Lovely cabin just off Main Street in government camp mouthhood Oregon period interior reminded you of a log cabin with naughty pine paneling

Very clean and well maintained with plenty of hooks for hanging damp ski clothes. Great location and can walk to all Gov't Camp has to offer. Wi-Fi worked well for my purposes
All the board games were incomplete, they should just get rid of those in the cabin.
A group of 4 for skiing would be the ideal use for this cabin, but 8 could fit if you sleep on

Beds on top floor, bath on 1st floor with steep stairway in between was a bit difficult. Fireplace damper did not seem to work properly and could not get it resolved. had power outage and left one day early due to weather concerns.

The stay was not as relaxing as we hoped. I excess info to get in the rental was incorrect. Had to stand at the door and call management to get in. The main floor has a lot of black mark staining and the upstairs carpet in the bedroom also had stain marks. Called management again and took pictures to show issues were there when we arrived. The fire place did not work the draft was broke so when we did try a start a fire it filled the cabin with smoke. The rental provided a key to a firebox for wood but it storage unit was empty. The refrigerator was way to small it would be fine for a hotel but not for a house rental.

We’ve never been to government camp before. Loved the town and being able to walk to all the restaurants and everything.

Good for 2 persons, was end of summer so easy parking; nice to have a bit of heat at night as it was getting chilly!

This is a reasonably priced, well-stocked cabin. It is good for a small family or a couple. I would not recommend for two couples as you must walk through one bedroom to get to the other. It was a bit inconvenient having the bathroom on the first floor and bedrooms on the second. Also would have been a plus if wood and kindling was available for the wood stove.

Perfect for 3-4 adults. Great location, walk to restaurants.

Been coming here since it was listed and never fails to disappoint. Great interior, has everything you need and awesome location. See you next year!

You will need to buy your own firewood. The internet was dead when we arrived, and the owner got it reset. The air filter on the ductless heater was so clogged it didnt operate. I washed the screens and it ran fine from there. The cabin is cute, comfortable, and was great for us.

Thank you for this delightful space. Comfortable beds, and high quality bedding; a well equip kitchen and bathroom. We recommend bringing a Hot Water Bottle as upstairs gets cold at night. Location was great, a short walk to magnificent hiking paths. We caught the unusually hot weather in October, and visited local lakes Mirror and Tillicum for magical hikes and a surprise swim. One thing, as others have noted, the bright street light shines directly into the East facing bedroom all night, I brought an eye mask specifically, as I had read about this bright light in another review.

A great location. Could walk to local businesses. We hiked in the area. Cooked in the well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable. Actually enjoyed having no TV.

No issues, had a great trip and the place worked perfectly for our needs.

Cute little cottage with a great location behind the Huckleberry Inn. Needs some updating !
The front door is especially troublesome. It’s very flimsy and the lock sticks horribly. I couldn’t actually enter the property when I arrived and was outside calling the management for over an hour before one of the neighbors actually helped me to get in.
The door and locks need to be completely replaced. The management office did not answer the phone. It was extremely frustrating after a long day of traveling. They came out the next day to address the situation … which helped but the lock was still sticky and I was nervous about getting liked out again.
The inside of the unit is cute and has everything you need but it’s very small. The couch only seats 2 and is closely positioned to the fireplace. The kitchen is updated and nice for making coffee in the morning.
The unit could desperately use some window coverings. The lights from the parking lot and town are bright and flood the bedrooms at night. It’s very difficult to sleep without adding towels or sheets over the windows to block out the brightness.
Overall the location can’t be beat if you’d like to be in Govy. Super close to all the restaurants and shops and an easy drive to all the great hiking spots near by.

Cozy Cabin Ski Lodge
Comfortable lodge and a perfect location for skiing in Timberline and Hood Meadows. Great bars and restaurants nearby. The Huckleberry Inn does amazing breakfasts. Ratskeller for lunch and beer.

Spring Break Skiing
The beds and linens were super comfy! All cotton and no synthetics make for sweat-free sleep! The kitchen had everything we needed. The heater was strong and kept the place nice and cozy. Kids loved the toys that were available. Parking was easy and loved being able to ski right into town and a quick walk to the cabin. We also loved being within walking distance of the Govy General Store and restaurants!

Cute and cozy cabin right in the heart of Govy & just down the hill from Timberline!
Authentic little cabin close to everything in Govy. Very clean/tidy. Nice & simple updated kitchen/bathroom. Comfortable beds. Loved looking out the windows and watching the snow fall :)

Great mountain get away
it is a cozy and rustic place to spend the night after skiing on Mt Hood

Nice cozy place.
See Title. Only drawback was the lack of wood in the porch wood shed, but that was easily remedied by a walk to the Govy General.

The location can't be beat. Walked to all the best spots in Govvy, and got us up to the mountain bright and early.

Fantastic cozy cabin!
This is my second time staying at this cabin. Absolutely cozy and convenient to general store and trails. Cabin comes with very fun wood fire stove. Super clean kitchen and bedroom and everything. Well stocked games, puzzles and toys for little ones. I thought it took a while to make the house warm this year but other than that, what a fantastic stay it was! Just for winter tip, we got snowed in for over 2 foot overnight. Plow truck won’t come to this minor street where the cabin is until later so you want to start shoveling the snow around car early and may need a couple of sled full loads to car.

