We enjoyed staying at the property. A couple of comments although such limitations may have been considered in pricing. Yet since I am not familiar with Colorado and the area, and it would have been good to know in advance of booking. Access to property at top of a steep hill should be called out for aged occupants. Only 1 very small TV in living room. No AC. While we walked into town, there are no sidewalks so was dangerous with cars passing with some visibility issues on the road. Calling this out and mentioning a bus would have been nice. Washing maching location also difficult to access for older occupants. This information would have been useful

This home is roomy, close to town & activities. Only 3-4 min. to the main strip of stores, 10 min. to the entrance of Rocky mountain park. Had plenty of room for the 10 of us. The hide away room is a cool touch (bedroom, bathroom & washer/dryer)
The kids were addicted to the ping pong table & not their phones for 5 days. Host was easily reachable.

Our family agrees that this was a great place for our reunion! The kids played table tennis before they even unpacked. My daughter and her husband loved the "cozy" room downstairs. The town was charming, although the construction was confusing.

We spent 5 days in Estes Park and absolutely loved our stay! It was comfortable, clean, great communication, and was great for a large family of young kids (ages 3-9) and adults. Highly recommend!

Property manager, Laura, was very responsive and extremely friendly and helpful. We were thrilled with the property and would go back there in a heartbeat. The fifth bedroom was a bit of a surprise insofar as it was not accessible from the main house, but the folks who elected to sleep there loved it. There were flashlights that made the access possible.
The main house was fantastic, the kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable, the appliances were perfect, and everything was clean and spotless when we arrived.
In sum, we loved it and are delighted that we stayed there.

Beautiful house, short distance to everything downtown.

Great setting and location. Nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy the scenery. We heard Elk bugleing from the patio.

What a great few days we had staying at the Ponderosa. Plenty of room, football and games!

My group of friends had the loveliest time in this home, it was clean, adorable, and had so many quaint features / decorations / rooms to utilize. The host went out of her way to make us feel prepared for our trip and welcome when we arrived. Communication was seamless and she was truly a wonderful host. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to any family / large group of friends!

This house is cozy and roomy all at once. A dream house in the mountains. Highly recommend!

The 100 year old cabin was beautiful with lots of rooms for the kids to enjoy (Fooz ball, ping pong, an art area). The outdoor patio was lovely, & the view of the mountains from the kitchen sun room was stunning.

The Ponderosa was perfect for our two families who stayed here together (total of 12 people). The main living room is far more spacious than the pictures convey, and the other rooms give plenty of space to spread out and enjoy time together (or apart). We also greatly appreciated the well stocked kitchen, as we prepped meals for 12 easily throughout our stay.
Having spent time in Estes before, we also really appreciated the location of the cabin. It is a perfect spot to get into downtown Estes and also quick to get into the primary entrance to RMNP.
For anyone hoping to do major online activity at the cabin, be aware that the Wi-Fi speed is relatively slow (max 10mbps). Serviceable for basics (didn’t cause us any problems since we weren’t attempting to work or stream video), but be aware. Also note that the cabin can get warm if the weather is hot, but there are ample, high quality fans supplied that help keep it cool.
Finally, on top of a great cabin and location, the host (Laura) is a great communicator and very kind/personable. Given the opportunity, we would love the chance to return to this great spot!

Our family shared this home with our friends and it was a perfect vacation. Together we had 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 9 to 14). The kids loved the ping pong and foosball tables. The adults loved the separate areas for us to sit and talk. The location is close to RMNP and the YMCA of the Rockies.
My daughter forgot her favorite necklace during our checkout and Laura found it while cleaning and was kind enough to deliver it to us in Loveland. We will definitely rent this home again.

The place is very charming! Eight of us fit very comfortably, flexible living/seating areas, lots of games and books, great location halfway between the Estes downtown and the RMNP east entrance

This was a great rental and a great location. Close to everything in town and easy to access. Home was very clean and very updated with lots of space.

This house is as advertised. It was a perfect place to have the whole family. Has a great view of the mountains, great location in estes park, and we loved the old school cabin feel. The Foosball table and ping pong table are a great touch, we used them alot.

We had a great stay with a group of friends at Ponderosa! It’s location was perfect for getting into the park while also convenient to stores and restaurants in Estes Park. Would definitely stay here again!

For the last decade we've traveled in to Estes. Our adult children and their spouses/ friends plan all year for this trip. The Ponderosa has a wonderful host, great proximity to downtown, and very relaxing in the evening and inclement weather!

House is very much as shown in pictures. Lots of room for gathering in large and smaller groups. Beautiful outdoor patio as well. Hosts very responsive to questions during our stay.

Overall this property was perfect for our extended family of 10. The game room was used a lot! Watching for the elk to come thru the property was a bonus. Also, there was so much room for everyone to spread out. So clean! Loved all the details - so much care was put into this beautiful home. And was the best stocked home we have used.

