The Blue Sky Beach Resort is actually on the beach: It opens on to a small strip of the public beach at Negril. The beach here is rather narrow. The space is sufficient, however, to place a few deckchairs on it. Two of the hotel rooms offer a view onto the sea, interrupted only by the backside of a sundeck which has been put in between. All the other rooms face onto an interior open hallway. I had a big room facing the sea.
The reception I received at the Blue Sky beach resort was the worst I ever experienced in Jamaica. When I arrived at the appointed time in the afternoon, I was told that my room was not ready yet. There was no apology. I was told to stay wherever I wanted on the property until I could get into the room. I spent the next 2 hours on the sundeck. There was no attempt from staff to do anything about the unfortunate situation. When I finally asked what had happened, I got the room accompanied by a rapid lecture on what was not going to be permitted in the hotel. First of all, there should be no eating or drinking unless the items had been bought from the hotel itself. Also, there is a 3 $ penalty on loosing the card for the beach towels. These regulations were more important to the receptionist than the expected quality of my stay. The check-out lasted half an hour because the room had to inspected thoroughly to see whether there was anything that could be charged to me; I was lucky nothing detrimental was found.. The restaurant is not bad, but way overpriced, if there is any service at all. Most of the time, the staff stood idle and made no attempt to offer anything. The room had a barely functioning shower without hot water.

Very nice property right on the beach, which is exactly what we wanted. We had a very nice experience with all the staff — they all wanted to help. The rooms were clean and comfy.
The restaurant food was just okay and pricey for what it is. I also didn’t like how they automatically included a service charge but dont explain what it is for. The server told me it doesn’t go to them. I cannot justify giving a 15 percent tip on top of that. Minor issue in an overall pleasant stay.

The owner was very communicative before getting there. It's right in the beach although there isn't much sand in between. Friendly and helpful staff. They had free kayak and SUP for guests staying the night. Day pass persons would need to pay to use it.
Felt the bathroom for the King suite could have been nicer. I visited another in a double room and it was more fitting for the king suite. Also didn't like how long the food took to come out, yes it was done to order but I feel it could have been better. They are still renovating so maybe this is from that, but I wish the outside shower coming from the beach was operational.

Nothing obvious

Location, food, and most accommodations were great.
Intervals of low water pressure in bathroom were inconvenient at times.

the staff was amazing. so friendly always asking if everything was going ok and if we needed anything. the food was amazing. the owner and manager were always around if you needed them and interacted with every guest/customer. beautiful location. easy access to the beach. all kinds of things to do.
nothing was included. the price was only for the room. maybe include breakfast with the price. do something like happy hour free for guests a % off for customers. maybe offer a % off on the activities like paraceling, or the many different trips they offer on the beach

The Beach is exceptional. The hotel lies on Negril 7 mile white sand beach. Shallow clear water. The Coral reef a few hundred yards out ensures calm water. Great Vibe. Staff is friendly, responsive and helpful
The hotel is exactly beside a beach frequently used for parties and concerts, many of which continue to 2 or 3 in the morning. The sound projects into the room so even if you didn’t come to party, you are there.

The property was very well, the rooms were very nice and clean. They offer clear paddle boards which are really cool.
she prepared to wait a while for food at the restaurant, I feel like it’s kind of like that everywhere in Jamaica though. They also offer beachfront dining which is really nice at night.

Everything was awesome. I'm scared of insects, and when I tell you I saw NONE in the room or near my room. It was very clean, staff was nice and helped whenever needed. I will definitely be back. This place is too nice.
Also the restaurant food and drinks were great.. only thing missing was the steak.

Our room was nice. Loved the ceilings.
Entertainment was good.
Housekeeping was good.
It's on 7 mile beach and mid way to everything so location was good.
Food portions were weak.(ate breakfast) over priced. Christmas dinner....well your problem obviously is
the chief. Definately not worth the price. Lobster was burt and rubbery. Steak ...a lion probably couldn't chew it. I get it with the cut but properly prepped would have solved this. Had beach towels on chairs along w/ personal towels. When left unattended other people used to wipe their nasty*** with. This happened twice as we went for breakfast. For the price paid we would expect this place to be 5 stars. Sorry ....2.5 at most. P.s. you need a better water system...lack of pressure and hot water half the times we bathed. You also need change light bulbs had few out in our room. Wasn't a deal breaker as compared to all other. Drink prices overly priced as well as anything from your fridge in the room. As far as anything on the tray in the room prices are insane. We definately don't see returning to this hotel again. Unfortunately that's sad because we travel twice a year here. You asked so here it is!

Everything about this property was fabulous. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The views of the 7 mile beach breathtaking. The owner and the staff provided excellent customer service. Live reggae twice a week. My new favorite hotel in Negril.
