt road. Just a bit to far to walk into town.
The pool is tiny and not enticing.
The lighting in the hall doesn't turn off at night and curtains aren't big enough to block out the light, annoying if you are sensitive to light.

the rooms and the private lagoon area were very nice
a bit far, nothing was mentioned that there was no kayaks (while I booked this hotel just for it) or paddle anymore. so a bit expensive for the price
8.0 / 10.0
Very spacious rooms with a small kitchen corner and large bathroom. The area where the cabanas are located is pleasant, with the large shared balconies overlooking the swimming pool. Excellent sea food restaurant 5min away by foot.
The hot water for the shower always ran out very quickly, 5min of hot shower is all you get. No breakfast option available, the wifi was a bit unstable and the cabanas are not as close to the water as the pics might lead you to think, there's a 10min walk to reach the water that is not illuminated after dark.