We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous cabin! There were 8 adults and 4 children in the house, and it fit everyone comfortably. Not only are there plenty of bedrooms, but the living and dining spaces are large enough to comfortably hold everyone as well. The location of the cabin was perfect, just on the outskirts of the downtown area, and minutes away from the National Park, we could be anywhere we wanted to be in no time. Thanks for the great accommodations!

Vintage charm made this the perfect stay!
We just LOVED this house. The location is perfect - near downtown, as well as the Beaver Meadows entrance to RMNP - but the real delight was the vintage charm of this nearly 100 year old house, inside & out. All of the furnishings were comfortable & thoughtful, especially the Pendleton throw blankets on every chair! The house is stylish & functional & worked extremely well for our group of seven. Laura, who manages the property, was so responsive & friendly - it was great talking to her & knowing that she was available if we needed anything. We saw elk in the yard on two different occasions, & apparently there is a resident bear that you might get lucky enough to see, as well! Overall, we would definitely recommend a stay at this charming home. We enjoyed your time here immensely!

The right choice!
From the beginning, the property hosts went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. From recommending hikes to allowing us to use their child carrier for my 2 year old, they were excellent. Location is as good as it gets. We saw several elk, deer, and a bear on the property.

Everything we hoped for!
This cabin was such a wonderful place to stay. We explored RMNP and Estes Park but felt right at home and had plenty to do in the time in between!

We had much of a wedding party staying for several days in Estes. It was so close to the ceremony and reception hall making it so convenient. We had space to spread out in the house without being on top of each other. The kitchen is very well stocked! The bedrooms worked great for the mix of people that we had. Would love to come back and stay again!

Beautiful Retreat
Our party of 11 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! There was plenty of room for everyone to get together to eat and play one of the many games available and also enough space to find a quiet corner when needed. The cabin is conveniently located near the downtown area yet has beautiful views of Rocky Mountain National Park whose entrance is only six miles away! The property manager was available as needed and even helped us find a wonderful baker for a birthday cake! We hope to be able to visit here again soon!

The Ponderosa cabin was absolutely wonderful for our family trip to Estes Park. While it had far more sleeping space than what we needed for our family of 4, we truly enjoyed the huge sun room, game room, and seating options in the main living room. Lots of space to spread out and play. The cabin was clean, and had everything we could have possibly needed. The close location to town was also really nice. Love this cabin and highly recommend it to others!

Rested and renewed!
Wonderful stay at Ponderosa—the home was clean, spacious and had many areas for our multigenerational family to spread out, relax and be comfortable!
The lodge atmosphere and decor was beautiful and just what you would want in the mountains. WiFi was outstanding—watched our family’s favorite college football game together in the comfort of the large living room.
Kitchen was stocked up with everything you would need to prepare picnic lunch to full meals. AND it comes with a view of the mountains.
Beds were comfortable and having enough bathroom facilities for our big group of 10 was a plus.
Soo close to town and RMNP. The hosts provided ABOVE and BEYOND care and attention to make sure that we had a
most memorable time on our vacation.
We absolutely loved staying here and hope to return for another visit…soon!!

Great for families
Lovely woodsy cabin, ideally located between the town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Lots of room to spread out, loads of games and activities all within the cabin. Spectacular views of the Rockies!

Great for family vacation
The house was great for our family vacation. It's an older home that is rustic but well-kept with comfortable furniture. The foosball and ping-pong tables were a big hit with the kids. Everything was very clean and the house was well-stocked. The location made for a quick 3 minute drive into downtown Estes Park or 5 minutes to the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center for Rocky Mountain National Park. The wifi connection was strong/stable and worked well through the house. Hope we can stay here again!

Three level property. The lowest level is a detached bedroom and bathroom which also has the washer/dryer. A cozy place for a couple.
There is a master bedroom on the main floor with luxurious king bed. A full bath is adjacent the master bedroom and kitchen.
There are three bedrooms upstairs. One with twin beds, another with a queen, and a third with 4 bunks. The upstairs shower is tight but doable. It’s a busy place if you have lots of guests. A day bed is in the living room.
There is a dining room and separate breakfast area, both with great views of the Rockies.
The kitchen equipment is well stocked. The appliances are modern retro…very cool! There is a game room facing the street with ping pong and fooseball. There is a cabinet with games for kiddies. Only one tv, but we managed to connect to my HBOMax account as well another person’s streaming service.
No air conditioning, but you don’t need it.
Only a half mile walk to the beginning of town.
Deer roam the property.
A good time

If you are looking for that wonderful Estes Park Cabin with plenty of room, this is your place. The cabin is quaint and has enough room for a large family. All kitchen appliances are up to date and each bed room is decorated so nicely. The outdoor area is a great place to sit and relax. It's in the perfect location to get to the park or explore Highway 7 for the other hiking locations. We will be back!