Cozy cabin
The cabin was just fine for the two of us. The space heater in the kitchen area kept the whole place reasonably comfortable without starting a fire in the fireplace.

Cozy cabin
Truly a cozy cabin. Positives were that cabin was exceedingly clean, and in a wonderful location— center of town and restaurants were a medium walk or very short drive.
Our major negative may have been our fault. 2 bedrooms, both on second floor, one bathroom, we did not realize on first floor. Was not clear to us when we rented. Not optimum for 2 70yo.
Heating system also interesting. Ceiling heater for first floor, space heater for second floor. Little challenging to figure out, but, once we did, worked fine.
Kitchen small, but well appointed and was fine.
For price, great value. Great for long weekend.

Amazing decor and great location
My boyfriend and I loved this little cabin. This cabin is ADORABLE and in a great location- super close to Timberline Lodge, the general store and some bars/restaurants. We happened to bring a laptop and speaker and enjoyed a night in watching a movie by the fireplace as it snowed out (no TV in cabin FYI). We would love to stay here again!

Cozy!
Loved this cozy cabin. Really appreciate all the hooks for hanging gear! Great location a block up from town, and close to the Glade/Blossom trail :) Kitchen was well set up with pans and equipment. Parking was not an issue. Loved our stay!

Spring break getaway
Clean property with good access to all the Mt. Hood ski resorts. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils, plenty of linens as well. Would stay here again.

Wonderful stay
We had a great 3 night stay with our family of 3 the cabin is super cozy and really well appointed with everything you need. The location is fantastic with the local market a very short 2 minute walk away, and we spent some great days at mt hood meadows. We got lots of gorgeous snow while we visited.

Cute cabin, not clean
Cabin and was cute and cozy. I would leave a 5 star review, however, it was absolutely filthy when we arrived. Food, crumbs, and garbage from prior guests in every room of the cabin. Gross. We had to vacuum when we arrived because there was white dog hair everywhere.

Awesome!
This was my second time staying here and it was just as amazing. Cabin was super clean when we checked in. Perfect size for a small family/friend vacation in a beautiful location. Would highly recommend!

Cozy cottage
This place was small but cute. I actually found the kitchen quite functional for cooking. It does seem to be more popular as a winter destination, but we were there in the summer. It can get quite hot in this location in the summer and the one thing that would really improve the place is providing something to prop open the windows, only a few of which could actually be a opened. Maybe a fan? I had to rig the windows open with various books and household items. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Good location
Would stay here again for sure. Our only issues were with customer service. Communication with Vacasa was very poor. I received no response to my messages for weeks. There was no marked parking, leaving us to guess where to park, and the property manager very rudely told us we were parked in the wrong area. Why not paint parking lines? Why not politely ask us to move as opposed to using blatant rudeness? The property was very clean, well-kept, and in an excellent location. Although the customer service was all around very poor, I would recommend the property. Walking distance to everything, and an all around great deal!

Great location!
Easy to walk or bike to trails and restaurants. Super clean and cozy. Modern appliances and a great lay out for a small place. I was here in July but I better staying here in the winter is even better! Definitely recommend

There for summer ski camp.
Location is fantastic, check in and out were easy. Packed all of our food for 8 days coming out of state because of covid and didnt realize it was a teeny mini-fridge, so be mindful of that, it was a small disaster.
This could be a cute little functional cabin, but it isn't.
This is the perfect cabin for you and your family if:
*You like giving free peep shows to the neighborhood.
*You do not like fresh air coming through your house.
*You are there for ski camp and your child can't fall asleep when theyre dead tired because its still light outside.
BECAUSE THERE'S NO CURTAINS ON SOME BEDROOM WINDOWS OR SEE THROUGH CURTAINS ON OTHERS. Weirdest thing ever. No blinds or anything. The bathroom is too small to change in, the curtain rods that are there are too flimsy to hold a blanket, it was absolutely ridiculously terrible.
There is not a dishwasher so all things are done by hand. So, not any real sanitization happening. Who cleaned my untensils and dishes I was using? previous renters im assuming, highly doubt someone came through and sanitized since we're asked to wash our dishes before leaving. It just didn't seem like with coronavirus they had a good system, and inwasnt comfortable and had to wash everything by hand myself before use.
The windows dont open, and there's isnt a screen door, it finally got warm and we had a bear. I have bears here, this one came into the cabin door and I had to scare it out and off my porch. I get it, but I didn't like being holed up in the cabin because there's no screen type door and the windows dont slide open. A couple easy fixes and adding a full size fridge and this cabin would be doable for the price.

Great location and quaint little cabin
This cabin was a perfect location and tucked back quietly off the main drag of government camp. Easy to walk to downtown for an evening drink or bite to eat. Well stocked kitchen given the size and two nice size bedrooms upstairs. Very cozy inside!
