We loved that we could walk the beach, the pier, restaurants and shops. It was a fantastic place to take our dogs to. We went for the Corgi festival. The home has a small backyard area that we and the dogs loved. There was a doggie door which our dogs are very accustomed to. That was very handy! We would most definitely stay there again.

You can’t beat the location and ease of access of this property, and the responsiveness and professionalism of the Coastal Vacation Rentals staff are superb. But the place needs serious work, going beyond the typical dated decor you find in PB. The electric range burners tilt on the stovetop and are unsafe. There’s a gritty feeling on the floors and tabletops. Some of the cookware is greasy and stored on unlined old wood shelves. The dish drain was so filthy we just didn’t bother to use it. The WiFi is seriously slow. It wouldn’t take a ton of money to get this place in better shape.

We have stayed in other rentals and this is my favorite. It is conveniently located, 2 blocks from the cliffs and beach, close to downtown shops and restaurants. Love the fact that there is a garage and that the yard is fenced. There is an outside table. It is so perfect for my dog, too. It is always very clean and well equipped.

Very comfortable bed. Lots of dishes and utensils. Many towels. We were happy to have the garage. Enjoyed the music we could get on Pandora. Lots of detergent for washing dishes. Nice backyard, although noise from the busy street. Close to the beach. Close to town. We could walk all over. No spices except salt. The Direct TV didn't work very well at times. It kept spinning, especially on the weekend. We just went back to music, so it wasn't so bad. We really enjoyed our time there and would go back. Maybe next year!

The house was very nice and convenient, I love how close it was to the beach and just a 10 minute walk to where all the shops are at!! The bathroom was very nice. The house felt a little dirty, definitely can use a deep clean with the bed sheets and update a few things. But overall very cozy home for a trip has all the basics, I loved.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving and it was great. The unit was clean and had all we needed. We had a couple of issues - the porch light was out and we were missing an ironing board, and the staff and handyman were very responsive. It is in a great location that is walkable to all the shops and restaurants near the pier and on Price Street. We loved having a washer and dryer in our unit. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

We loved that this location was quieter and a bit away from the bustle of the main tourist area, and having a garage meant we always had parking, even during the busy weekend. The small yard was a huge plus both for our dog and for hosing off all the sand after our days on the beach. And so close to the beach!!We cooked most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. When we did eat out we were in easy walking distance to lots of great choices. It was surprising to us that the place was stocked more like a hotel than a VRBO. We had to buy soap, shampoo, and toilet paper to cover our weeklong stay. Wasn't that big a deal - just different. The WiFi was really weak. The only way we could ever connect was to sit right outside the bedroom where the router was located. Again, not a deal killer for us since we had no desire to spend time on our computers, but it did make it hard to check in on important matters at home when necessary. In spite of any small issues, we absolutely loved our stay here and it would be our first choice anytime we visit Pismo Beach. I already wish we could go back!

Rental was clean and ready to go when we arrived a little late in the day. The yard is real nice if you have young children in addition to a dog. Also super close to the beach. Only issue was that we had no control over the heating which did come on at times. So it was a little cold at times. Only issue with booking was that, despite the property being described as allowing dogs, I was not informed about the $100 "pet fee" until after I had made the reservation through VRBO. This was not mentioned anywhere in the listing, and I was informed about it when the rental company called me. By that time, we had already made the decision to bring the dog, and wished they were more transparent about this item.

My wife and I rented this home for a 30 day stay. The location is superb being a few blocks from the ocean and adjacent to Hwy 1 in Pismo Beach. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, however, if desired, the hustle and bustle of the tourist/resort atmosphere of downtown Pismo Beach is only a 5 block walk. This little home has everything you will need: 2 bedrooms w TV's, fully stocked kitchen, lovely appointed living/dining area, a fenced-in grassy side yard, an inside garage and much much more. This is also close to Hwy 101 allowing numerous day trips to San Luis Obispo, Hearst Castle and all of the surrounding beach towns of the central coast.

Overall the home worked for what I needed but it was quite grubby.The kitchen counters and bathrooms were reasonably clean but there was a very musty old-house smell. I believe it imitates from the crawl space not having proper vapor barriers. Under the kitchen counter was absolutely filthy with stuff growing! I living room furniture was smelly and soiled. The windows were an absolute mess. The garage, being the first impression is a smelly, filthy mess. I spent 8 hours just cleaning one day so the place would be habitable. The smell was lessened but never did go away. The owner needs to remove the metal/wicker rack over the toilet, it is rusted and has not been cleaned in what looks like years. The washer and dryer, while functional are old and extremely noisy.

We attended the Pismo Beach classic car event in June, 2014. This was the only property that would allow our dog. Pluses: property within walking distance of the show; had a garage and wi-fi access; washer and dryer available for use; kitchen properly equipped for meal prep; property management very friendly, efficient and professional. Although functional, items in house very dated. Reasoning was because it is pet friendly. This house had one bathroom. We are use to two bathrooms and that was tough. Linens could be replaced--pillows were so flat there was no fluff in them so bring your own if you can; old sheets, blankets and bedspreads. The house was clean for our stay. Would we rental this property again? Maybe.

It had a small yard for our dog. It did have a problem with the doors and keys. Very hard to open, because the doors were swollen.

We spent a summer month here and enjoyed the local areas. The home has a nice yard, which our dog loved. The home is a bit rustic or basic with some attention needed to furniture and decor. The location is nice. You can see he ocean from the patio and easily walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. (Old West Cinnamon Rolls and Splash Cafe have lines out the door. Their food is worth the wait. Woody's at the pier has a nice beach side view.) There is a lovely area just north with a beautiful bluff walk that leads t a park. Don't miss this view! Also, there are many local hikes. We enjoyed the Bob Jones Trail and Avila Beach as well.
