About this apartment rental
This very central, stunning 2 bedroom luxury apartment is the perfect example of quintessential Georgian architecture and sophistication. Oozing grand, theatrical style, this spacious, newly refurbished luxury home from home is located right in heart of the wonderful city of Bath. Not only is this comfortable apartment packed with character, it’s literally steps away from all the main sights, attractions, shops and places to eat. The ideal base for exploring!
As soon as you step in the door you’ll see that all the fixtures, fittings and appliances are new and exceptionally high quality. Offering the perfect mix of elegant Georgian chic with modern furniture and décor, it’s somewhere perfect to kick back and relax.
Lovingly restored and refurbished, this beautiful apartment is wonderfully light and airy. It’s also smack-bang in the middle of all the action - right on the main high street - and very close to the pretty River Avon. Bath's famous attractions are all within very easy reach including the Roman Baths, The Circus, Theatre Royal, Thermae Bath Spa, The Royal Crescent, Jane Austin's Bath residence as well as a number of parks, galleries and museums.
Of course, all the mod-cons are here as you’d expect, with a high definition TV, fully fitted kitchen, washing machine and Wi-fi throughout. All our linen and towels are of the highest quality, plus we provide complimentary luxury toiletries and bathrobes. There’s also a dining room table and chairs to seat four people, ideal for romantic meals or quick family snacks.
This particular apartment also boasts a luxury double chaise lounge sofa bed in the living room, perfect for children and extra guests.
The apartment sleeps up to six people with double beds in both bedrooms. All beds are kitted out with luxury 100% goose down bedding (or a hypoallergenic alternative if you’d prefer), so an amazing night’s sleep can be enjoyed by everyone.
Perfect for families, friends and couples, both bedrooms are en-suite and are located in separate wings with plenty of space to spread out. There’s also a separate single toilet and wash basin in the communal area between the living room and kitchen.
Both the apartment and Bath itself are a fantastic choice for a memorable weekend break or longer holiday away. We very much look forward to hosting you.
Kingsmead Square was laid out by John Strahan in the 1730s, having originally been at the junction of a number of routes entering the West Gate of the medieval city. The area was formally known as King’s Meadow.
Rosewell House is named after Thomas Rosewell, who commissioned it from Strahan and whose sign, a rose and a well, can be seen on the baroque façade with the date 1736.
Historic England bestowed a Grade I listing on the building in 1950 citing that it is an outstanding example of a Baroque town house, of the sort rendered unfashionable by John Wood's Palladian orthodoxy. `Nothing save ornaments without taste' was Wood's dismissive assessment. Its exuberant external decoration is unsurpassed, not only in Bath but elsewhere at this date. It marked the swan-song of a tradition of decorative masonry.
Dr Joseph Butler, Bishop of Durham, theologian, apologist, and philosopher lived at Rosewell House (where he came to Bath to take the waters) until 1752. Known originally as 'Londonderry' the house's adjacent fields were made famous by Sheridan in his play 'The Rivals' where the ludicrous duelling scene took place.

Property is in a great location and beautiful inside. All amenities are provided. Recommend highly.

Pros: location was perfect and central, easy to get to all of the restaurants, sites and literally anywhere in Bath. The house/Flat was clean, beautifully decorated, large and comfortable.
Cons: it is LOUD. The seagulls and pedestrians make going to bed a bit of a challenge especially if you have young kids. It was also rather warm, and we could not keep the windows open at night due to the noise.
However, I would stay here again if it was an adult trip. The location could not be better. It’s a gorgeous place and clearly well looked after. We truly enjoyed being able to roam the streets and see all that Bath has to offer.

Great location easy to walk to everything! Apartment had everything we needed for our short stay.

We were in Bath for my daughters graduation, this apartment was perfect, not only was its location spot on but the decor and attention to detail was amazing. It was spotless when we arrived and did the job.
Would have preferred earlier checkin but understand graduation is a busy time of the year in Bath. Would 100% recommend.

Excellent location; easy access to all that Bath has to offer. Delightful living space with great upgrades that made the stay very comfortable. Charming!

We really enjoyed our short stay here. This place worked great for our group to explore Bath. Lots of restaurants right outside the door.

Rosewell House exceeded our expectations! I felt liked I stepped into a period drama movie set, but with all the modern amenities you would expect from a luxury stay. The location? Perfect! The apartment ambience? Perfect! The comfort of the beds, the pillows, the linen & the towels? Perfect! If I could rate it more than 10/10, I would! Highly recommend staying here. I just wished we’d stayed longer and all the accommodation on our trip was this good!

The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed. The two primary bedrooms with en’suites was a major plus! We loved the location, it was right in the square with plenty to do within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!!

We all agreed we could live there. The location is excellent; a bit noisy on a weekend night but that's to be expected. We enjoyed it immensely and loved our stay in beautiful Bath.

Would have loved bathroom hand towels. There was a foul smell in the master shower. Great location. Quaint and comfortable.

Great location, beautiful flat at Christmastime. Perfect amenities for self catering. It was lovely!
4.9
Stayed one night to visit Bath Christmas market and to do some sight seeing with my daughter.
We ate in the the evening but we were surrounded by lots of lovely places to eat .
The apartment was very well equipped .The towels didnt quite live up to the standards of everything else.

Not as good as the photos suggest. A very tired apartment in need of some maintenance. Filthy broken blinds in the lounge, broken lamp switch with bare wires showing in the bedroom and black mould on the rack in the dishwasher ( which was full of semi-washed dishes). The radiators in one bedroom and the lounge were not working and the main light in the kitchen was not working . This is a grade 2 listed building and has beautiful period features but the windows are draughty and let in a lot of noise. The apartment is in a square surrounded by coffee shops and cafes and there was a lot of noise at all times of the day and night. We felt it was too expensive for the condition if the apartment.

