Great space - 3 balconies - separate bedroom - location just outside town so pretty quiet and easy access to the beach.
Wonderful hosts and advice on the area and restaurants etc.
We could have used patio furniture on the front balcony so we could have breakfast out of the sun.
The shower was tiny but without changing the whole layout impossible to change I guess.
The bed was too short for my partner

very good location, close to the beach, market center, very nice host, he provided us all needed info about our stay and much more....
a little bit noisy because it is situated by the local main road, very small rooms but value for the money

Evangelos is a great host who really puts the interest of his customers first. He was fulll of helpful advice and accomodating with extra wishes we had. We liked the spaciousness of the apartment and the proximity to the beach. The balcony is also facing a beautiful garden. It felt like a home to me. Great for friends traveling together.
Due to its location close to a road, the sound of cars can be a bit noisy on some evenings.

It is generally a very cramped room and bathroom.

Nice room with small kitchen and fridge. Liked the balcony. Very big private parking lot.
Very close to beaches and town center. Two supermarkets nearby.
Can be a little noise, due to nearby street. I knew this from other reviews, so it was as expected.

Nice place to stay. Very nice staff.
Only offset are motobikes on road on weekends in the night. But this is all along the beachroad. But the room to the back was OK

we looked for a single room with simple kitchen facilities, a toilet and shower and close to the town centre and beaches at a low cost. we found one. this is a superb location, with a totally clean space with two balconies looking out on to a well tended garden and further on to an open space of about 10 hectares which has been allowed to be natural with large reed beds and small shrubs and trees. the birdlife obviously loves the environment too. We had a room at the rear of the block of apartments away from the road (which isnt that busy frankly). The long sandy beach is 70 metres from the front door along the small road. there is a well stocked supermarket and an artisan bakery 100 meters towards the small town.
finally, the town centre is more like a small village of traditional Cretan streets, narrow and full of character. lots of small boutique shops alongside traditional craft shops and a huddle of restaurants closer to the east side of the isthmus, near the ferry dock. The night life is typically noisy Cretan style in and around the restaurant area....(quiet elsewhere)......, but bustling activity along narrow streets with the tables all alfresco spilling in to the now narrow walkway.
A great place to visit and stay a few days. a real taste of a slightly more modern Crete.
Make sure you book in advance for a speedboat ride to Eliphanissi Beach for the day. Book early......
We will be back.
Ps - Our host - Vangelis - met us on arrival. He is charming, speaks good English and so helpful. Classical music is his interest........
thanks for the warm welcome.

Plenty of space in the apartment with the added bonus of onsite parking. It is very well situated across from the main beach and a pleasant stroll into town and also close to the best local supermarket. The host was very attentive and even presented us with a gift of olive oil at the end of our stay once again many thanks.
nothing to dislike

Location..perfect! Host..went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out with what could have been a horrible problem. He made contacts for us and resolved everything!!. Very clean..refrigerator, hot plate, eating area, shower. All were so useful, clean and the room was cozy. It is on a main street directly across from the beach, so great, with an array of restaurants, bakery and a supermarket nearby. Also the ferry is very close if you want to see other villages. The windows have thick wooden shutters that block out traffic noises which are minimal. We think Paleochora is definitely a place we will return to and we will stay here again. Beautiful garden also.

Good location on main road next to Pachia Ammos (sandy) beach. Close to supermarket and centre of town, Paleochora is very small. In fact there were two rooms in the unit, main room with kitchenette and separate bedroom. I liked the balcony/veranda on the back side. Owner was very tentative and always making sure that we didn´t need anything. Every day he emptied trash bins, major cleaning was done third day which was ok for us.
Tiny shower in the bathroom, but it seems this is standard issue everywhere in Greece. Pillows hard as bricks :-)

Location perfect, this was our second visit to the apartment, lovely host, and we could stay as long we wanted on our departure day, great as we had a late flight home
Nothing! Everything perfect

Very clean and host very keen to help us with everything. Also very committed to Covid-19 safety protocols which I was not expecting for such a small place. Complimentary juice and water was also provided which was a nice touch. Although the property is a bit dated the low-ish price makes it good value for money. Parking in the property was super useful.
If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back. The front rooms are facing a major road with a traffic and noise. I would have liked a double bed instead of a twin.
