This location was enjoyable. The renovation of a former school into condos made our stay unique and fun. The place was spacious and clean, and very comfortable with the bonus of a washer and dryer. That made it even better! Cool town, good food from The Forge, Four Suns Fish and Chips, and Copper Range Depot. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed for a quick trip to move in to MTU. The location is convenient to get to campus and downtown. The apartment is extremely spacious.

We were visiting family in the area and brought a 6 month old baby, mom and grandma. Great space for our family. Met all of our needs, clean, lovely neighbors.

Our first impression of the unit was great. Spartan, but well-chosen decor. The TV in the living room was too complicated for us. That got us out and about more. There were no towel rods in the bathroom. The layout for the unit was odd, but we like that. The kitchen had all the necessary gadgets. We enjoyed our stay.

This was money well spent. Bedrooms were big, living area, kitchen, bathroom were great and clean. Plenty of dishes and utensils to use the kitchen. Location is a short drive to plenty of tourist things to do and places to eat. We would stay here again for sure.

This place was truly wonderful and had all the amenities you could ask for. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and all the comments about the pictures not doing it justice are accurate! The high ceilings and design choices were very appreciated.

We really enjoy the old schoolhouse turned into apartments. The price is very reasonable. We love how they tried to keep as much of the original structure as possible, the old doors and flooring. It is a clean and well kept property. The owners are very accommodating and have a quick response time, when I asked about staying another night.

I attended 1st and 2nd grade in this building. It was a throwback to see the old tile floors. It’s a very nice condo. Very clean. Lots of room. Beds are comfortable. Location is good. Overall, it’s a highly recommended place to stay. My standards for a 5⭐️ rating are high, and the difference between 4⭐️ and 5⭐️ is nit-picking little details in comfort and convenience. Nevertheless, this is a place I will definitely want to book again.

We had a great stay at the Loft on Lincoln in Hancock. The loft is much larger and more spacious than the pictures show. Ceilings are tall. We have more than enough room. Everything was spotless and the loft was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Nothing was missing. We were close enough to the Michigan Tech campus, downtown Houghton, and downtown Hancock for everything we wanted to do. This was a great location.

Bright, open, clean, and relaxing. This was the perfect place for our family to stay at the mid-point of our two week road trip. So thankful for comfy beds and laundry machines. The schoolhouse renovation is charming. We loved feeling like we were in a piece of local history. Would definitely stay here if we're ever in the area again.

We stayed for 4 nights in August with 2 adults and 3 kids. The apartment was exactly as advertised, clean, great shape, and plenty of room for all of us. Very comfortable accommodations. Quiet building. Close to the grocery store and a great base location to explore the Keweenaw!! We will definitely want to stay here for future Houghton/Keewenaw visits and would highly recommend this rental!

Picture perfect
This house would be perfect for a lifestyle shoot! Great light and decor. My kids are not cooperative in that department so I didn’t even try. The house was spotless and the beds comfy. It had everything we needed yet it wasn’t cluttered with partially used condiments or spatulas that have seen better days. Everything seemed new. The building itself was really cool!! The ceilings are high. The wood floors are a bit squeaky but they are most likely original to the building. I was afraid of making too much noise but the walls are solid. We couldn’t hear any of the neighbors in our apt or in the hall. There are a few flights of stairs but we were fine. The view from the top floor is so pretty. We brought a lot of our own food, not knowing what we would find, but there is a great grocery store and a co-op very close. We even walked down a very steep hill to a cute restaurant called Gino’s with a nice patio. The town itself is cool and very hilly! We had a great time exploring. There were 2 adults and 3 kids and we had lots of room. Could’ve squeezed in a few more people if we wanted to. There were 2 cots.

History with great updates
The space was clean and big enough for our group of five. Upper stairs apartment so we missed the outside space compared to other spots we have stayed in the UP. Did enjoy the AC unit in the main living space, it was 75-80 degrees during our visit. Nice location, close to downtown Hancock and the bridge. Pat's Food and Family dollar a short walk away. Close to beaches and parks. Newer remodel, lots of history though.

Just Perfect
We were in town to visit Michigan Tech for our HS teen on a college visit and some days touring the Keweenaw peninsula. Thai was perfect in so many ways- a great home base with room to spare and such a cool setting in the renovated school. Our hosts had everything we needed and we were happy to find all the extras like coffee and popcorn- bonus! Will stay again no question!