Lovely property with a great central location in Bath

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful apartment in the heart of Kings Mead Square in Bath. A true gem and so well furnished. We were within easy walking distance of everything in town, including the Roman Baths, the free walking tour, shops, restaurants, markets and the river. Just perfect. We can’t wait to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay in this stunning apartment! It is exactly as featured online. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Perfect for 2 couples. We had our 3 adult kids with us so one was on the couch but it was still very comfortable. The location is great! Minutes from all the sights and there’s a overnight parking lot a short walk away if you’re traveling by car.

What a beautiful centrally located apartment. Easy walking distance for exploring Bath. Very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Our family of four had a fantastic stay. Thank you.

This flat is centrally located in Bath and everything is within walking distance. The flat provided an excellent location for our walk about and Eddie was a superb host with everything as it should be. We would stay here again

We had a great stay in this property. It’s beautifully furnished and close to wonderful sights in Bath. Just be aware that the Square has activity early in the morning and late at night. We used White Noise apps and had no problems. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed 2 short nights in Bath at this property. Things we LOVED - so very centrally located, super old and historic (I'm an old house nerd), very tastefully decorated and updated. It was a little loud late at night (didn't really bug us but if you want super quiet this isn't for you), ensuite bathroom could use a deep cleaning. Would totally stay here again, this is a lovely property!

We really enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend this apartment with one caveat: while this apartment was great for us when we were awake, it was not so great when we wanted to sleep.
Communication with the property manager was great. The apartment is wonderful! It’s very comfortable, stylish, and well appointed. Easily 5 stars. The location is also great- close to historic sites and wonderful restaurants, situated on a vibrant square with a lovely fruit and vegetable stall, and a great coffee house. However, on the Friday night when we stayed, there were revelers being loudly gleeful past 4am, and then noises of businesses preparing for the day started before 6am. I enjoyed listening to the hubbub of the city for one night, but if you’re looking for a quiet place to sleep, this is probably not the apartment for you, especially on a weekend.

We so enjoyed this property in beautiful Bath. Being walking distance to everything was wonderful. Great restaurants and Therme Bath Spa steps away. We even found an overnight private parking a couple blocks away from the unit on the Just Park website. We're already thinking about a return trip.

Perfect spot in Bath, great hosts. Thank you both.

Amazing apartment! Didn’t want to leave! A birthday surprise for a friend and loved it! Clean, spacious, comfortable & great view overlooking square and loved the buz. Perfect in every way. Will definitely book this again!

We had a wonderful stay in Bath and this historic apartment put us in the heart of everything. The apartment is spacious, and we enjoyed people-watching perched over Kingsmead Square. Be forewarned, the party rarely stops in the Square. With crowds of people making considerable noise much of the night and delivery trucks arriving early in the morning, this is not a flat for light sleepers. While this is indeed a very beautiful apartment as listed, we found the cleaning was not up to standard in several regards. The freezer was so completely full of frost, the frost was forcing the door open. The dishwasher had not been run and had dirty dishes inside, there were no dishwasher tabs provided, and we found a smelly dish towel resting on the couch. Also, we expect some quirks, but certain deferred maintenance was also noteworthy: two heaters were inoperable (lounge and master), the master bedroom door would not fully close, the master bedroom had an odd smell (mildew?), and 2 out of 3 blinds in the lounge were broken (the view is part of the apartment’s appeal after all). It really is a lovely (and otherwise clean) apartment in a truly amazing location and we enjoyed our stay; it is unfortunate however that we encountered so many issues.

Our family of 5 had a lovely time in Bath and at this property. The flat is just as nice as it appeared in photos, and was comfortable for everyone. Check in was easy, and we found all that we needed was there. We would definitely recommend this lodging to others!

Great flat in the heart of Bath. Location couldn’t be better for walking around town, but it comes with the noise of many restaurants and people on the square. If you want to sleep in, then this place may not be for you.
Flat is beautiful and well appointed. It is clean and in excellent condition. If you are visiting in the summer heat, the place is fairly warm for sleeping.

The apartment is in a beautiful building on a central square in Bath. Depending on the group, it could be loud-- There are restaurants on three sides down below, and there is always plenty of activity on the square. This may not be an issue, though, and it was not for us. There are two grocery stores very close, a coffee shop downstairs, and a produce stand several days a week on the square. Everything is an easy walk from here, and a parking lot is about a 7 minute walk away, The apartment itself is beautifully furnished and kept up. Everything worked well, and it was very comfortable. The hosts communicated well. There was a hiccup at our check in, though-- The key was not in the lockbox at the front door when we got there, and it took nearly an hour, several phone calls/text messages, and some quick walks to get a replacement key. This kind of thing shouldn't happen, and hopefully it won't again. We would certainly stay here again.

Great property in Bath. It's situated in an ideal location, and the rooms are quite large. Only issue I had was with communication. We had to ask twice for check-in instructions and only received a response after waiting 15 minutes outside the door of the flat.

Perfect location, spacious rooms
Couldn’t have been happier about the location and perfect for our one-night stay. The apartment had everything my family needed.

Charming appartment
We absolutley loved the place. The appartment was clean, furnished in an eclectic style and well equipped with what a short stay may require, from coffee and complimentary bottle of wine to white bathrobes and plush towels.
Location wise, it's bang on in the middle of town, in an ancient historic building overlooking a picturesque square covered with lush trees.
The owner was quick to respond to all my messages and very attentive to our needs.
FIVE STARS!
